“I dined here with a group of six a couple of weeks ago and everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The portions were very generous, our waiter was attentive, kind and pleasant. The music, atmosphere and ambiance were lovely and the food and desserts were incredible. I ordered food to go last night and met the owner, he was such a wonderful man and very appreciative of his customers. Once again everything was perfect and delicious. I can’t wait to go back soon. I highly recommend that you check out Flames soon.”

“I doubt seriously if you'll find a better selection of home made middle Eastern foods anywhere - This place even outdoes NYC. Fresh, tasty, generous servings, reasonable prices. Take out or order and eat in the large dining area exquisitely decorated. This is a hidden gem in Monroe. Say hello to Lola - the owner and proud chef. By the way, it's worth a visit just to see the Egyptian Decor and statuary.”

“Always get our King Salmon here! Always order lunch too. The BEST FISH N CHIPS in CT, hands down!!! Better than many other big name seafood places and 1/2 the price. Fish was flaky, melt in your mouth quality. Breading was just right for the thick pieces (2) of cod you get with the meal. We will get fish n chips every time we shop. Wide variety of different offerings that are fresh. Employee (s)/owner incredibly knowledgeable. A go to for holiday time.”

“We had my daughter’s bridal shower at Monroe Social back in June. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Constantin did an amazing job helping me with the planning details. Dave was absolutely amazing the day of the brunch…from set-up until the end! He handled all of our requests, with a big smile on his face to boot! The brunch was delicious. What a great venue for any celebration! Thank you!”

“This is our go-to take out for Indian food in the area. The food is so good and our whole family loves is. My kids ask for the chicken tikka masala and the breads all the time! Small family run restaurant so give them plenty of time to prepare your order. It's worth the wait for how delicious the food is!”

“Amazing food, but unfortunately we had a bad experience at Jennie’s today, one lady I believe works there’s treats us really rude, supposedly b a family lunch and she destroy everything, we have to take all or food back to home because we can’t stay after her act, totally rude, but when we got home I have to say, the food is amazing”

“AMAZING! A.S is amazing. Their staff is so patient and helpful. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the location is near perfect. We usually travel to Norwalk, but thankful they opened a location near Shelton/Monroe. We went before Christmas Eve and it made our holiday feel “normal”.”

“This might be the best take out Chinese. The food is made quickly and is always fresh. They have really good boneless spare ribs and lo mein. They also have Chinese tea, chopsticks, and sauce packets available. The owners are friendly. They have a small table to wait at too. Overall excellent Chinese take out.”

“The quest for great Chinese food in the Trumbull area has brought me many places! Bridgeport, Monroe, Trumbull, even parts of Fairfield... but my favorite so far, has been Xiang's Kitchen. It was a recommendation from someone in Easton that brought me here! According to them, Xiang's was the best! And I agree.
I'm a simple man when it comes to Chinese food, just some mild General Tso's, some beef lo mein, and steamed dumplings. Its the occasional dinner takeout. Xiang's has a combination plate with fried rice and an egg roll, which is great. It comes so stacked into that container, they couldn't fit anymore in there. I love it! Prices are decent too and the food is great. Definitely recommend!”

“My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a whim since our first two places didn’t work out. We enjoyed what we got I got a well done bacon egg and cheese and my friend had the Gorgonzola salad. My friend was a huge fan of the salad and even made sure to tell the manager. I would go again to try something else and I know my friend will be back for the salad!”

“We have been coming here for years since their daughter was a little girl. She used to sit at a table and do her homework while her hard working parents worked. The food is great, they are very efficient and we highly recommend this take-out place.”

“Soup is exceptionally good. I’ve tried just about all of them and every one has been great! They have vegetarian and gluten free soups and ALL are really really good. Service is slow and atmosphere is meh — but who cares? The soup makes up for everything. Highly recommend. But if you’re in a hurry, call ahead & order.”

“Had an amazing experience at MacDaddy’s again today. Went there for the first time nearly 10 years ago and they’ve only gotten better, which is hard considering how great my first experience was.
