“We visited Fort Walton for the first time and I had already planned to visit this restaurant. I was so excited because of what I saw on the internet. It absolutely did not disappoint. We enjoyed the nachos & mixed drinks. The scavenger hunt was so much fun with my husband and 3 year old and the alligator show was so educational. We will definitely go back!! Oh, and we met “Henry” the 1 year old baby gator that we took a photo with!”

“Went to Fish-On in Destin today and had an awesome experience. The manager and chef both came out and introduced themselves, which you don’t see much anymore. We learned they’re one of only three restaurants in Destin serving locally caught seafood that’s truly fresh — never frozen — and you can taste the difference. The chef has been on Hell’s Kitchen twice, and you can tell he takes real pride in what he puts on the plate. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the prices were surprisingly fair for the quality you’re getting. If you’re in Destin and want something legit, this place is a hidden gem. “We’ve been here several times during the evening hours. But our first time experience at lunch was a bit disappointing. My food came out but my wife’s calzone came much later. Our waiter was hardly checking on us for refills and never apologized or even tell us the food would come out late. (Plus no bread or their special oil.) I know it was lunch, but my highlight was the bread. I don’t know if we will come for lunch for a while, but we will give it a chance for evenings. I even wrote a note on the receipt and left my phone#. But as yet have I received a call.”

We were seated out on the back porch right in front of the gulf and had a wonderful breeze blowing the whole time, which was great since we were visiting Florida in August. We got seafood and steak. The steak was amazing and tender. The grouper, crab bites and twice baked potatoes were delicious! We will definitely be back!”

“A hidden gem in Destin! A tiny spot with parking in the back. The atmosphere is quaint with maybe 7 tables inside and 4 tables outside. I’d imagine during peak season you’d need a reservation. Out bottle beer and champagne split was not ice cold, but that’s the only thing I’d complain about. I had the gyro platter, the meat was perfectly seasoned and served over a bed of rice. The salad was served on the same platter with a nice balsamic type dressing and plenty of feta cheese crumbles. My husband ordered the Swedish meatballs served on garlic mashed potatoes and the salad on the same platter. He did say some of meatballs were a touch overcooked but over all enjoyed the meal. We will definitely go back to try other dishes.”

“If you’re in Destin and looking for a casual spot with surprisingly great food, the Golf Club Grill is a must-visit. I ordered the hamburger topped with grilled pork belly, and it was absolutely fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and the pork belly added a smoky richness that took it to another level.

The side salad with creamy Italian dressing was fresh and crisp, a perfect lighter balance to the burger. But the real standout might have been the grilled Brussels sprouts with a jam sauce. They were beautifully charred with just the right amount of sweetness from the sauce—seriously addictive.

Everything came out hot, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and they have plenty of televisions throughout the space, making it a great place to catch sporting events while enjoying a really solid meal. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.”

“What I loved: flavors, ambiance, value for what we received. Friendliness of the staff.
Parking can be difficult, they do offer valet.
This was our first visit. Jerry was a fabulous server, all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Jerry asked us uo front if we need a fast or leisurely pace for our dining experience, which I appreciated.
Definitely recommend making a reservation. This is a high end restaurant, do expect a to spend. I did feel we received great value for what we did spend, and it was so delicious. I honestly did not expect to enjoy the food as much as I did.

We visited the Saturday before Valentine's Day. We had a 5 pm reservation. We arrived about 10 minutes early, and were shown straight to our table. It was a half booth with a high back. Very comfortable. Jerry greeted us quickly, and as it was our first visit, explained a bit about the restaurant.
We selected from the 3 for $60 menu. I ordered the soup, French onion, as a 1st course. My husband the steakhouse salad. Portions were perfect and larger than expected. My husband liked his salad, feeling it was a great balance of lettuce to other greens (a common complaint of his at other restaurants). I love French onion soup, and this one was great. A lovely dark broth semi sweet onions, and wonderfully browned cheese.

I ordered the 6oz filet with shrimp as my second course, medium rare, with garlic mashed potatoes as a side. My husband opted for a 16 oz ribeye for an up-chrge, medium. He also had the garlic mp. The steaks are served on 500° plates, which kept them deliciously warm while we ate, I love that. The seasonings were delicious, and the shrimp quite large. Our mashed potatoes were very creamy and tasty. There was quite a bit more mashed potatoes than I was expecting.

Our final course was cheesecake. They offer two flavors on the 3 for $60 menu, so we each ordered one and then split them. They were again a perfect size, served with fresh berries and a drizzle of fruit sauce. I preferred the plain cheesecake flavor, my husband the chocolate. Both were creamy and delicious, and the berries just ripe.

We will definitely visit again, but it cannot be a frequent experience for us based on the price. Again, while I feel it was worth what we paid, it is higher than a frequent experience can be for us.

The food and service were both excellent. My daughter insisted we come back and eat at Thai Smile our last night in town. Most bizarre was the fact that they actually consider the mozzarella or “other cheese” as one of the three toppings??? That’s not NY, might be central FLA, which is fine. As the review started, not bad pizza but floppy especially if you order more than a topping. “Three toppings” intention actually means in ADDITION to the cheese. 12” for $22 is crazy & the gimmick of an 18” for $27 clarifies the gimmick. Order the pizza to be cooked “well done” & hopefully that should help with floppiness without burning. Enough of the pizza dissection. The small bar portion is cozy & half price HH is great! Will be back for HH, not certain for grub.”

“Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had! We sat at the bar and were lucky enough to be taken care of by Ricky and Sheyla, both of whom were so warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. I don’t personally drink, and they didn’t make it awkward or treat it like a hassle at all. Instead, they brought out an ice-cold Heineken 0.0, poured it into a chilled mug, and even added a lime wedge without me asking. It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel included and taken care of. Ricky and Sheyla also gave us amazing food recommendations. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos with charro beans, and let me just say, I’m still thinking about those beans. They were loaded with tender pieces of brisket that added such depth of flavor. The tacos came topped with a fresh mango pineapple salsa that had actual chunks of pineapple and mango, so juicy, sweet, and perfectly balanced with the fish. The queso was also super fresh and flavorful, and they made sure our chips were always topped off. The attention to detail really made the whole experience feel elevated without being pretentious. On top of all that, they took the time to chat with us and even gave us some awesome local recommendations for things to do after dinner. It’s rare to find staff who are not only great at their jobs but also so down-to-earth and genuinely kind. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can, Ricky and Sheyla are a dream team! We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town. An all-around fantastic vibe, incredible service, and delicious food!”

I’m not exaggerating when I tell you this is the best chicken in Florida. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and the flavor is so on point. Our food was fresh and hot. “I just want to say this is by far the BEST Starbucks I’ve ever been to which includes out of state locations as well. I have never had better customer service anywhere (which includes other companies)! The team at this location ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want! Jordan, Andi, Kristin and Sahara did an amazing job at customizing a drink for me after coming from another location due to unfortunate circumstances. Needless to say the other location was out of what I had wanted to order, and suggested something completely different which I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with. I normally come to the Mattie M Kelly Blvd Destin location, and had only went to the other only because it was closer at the time. I will say I won’t be going to any other location even if I have to drive. It’s well worth it. You will never be disappointed if you come here! They will always make sure you get what you want and treat you well. Very friendly staff, no matter which shift and very clean store! I can’t say enough good things about the Mattie M Kelly Blvd Starbucks! If I could give it 10 Stars I would! I appreciate the team and look forward to continuing to come! “The Back Porch did not disappoint one bit. We loved the atmosphere. We were seated out on the back porch right in front of the gulf and had a wonderful breeze blowing the whole time, which was great since we were visiting Florida in August. We got seafood and steak. The steak was amazing and tender. The grouper, crab bites and twice baked potatoes were delicious! We will definitely be back!”

“We recently had the pleasure of enjoying the food for an event catered by Artistic Catering. The food was just amazing! Our favorite was the shrimp & grits, but everything absolutely fantastic. Even the tablescape & serving platters looked awesome. The staff was knowledgeable, professional while the owners, Tommy & Kylie were extremely hospitable & friendly. “We stayed in Destin for a week and stumbled upon this place. It’s a little rough from the outside - looks like it’s in a mobile home trailer - but don’t let that fool you. The food and service were both excellent. My daughter insisted we come back and eat at Thai Smile our last night in town. We are vegetarians and they were very polite, informative and accommodating, and remembered us when we came back. Highly recommend.”

“We had beyond amazing experience at the emerald coast location. We sat outside with our two little kids. Our server walked out (Chante) and right away started to engage with the kids and made them smile and feel so welcome. As a parent it was just heartfelt and amazing to have someone so kind to the kids. It made our night the kindness that was shown. If we are ever back in Destin we will be going back.”

“We visited On the Rocks last night for the Grave Affair murder mystery dinner and had the best time! The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made our experience even better. The entertainment and ambiance were fab and really added to our Halloween night out. We were served finger foods for “dinner,” which were tasty but not very filling. I just wish we had known in advance so we could have had a proper meal beforehand. Overall, I highly recommend this venue, and we will definitely be back!”
