“Simply Sweet Cakery was one of the wedding cake vendors through our wedding venue University Club by Wedgewood Weddings. Brooke and Christina were a delight to work with and so organized! To be completely honest, we actually did two different cake tastings because we were a little concerned with the cake texture during our first tasting and we wanted to try some additional flavors. We ended up choosing two cake flavors: lemon raspberry and red velvet. Let me tell you...I was completely blown away by the final product on our wedding day. The wedding cake was actually a priority for us, but let me tell you...it was delicious!! During our cake cutting, I stuck my fork in the cake for another bite because the initial bite was THAT GOOD. It wasn't overly sweet and the texture was spot on and so moist. So so happy that they were one of the preferred vendors of my venue!!“

“Was looking for an exceptional butter cream cake for my wife's birthday. Started searching on Google for bakeries and Penelope's caught my eye. I stopped by the shop to get a sense of what they were about and spoke with Penelope's husband who was so passionate about his wife's cakes, I ended up ordering an 8' vanilla butter cream cake. Per their instructions I let the cake sit out for what turned out to be a little over 5 hours before serving and I have to say, this is, without a doubt, the best cake I've ever had and it's not even close. There is really nothing that you can't love about this place.“

“I am new to Bellflower, and haven't really acclimated yet. I needed a birthday cake asap. I am so happy I found Fantasy Cakes Bakery. The owner took my order and he was very personable.. I ordered the cake Friday afternoon and it was ready for pick-up Saturday morning... The bakery was not even a five minute drive from my house, lots of ample parking in the back, and the shop is too cute.. that whole area has lots of curb appeal... I don't ever drive that way (work in the opposite direction). The cake was adorable, it was perfect... it wasn't an elaborate cake, but it was perfect for me. I wasn't able to take any pictures, it was eaten in like, 2.4 seconds. I don't even like cake or sweets, but I liked that cake... The cake had lemon cream filling and vanilla frosting, it was moist and just very delicious... all the February birthday names fit perfectly and they loved it... one of my nieces kinda had a tear.. not sure cause I remembered her birthday or maybe because she was suppose to give up sweets for lent.. I gave her pictures with my ideas and she provided me with exactly what I was looking for. The cookies were beautifully wrapped and were delicious! “Let's start with the chocolate nutty sandwich. Two flourless peanut butter cookies with chocolate buttercream in the middle. I'd rate it a 3.5 - the chocolate is pretty sweet, and my cookies were quite crumbly to the touch. Overall, not my favorite, but, not my least favorite. On to the strawberry cake... WOW!!! Absolutely delightful! The strawberry purée buttercream really is the star of the show here. I'm sad they won't offer this after this month, but also happy, because I would be tempted to get this all the time. If you get a chance in the next few days to try this, I would. Moist, super tasty, and oh-so-strawberrylicious. Solid 5 stars. As for the service - couldn't tell you who helped me. She barely spoke to me outside of, "anything else?". And when I paid, I was the one who had to say, "Have a good day!". 1 star. The cake boosts my overall rating - it's just so good.“

“My girlfriend and I went since I got a birthday BOGO and it was great. I got banana ice cream with Oreo pans peanut butter cups mixed in with a chocolate dipped waffle cone with nuts. It was magical and my girlfriend got their Mud pie signature ice cream. There wasn't much of a line and we were served quickly and she was patient while I went back and forth about what I wanted.
