“There are some really good Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants in Denver: Glo, Ginger Pig, Mister Oso... Hop Alley didn't live up to the hype for me. Everything was good, but not great. The service was fine, and I appreciated the food coming out quickly, but the pace felt rushed. The cocktails were weird twists on bar classics, and we've had better Chinese food elsewhere in Denver. Overall, really glad we tried it, but we'll be sticking to our preferred staples in RiNo.”

Well I went back 2x over the 3 days the food was so good, I sat at the bar (a lot of fun since I was by myself) and felt totally welcome and comfortable. THE CEVICHE and BROCOLLI were to die for. “This is the second time I've been here and both times I was so impressed with the attentiveness of the staff and how willing they are to take the time to get you a cocktail that's perfect. There are lots to choose from, so they're happy to guide you and they'll also ask what you like and cheerfully recommend something from a past menu if it seems like a fit. The food is also outstanding. Both times I've gotten the ciabatta and I craved it for days after. Last night we also got the deviled eggs (so creamy!), scallops, and latkes, all delicious. The speakeasy aspect is cute the first time but since we got there when it opened this time it was kind of silly because everyone was crowded into the tiny room up front and had to move back every time they opened the door. Once you're in, though, everything is cozy and charming and lovely. Afterwards, we went to the Occidental next door and the staff was equally delightful. I haven't experienced such cheerful and helpful waitstaff probably ever.”

We also ordered a few drinks. I had make me a gin cocktail and it was just ok. My friends enjoyed their drinks.”

“Best ramen EVER! We stumbled upon Uncle over a decade ago, and since then anytime we’re in CO we come for dinner. The spicy chicken ramen is hands down the best, love all of the bao buns, eggplant is my favorite, but can’t go wrong with crab or pork belly ones either. We’ve never had anything bad, service is always great too! Be sure to make a reservation.”

“Pre TSO concert lunch. Trying to find out if they were open today was a challenge I think the website reservation system was not operating correctly. Finally I found they were fully booked for the day which meant I could get my usual seat at the bar. I arrived for 1 pm opening and was told they would be open 1:30 or 2. I had a view from my car and about 5 minutes later (about 1:10) they opened. I mention this because the woman who had the unenviable task of turning people away did it such a pleasant way that it was hard to be upset. I always sit at the bar since I come solo. Service was excellent and the food was actually better than I remember it being. As with all things all it takes is one person to make a visit memorable. The door-woman was one of them and the bartender, Kandra, was the other. If your party is 2 or more always make a reservation. If you are flying solo get in line early to grab open seating in the bar.”

“I'm not an expert. I don't know what makes anything the best. I know I like Taco Star off Peoria because the staff is pleasant, the food tastes good, satisfies my hunger and portions are huge. I've had the chorizo burrito and carne asada burrito and chips several times. My wife had the supreme veg burrito each under twelve bucks and always enough for two meals (three in my wife's case - she eats like a bird). Good food at a great price!”

The atmosphere is awesome due to the incredible décor, large screen, a multitude of different type of seating, large TV’s located all around the bar! The service and restaurant is second to none! The bartenders are so professional and friendly. Believe it or not we were actually asked if we were satisfied with our drinks! We were politely and professionally served our many food and drink selections! When our pizza slices were served, my mouth dropped, because I have never seen slices of pizza so huge! I have not had a slice of pizza that was so good with just the right amount of tasty toppings on mine! We ordered chicken wings, half naked and half buffalo wing sauce. The chicken wings had been fried to perfection and was so good we could not make up our minds which type of chicken wings was the best, so we called it a pleasingly tie!”

However we were hoping the the bibimbap to be hot but it was served to us cold which we were not expecting. Overall definitely recommend Uncle for Ramen.”

“I come here every single year on the same day for my first date anniversary! They've even accomodated our whole family on our wedding day at their other location! I've always loved them since they first opened. The service & ambiance is always top notch. Their Vietnamese coffee is tasty, with a mix of spices! One of my fave coffees in Denver.

I do think expanding to 3 locations after all this time has maybe created a level of quality control that can't be helped.

Unfortunately, it's hard to come as often now because the food has changed significantly since the beginning. The menu itself hasn't changed, so we order the same things almost every time. Their congee which used to be balanced & complex is now heavily salted/inedible (we bring it home & make a huge pot with it and still can't reduce all the salt.) Their duck fried rice is mainly oil now, and the rice soaks it in, becoming soggy. This has been the case the last few times we've stopped by or brought friends.

Their chilaquiles is still consistently enjoyable, alongside the breakfast burrito. It's just a shame a lot of the Asian brunch items that made them a standout before are no longer good.

We'll still come every year, same as always since it has such a big piece of our hearts, and hopefully the food will get back on track someday.”

“Of all the Popeye's I've visited, this one is the best. The counter staff is friendly and the chicken is done to perfection. My only complaint is that the spicy is not very spicy, but this isn't The Big Easy. The atmosphere is a little cramped. It's a little difficult to know who's waiting to order and who's waiting to pick up. But the food is worth a little confusion, and I've found all the patrons to be pretty patient and convivial.”

“I have been going there for over 40 years. It is one of the best family restaurants in the neighborhood. My favorites are the Greek Chicken and Mexican Hamburger wings. The service is very personal; they all know you by name, and hugs are a delight. The owners are the best and treat you like you are part of the family. Every holiday, the decorations are professionally set up making the atmosphere calming and enjoyable to look at. They are big supporters of the Girl Scouts. “The workers taking the order were great, the food was good. The huge problem was the bartender! After I ordered my food (while waiting) I decided to have a beer. I sat down and asked for an IPA; the bar turned out a menu in front of me and I explained that I had ordered. That’s when he said that I was supposed to order from him if sitting at the bar and to remember that in the futur (in a rude tone). I sled of if I could still eat there and he said “I never said you couldn’t eat here” in an even ruder tone. That’s when I walked away”

“A diabetic in our party was low blood sugar. Ms. Maria, our server, made sure that juice and bread was made immediately available. A celiac was also present and Ms. Maria helped ensure that there was no cross-contamination in our meal. She also checked on our table multiple times. Her service was exemplary. “We celebrated a birthday dinner at Shanahan's Steakhouse and had a wonderful experience. The porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly, on ripping hot (and buttered!) plates. The French onion soup and calamari with shishito peppers made for great starters. The staff surprised us with a delicious chocolate dessert topped with a candle, which made the evening extra special. The service was excellent, and the ambience warm and elegant—a perfect spot for a memorable celebration.”

“We had a fantastic experience at Venice! We’ve lived in Denver for 20 years and we never knew this place existed. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing, so authentic! We went with our 3 kids (13, 10 and 10), they ordered off the kids menu and loved the fettuccini Alfredo. The service was excellent, and our server, Gillian was on point. I can’t say enough good things about him. We will most definitely be back. I would recommend this place to anyone. This place is really nice and intimate feeling. Great for a date night or a family dinner, so long you have well behaved kids who love good food.”

The avocado salmon roll was buttery umame and the Tonkatsu ramen hit just right. The pork flavor was strong but not too rich, and they gave me a generous portion of pork belly. “So my boyfriend and I went out to eat tonight and came across your restaurant. I’ll try tacos from anywhere anytime! I ordered 3 asada tacos with sides of beans & rice. Patty helped us out and for the life of me can’t remember the cooks name (Saturday night (10/11/25). This by far is one of the best taco restaurants I’ve been to in a long time and will DEFINITELY be coming back. Worth the drive from east Aurora.”

“My boyfriend is always looking for somewhere to take me with variety and unique flavors to try. He succeeded here, and it was one of my favorite dining experiences in the area so far. We were running a few minutes behind our reservation and called ahead. This was handled in a supportive and understanding manner and did not impact our visit at all. The staff were friendly and professional, from the kind woman who greeted us upon entry to the attentive waitstaff and manager who checked in several times throughout our meal. We were very satisfied with the service.
I had the pleasure of tasting several cocktails and each was a balance of flavors thoroughly enjoyed. The attention given to each dish by the culinary crafters was precise and beautifully plated. A highlights was being served one of two available tuna collar portions. This was well prepared and we savored every bite.
Other menu items that stood out for me include the pierogi which had a wonderful sweetness pulling the flavors together, and the lamb shank shared between us. There are other reviews mentioning the brioche rolls and butter bears and they are right to do so. It was a lovely way to kick of a memorable dining experience.
I truly appreciated how the atmosphere, staff, and food all came together to make our meal special.”
