“We LOVE Alice’s. It is a tried and true establishment. If you want to hang with a complete cross section of Northern California, this is the place to be on the weekends. Locals ride horses and “park” the while they eat. Motorcycle cubs gather and eat. Tech bros and students come here. Local mountain folk and Stanford’s faculty hang here too.
The food is great and reliable. We love the homemade chips with all sandwiches and the beef chili on cold nights.
We love it best on a rainy day when there is no crowd and the cloud mist rolls through the dining area. They are definitely missing a cold weather chicken soup staple to go with these awesome cozy winter days, but they have coffee!“

The waiter was the worst service i've ever had, he didn't even put in my food order, he didn't even come to give us a check , we had to go back and forth and ask for dessert at the counter. And as we left , he didn't even say thank you.

But I want to say that we had the best busser ever! He filled our waters constantly, he noticed that I wasn't getting my food and checked on me, and he's packed my food up. He actually cared about our family and our food and our experience. So thank you to him, he saved our experience.“

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my first visit was nothing but a very nice experience. Two young men behind the counter seemed really friendly and helpful. The other customers in the store at the time seemed very happy. I came for alfajores today, but I will definitely go back for more alfajores and other goodies!“

“I went there yesterday for the first time and it instantly became my new favorite spot in Menlo Park
staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. they took the time to explain the menu, made great recommendations, and just had the warmest energy the whole time. You can really feel they care about their guests.
And the food? Out of this world. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor the hummus was silky and perfectly seasoned, the pomegranate kebabs were tender and juicy with that amazing mix of flavor, and don’t even get me started on the baklava… best I’ve had in ages. Portions were generous too.“

The cesar salad was dressed to perfection served on a chilled plate w/shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano.. Delish! My short rib ravioli special was exactly what I was hoping for. Hand made in house pasta baked to perfection. My wife had the sacchettto vegi pasta pocket stuffed w/vegis . The red sauce had tremendous flavor... and perfect to mop up with the bread. 🤪... The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The order took about 20 minutes and we had a drink outside while waiting. I HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and grits. Over anything else on the menu! And I was told the gnocchi was amazing too iAnd of course the pizza is awesome!“
