“Evan's is hands down one of the best BBQ joints around. Every visit has been spot-on — not a single miss! The brisket is absolutely killer, and that summer salad hits the spot (gotta balance out the meat and healthy items...right?).

For my birthday, my wife catered from Evan's, and they nailed it. One of the standout items was the smoked chicken, and let me tell you — the tray of chicken thighs they delivered looked like something straight out of a championship turn-in box.

Each thigh had a beautifully rendered, bite-through skin — a true pitmaster's touch — and the meat was perfectly juicy, coming clean off the bone without falling apart. Flavor? On point. Smoke? Clean and balanced. It was BBQ chicken perfection.

I would add a picture but that tray of chicken got hit like a trash can at midnight by a family of raccoons!“

“Brandon was our server and he was so nice, so funny, and explained everything to us loved it!! The wall decor is awesome, they even had robots serving your side dishes! The Diamond Tier was awesome with grade A5 the dry aged wagyu was melt in your mouth good! Just as good as what we had in Japan. Brandon cooked them up for us and we enjoyed talking with him. Celebrating my husband's birthday they sing and have some ice creamsicles ube or honeydew flavors. They do have drink stations, some extra food stations, a dessert station all of which you can walk around to grab yourself. The Otoro thick cut and black pepper beef cubes were our other favorites. Can't wait to go back!“

“I recently tried Chubby Skewers and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a great selection of meats, and at $1.20 per skewer, it’s easy to try a variety without spending too much.

That said, some of the meats were a bit on the tougher side, which took away from the experience a little. But not everything was a miss, the grilled oysters and scallops were definitely highlights and tasted really good.

I also liked that you can order from the menu if you want something more than skewers. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for variety at a reasonable price, with a few standout items worth coming back for.“

“Great BBQ! My dad is from Tennessee, and said this is his favorite BBQ he’s ever had. High praise! We love the beef ribs the most but all the meat we have tried is great (pork ribs, brisket, smoked turkey).

“Had the best food at Smoke Queen Barbecue: the tri tip, chicken, sausage, ribs, and delicious sides were all fall off the bone fantastic. Try the sesame slaw with spicy cucumbers, macaroni and cheese and fries. We loved the banana pudding, bread pudding, beers on tap, all with a great smile and playground to enjoy with our family. “I finally tried Oniku in Garden Grove after hearing about it, and honestly it was better than I expected.

I like that you don’t have to choose between BBQ or hot pot , you can do both at the same table, which is nice when going with family or friends.

My family went with the $53.95 one so we could try everything, and it felt worth it.

The meat was pretty good for AYCE beef was nicely marbled, short ribs were tender, and the beef tongue was thin and easy to cook. Seafood was fresh too, I liked the shrimp and scallops.

There’s a self serve area with veggies and sides, so you have more to choose from. Service was quick, and the robot bringing food out was kind of interesting.

Parking was easy, plenty of space when we went.

Overall, good food, fair price, and a chill spot to go with a group. I’d come back.“

The potato noodles is very tasty. I will say the best one in LA. If you want to add more protein to the soup that’s good. It is also good for the original recipe. I absolutely love the numbing, peppery flavor of Sichuan pepper in potato noodles.“

Here’s the difference this was not Chinese food that has been Americanized in most Chinese restaurants. “Saw an ad for Joey's in a travel magazine, and decided to try them. Ordered bbq beef ribs and chicken with sides on line. Got there at the pickup time and had to wait, as they were really busy. We both got the Loco Moco bowl and it was perfect for us but we may try the Loco Moco plate when it's the house special on Friday. With a ramp access to the entrance. They offer seating at the bar. Booth seating along with tables & chairs. The ribs were tasty with a good bite. Pulled pork was tender & juicy. The brisket was over cooked, little dry and to firm. Mac & cheese was hot , cheesy and lite. Mashed potatoes a little to salty. Tri tip was not available that day. Salad with chopped up cherry tomatoes. Baked beans had some personal spices added to get past the canned variety taste. They offer a big screen TV in the bar area. Public restrooms are available. The hours have changed to 4-10pm only. Lunch is no longer available with the buffet selection they previously offered. Just walk in and seat yourself. This would be more like a neighborhood spot. They are on the pricey side. Portion sizes are adequate.“

“My service organization regularly came to Silver Spoons' predecessor, so when we found out that Silver Spoons was open, we made the restaurant our next meeting location so we can try it out!

I usually order my go-to to test out a Thai restaurant, so I ordered the pork pad see ew ($14.95) and mild golden curry with chicken ($14.95). I would've ordered a fried rice, but the mild papaya salad ($13.95) caught my attention instead. Note that the dishes come with your choice of chicken, pork, or tofu included in the price, but if you want beef, it'll be an extra dollar, and for shrimp, an extra $2. What was surprising was that the curry doesn't come with white rice. You'd have to fork out an extra $2.50 for that. I thought everything tasted great, though both the papaya salad and pad see ew was a little heavy on the sauce.

My friend ordered mango sticky rice ($12.99) for dessert and I was surprised and happy they had that available (I went to another Thai restaurant during Christmas time and while they had the mango sticky rice on the menu, they said it was not in season so they weren't selling any). I took a few bites of it and enjoyed it -- not too sweet and not too heavy! Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free Thai tea.
