“We had a fabulous time at Donati. We were just passing by but stopped and glad we did. We had wine tasting and spirit tasting. The host was great. She even provided some books for our daughter to look at and offered her some juice. We will be back.“

“OK, so the wine is good, it was some really good Zins. Among my favorites of the week. Room is small, but did have some outside seating.

Owner was rocking a Trump 2028 hat, so that could affect if some go there or not. The wine is good though, and you can tell the owner loves making wine.“

“There are several wineries in the area but this one has left an impressionable mark on our small group. We popped in a few years ago just because we were in the area for another event. No reservations, no nothing, we just pulled up without the desire for a pretentious experience. We got welcomed like we were family. We left the event having exchanged contacts with the owner. This is an amazing place, family owned, great wines, great people. Put it on your list if you really want to go to a winery that actually gives a shit.“

“A MUST stop location set in the Adelaida District outside Paso Robles! Fun, tasty, beautiful, and educational! John took us on a journey through the vines to fermentation to our palates and we were not disappointed! The views were stunningly picturesque! Large garage doors open up the tasting room to place you smack dab in the middle of the vines! We went at Christmas and one could not help but feel they were in the heart of a hallmark Christmas movie! Do not miss!!!“

“Clesi’s Italian varietals are first class. Their wines were reminiscent of the fine wines we tasted on a trip to Italy a couple years back, smooth, lite, easy to drink. Becky provided us with the back story on each of their varietals and the different regions in Italy they are native to. Clesi winery is now on our short list when in the Paso Robles (Templeton) area.“

“One of the originals in Paso! Thankfully a place that still does great Zin's in addition to their others like the excellent Ms Behave Malbec. Great Rose' as well, very light and easy to drink, perfect for the hotter days. Jessica was excellent as well as was the yard cat who greeted us.“

“On our way out of Paso robles, we decided to stop at a vineyard we had heard mentioned—Hidden Oaks—and wow, are we glad we did.

Paso Robles is wine-tasting country, and this was the only place we chose to taste on this trip… and it felt like hitting the lottery. Since we were driving, we only sipped a few: the Merlot, Cabernet, Red Zinfandel—and we loved them so much we went home with all four bottles. Each one was absolutely tasty, smooth, and beautifully balanced.

What made the experience even more special was the time we spent with the owner, Mike. We had such a sweet, informative conversation with him and truly enjoyed hearing about his journey and his award-winning wines.

A wonderful stop with outstanding wine and genuine hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back.
