“This was our first time at Spuntino. My friend and I loved it. The food is creative and delicious. We were in the back room, and it got quite loud sometimes because it's so small and everyone is having lively conversations. The one thing that bummed me out, but I thought was cool at the same time, is that the kitchen is right there in the main room out in the open. Like it would be if you were cooking in your own kitchen. How neat to watch it all go down! However, my hair and clothes stunk like bacon after I left. I would still go back in a heartbeat. There are more things I'd like to try.”

“I did some research on local restaurants before my 3 day trip to Denver and was so happy to have found Lucina Eatery. Let's start with the vibe and atmosphere. I felt right at home. The staff was fantastic from Alexander Moon (GM) to Billie (bartender with the right amount of sass, playfullness and desire to please). NOW FOR THE FOOD. Well I went back 2x over the 3 days the food was so good, I sat at the bar (a lot of fun since I was by myself) and felt totally welcome and comfortable. THE CEVICHE and BROCOLLI were to die for. I have 4 orders of Ceviche. I love this place and will be back”

Haha the atmosphere in the place is so down to earth and raw with it’s authenticity its a unique feel in todays gentrified aesthetics. “This was the best sushi I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never been to Japan but I can only imagine that it tastes like this. The yellow tail sashimi was AMAZING. It was so buttery and smooth and it tasted so amazing. I can still remember how incredibly it tasted and my mouth is watering thinking about it.”

“The food here is absolutely delicious, from their oysters to the crab cakes to their octopus, everything is amazing.
We usually go here during their happy hour and get both raw and grilled oysters (I recommend the devil’s butter) and then something off of their main menu as well.
Their drink deals are great as well, and the vibe in the restaurant is laid back but the food smacks you into thinking it’s a fancy pants place.”

“Major Tom is one of my favorite spots in Denver. The staff is incredible, and the cocktails are inventive, thoughtful, and seriously delicious. They even have a mezcal cocktail that I’m obsessed with—and I absolutely hate mezcal. That’s the magic of Major Tom: somehow they can change your mind.

And DO NOT skip the chickpea fritters. I don’t know what kind of black magic is happening in that kitchen, but they are sooo good.

I also love their occasional pop-ups. It’s always fun to see talented chefs collaborate and bring something new to the space. Great drinks, great food, great people, and always a reason to come back.”

“We had reservations for an early dinner at Alma Fonda Fina! It is a Michelin Star Restaurant and let me tell you, they earned it! This wasn't about a meal to satisfy your hunger-this was a complete experience! One where you would see the beautiful plating, smell the aromas, take a bite, listen to your palate, then feel your taste buds sing! To feel individual flavors alone, yet understand the pairings! Our favorite dish was the scallops in tomato butter! May have been the best thing I have ever tasted in my life! The coolest part of this was we got our reservations to sit at the Chef's Counter! It is seating directly facing the kitchen and prep area where you can watch the culinary staff do their magic! We watched them prepare each dish right in front of us! The Chef's were very informative and attentive! Another incredible experience in itself!”

“Variety like I have never seen before! Menu offers so many choices that I had to venture beyond my tried and true favorites. I usually have Palak or Saag Paneer. I tried a different paneer and the honey curry. Chef noted my desire to stay on the mild spice side. The tandoori chicken wings were among the tops of my wings experience. If you are there for happy hour (starts at 3 pm), you must try them! I ordered a large amount of food so I’d have leftovers to take home.”

“Pre TSO concert lunch. Trying to find out if they were open today was a challenge I think the website reservation system was not operating correctly. Finally I found they were fully booked for the day which meant I could get my usual seat at the bar. I arrived for 1 pm opening and was told they would be open 1:30 or 2. I had a view from my car and about 5 minutes later (about 1:10) they opened. I mention this because the woman who had the unenviable task of turning people away did it such a pleasant way that it was hard to be upset. I always sit at the bar since I come solo. Service was excellent and the food was actually better than I remember it being. As with all things all it takes is one person to make a visit memorable. The door-woman was one of them and the bartender, Kandra, was the other. If your party is 2 or more always make a reservation. If you are flying solo get in line early to grab open seating in the bar.”

We have come to lil Coffea many times all the way from Texas and they have never dissipated. This is what I think of when I think of a cozy little coffee shop. The place is small and intimate with lots of great music playing while you enjoy your food. We got the spicy chicken sandwich, breakfast bagel sandwich and a side of the truffle Parmesan fries. All three were incredible and highly recommended. Along with the food we grabbed a wildflower matcha lemonade and a cookie butter latte, both 10/10. The employees were super friendly and were super helpful when ordering. We love this place so much we can’t help but to come to every time we visit.

“**2025 update - I recently ordered lactation cookies from Courtney and started them a couple days before my c section delivery and I swear they made such a big difference in my milk supply coming in right away - and are so good I had to tell my husband they were off limits! I am now completely hooked and reorder every two weeks. If you’re a new mom, soon to be mom, or just want to give the new mom in your life a gift - order these ASAP.

10/10 recommend! We used flour power for our wedding and she made the most amazing cake pops and mini Oreo cheesecake bites - all of our guests are still raving about them 2 years later! She worked with us to customize the order to match the aesthetic and everything was delicious. She has since made other treats such as cookie bars, cake pops, and birthday cakes and it never disappoints! Book her today - you won’t regret it.”

“This restaurant(s) is so unique and incredibly sophisticated no matter what venue you are looking for this is the place! The atmosphere is awesome due to the incredible décor, large screen, a multitude of different type of seating, large TV’s located all around the bar! The service and restaurant is second to none! The bartenders are so professional and friendly. Believe it or not we were actually asked if we were satisfied with our drinks! We were politely and professionally served our many food and drink selections! When our pizza slices were served, my mouth dropped, because I have never seen slices of pizza so huge! I have not had a slice of pizza that was so good with just the right amount of tasty toppings on mine! We ordered chicken wings, half naked and half buffalo wing sauce. The chicken wings had been fried to perfection and was so good we could not make up our minds which type of chicken wings was the best, so we called it a pleasingly tie!”

“My first apartment as a young woman was off Cheesman Park and I use to go to Lik’s Ice cream often. I recently visited. I think it might have had a different name back then. It appears they are still using the same refrigerated cases from the 80’s. I do not think they have painted it or have ever had an update on the inside. The cleanliness is hard to know. I was surprised by the limited number of ice cream flavors they had. I recall years ago there were more options. But they had the standards and a few different ones. The ice cream is still good. I bet they have 12 different flavors. It was busy. 90 degree weather helps business. Parking is on street and it’s not that easy to get. Some of the staff have piercings, odd colors in their hair and appear to be rockers. They are friendly. If you’re in the area an ice cream cone might be the answer for a hot day in Denver. I liked the chocolate bourbon flavor.”

What was noted is how large the green tea mug is- that’s fantastic, and the bowl of edamame was also large. Minus a star reasoning- good food, quaint location, and friendly service, but nothing felt like “wow, I will brag about that meal”. And there are some sushi meals that I still think about today. So 4 is that’s it’s a good place to go, you’ll have really good meal, and it’ll be at the same cost of other places.”

“What a phenomenal experience my husband and I had tonight! First off I should say we have never experienced a dining experience like this before and we were not sure what to expect, but we were blown away from start to finish! As we first walked into the restaurant we were greeted with a huge smile and warm welcoming from the host Lana, who kindly sat us at our table. Immediately as we were sat we were greeted by Adam the bartender with a glass of champagne! I mentioned I was pregnant and couldn’t not drink and he immediately apologized and offered me a sparkling nonalcoholic champagne. My husband also ordered a cocktail and Adam was very thoughtful and made me a mocktail (actually 2 different ones) both were absolutely delicious. After we were settled in that’s where the fun began. The Head chef Michael came to the table and introduced himself and explained the menu along with asking us if we had any dietary restrictions, or didn’t like anything specifically. We ended up going with the Chefs tasting menu to get the full experience. Each course was brought out by the Head chef or a staff member and was explained to us in detail of how he came about the dish itself along with how it was made and the ingredients. From the mini plates to the main course to the mini dessert to the main dessert everything was made with passion and love for food! My husband and myself are both very blown away from this whole experience and very grateful for the way the staff and the entire team worked together to make this an unforgettable experience that will never be forgotten!”

I sat down and asked for an IPA; the bar turned out a menu in front of me and I explained that I had ordered. They way they talk about where they sourced the rice to the detail of what type of vinegar it uses on the rice. The fish just melts in your mouth and the sushi rice just falls apart when it hits your mouth.”

Also, our waiter Mia was really friendly. I love Southern food but normally it's a gut bomb. This maintained the character and flavors but incorporated good quality ingredients and wasn't super greasy. Lastly, the music was great.”
