“We absolutely love Mameya for our coffee and espresso needs. The best thing is how they prepare your coffee fresh - you choose the beans, choose the roast, and they handle the rest. This leads to a very reliable and consistent experience every time. It's insane the overall variety of beans and roasts they have, you'll be impressed!
Another major positive is their exceptional customer service. They provide great recommendations on how to prepare your coffee properly, and they're incredibly kind, especially to kids. They always give my son a sticker and chat with him, and even complimented his Anpanman shirt!
I highly recommend Mameya, especially to anyone who enjoys fresh, high-quality coffee and a personalized, friendly experience.
For the best experience, I recommend calling ahead for beans to be roasted. Alternatively, you can wait and enjoy a cup of coffee while they roast. Or enjoy the ambiance and study/work there for a bit, they have WiFi!

“This is my favorite local coffee shop in South OC! I love their iced lavender latte. They have a huge variety of flavors for coffee & more authentic tasting than a Starbucks. Wide variety of pastries, bagels, muffins, etc. All of their food is delicious & freshly made. I recommend the scramblers, salads & sandwiches. They have a nice patio for outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. The staff and owners are so sweet!

You can really taste the quality and care put into each pastry. “Just fantastic. I just love being able to talk coffee and enjoy really great espresso shots and drinks with someone like Nick who knows the art of making espresso and their ways with the coffee beans.

We first tried a double shot espresso shot with their Espresso Blend, and it has great complexity and flavor with lingering chocolate finish, but the real surprise treat was when he pulled a blonde shot with the Uganda light roast. I've never had a light roast as espresso and I was surprised at how good it was! So much so that I bought a whole bag of the Uganads Light Roast to try at home!

This is a worthwhile store to go to and I'd choose this over Starbucks any day of the week!“

I found this place after an appointment in the area, got four different macarons and one of the honey cakes. Wow. Insane, everything. The strawberry raspberry and the Dubai flavor macarons were far and away my favorite, but everything was insane. The honey cake was amazing too, very different from anything I’ve had yet but loved it. Will be back again.“

Had an issue with another locations remade drink and they were happy to replace it.. the other location just couldn't seem to make it per the starbucks recipe (super wasteful on time & ingredients)..but this location did it right the first time..well I was back again because that same location couldnt keep up with their mobile orders causing it to be an overall, 25 minute wait...which would have made us late so we had to leave.. :( thinking we should just make this one our location.. “I've had a few great experiences here lately. I've needed a place to get some work done but get out of my house. This was perfect spot. Plenty of seating (inside and out), including seats with power outlets. WiFi works well enough for most work. Now that they have free refills and mugs and plates, I can work there for 3 hours and keep my coffee hot.

Staff is friendly. I even got some really cool latte art during my recent visit!

“I ordered their BLTA on sourdough and a fruit tart. The sandwich was absolutely DELICIOUS!! All the ingredients were crisp and fresh, and the bacon was crispy but not at all burnt! It was literally the best bacon sandwich I've had since moving here. It's a simple comfort food but they absolutely nailed it!! The fruit tart was a delight as well!! The cream was light and sweet with a heavenly tart crust.
The shop's interior was clean and beautifully decorated and they made me feeling right at home. (Also their bathroom was clean and smelt so nice!)
I hope to return soon and try out even more if their pastries. They had some super delicious looking things like a baclava cheesecake and a blueberry scone!!“
