“My husband surprised me with a Princess cake. I mentioned I’d love to try one after seeing it in a baking show. He searched online and Marjolaine’s was the only place he could find. He drove over an hour to pick it up and it was well worth the drive! We just picked up a Dacquoise. This one was a request from our daughter. We tried a smaller version that was in the case. It was absolutely delicious! So light and airy and the flavor was divine! We are driving this cake all the way to NC and are 100% certain that our daughter will be thrilled ! We are heading back in the beginning of April for a Marjolaine for our daughter in law. It is well worth the trip!!!“

“Elizabeth's Bakery now has some GF items. Today I tried their GF blueberry muffin & brownie. The muffin is amazing! It didn't taste GF at all. Lots of blueberries, not overly sweet like some GF baked goods; great texture -not gummy at all; and a wonderfully big muffin like it's gluten containing counterpart. The brownie is soooo fudge! It is not gummy at all. Tastes just like a gluten containing brownie (well at least what I remember them tasting like). These are so much better than any GF brownie mix & better than any recipe I have made at home. It's been years since I have been able to purchase a great tasting GF item at a bakery. “I'm from NY and live in Vermont, my brother brought me up some Neil's donuts and bagels for the first time this weekend, he'll now have to do it every time he comes up. In my 44 yrs on earth, these are by far the best donuts and bagels I've ever had and that's saying a lot coming from NY, land of the bagel. If you have the chance to try Neil's, go for it, you won't be disappointed“

“Probably the most amazing bakery in all of Connecticut. It’s very expensive for a bakery (you’ve been warned!) but the desserts are incredible. So delicate, amazing flavor profiles, beautifully presented. Each dessert often has an unexpected component. In summer 2024, the peach tart was incredible. The cream puffs, which are always there. are classic. There’s a small little courtyard next to the bakery where you can eat the sweets.“

She didn’t realize they were cash only, so she left empty handed. 15 mins later the owner calls and offers to meet my aunt in her hometown to deliver the bread. Service above and beyond!“

It was a joy to work with Ana and she made sure that the cake was exactly what we wanted - it looked like something out of a fairytale.
