“I first had the pleasure of dining here nearly two years ago, and it instantly became one of my favorite restaurants. From the warm atmosphere to the unforgettable flavors, everything about the experience was exceptional. The plate of pasta I had on that first visit was so memorable, it’s still the background on my phone — and I’ve made multiple trips to Miami just to come back and enjoy it again. The quality has never wavered. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.“

“My two sisters and I went in on a Thursday at 6:15 with no reservations. We were warmly welcomed at the host stand and told they could seat us at the bar. We asked the host who seated us what his favorite dishes are and he recommended the creamy polenta appetizer and the pork chop. We were then greeted at the bar by Maria who was friendly and extremely helpful. She recommended a few wines and dishes and we settled on the polenta appetizer, a salad to share then we shared the spaghetti pomodoro, the mushroom pasta and the pork chop. Everything was truly delicious and we would definitely return.“

“We sat outside for supper, it was a beautiful evening in Miami! We shared the Aristotele salad and the Capricciosa pizza, SO DELICIOUS. Our server was Chantale, she was helpful, knowledgeable and had a good personality. We may come back for lunch tomorrow before we sail away!“

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

“An absolutely perfect dining experience at Donatella Miami Beach last night. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you stepped into a boutique restaurant somewhere in Italy.

We started with the fresh focaccia and grilled artichokes, both outstanding. You can immediately tell everything is made with care and intention. The homemade pasta completely lived up to the hype. I had the lobster linguine which was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, rich but balanced, and easily one of the best pasta dishes I have had. We also had the bucatini with black truffles which was just next level.

The wine pairings were spot on all night and the service was exactly what you hope for at a place like this. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of what they are serving. The ambiance hits that perfect balance of upscale and comfortable.

If you appreciate great food, great wine, and a true hospitality experience, Donatella is a must. We will absolutely be back next time we are in Miami Beach. 🍝🍷🇮🇹🔥“

“Ordered a prosciutto & burrata pizza with a spaghetti carbonara. The pizza was very good, very well made. Unfortunately the spaghetti carbonara was not as good. The sauce was not carbonara sauce. It heavily needed salt as well. They didn't have a manager on duty to issue a refund either, which is unfortunate. As a restaurant, you should always have a manager on duty or allow your employees to issue refunds.“

“Service is top notch , very friendly and attentive servers (both bar and dining room). My servers name is Antonella, and bartender’s name is Marco, both of them took really good care of me.

I ordered truffle mushroom pappardelle. I like the pasta noodle, texture and everything was good. The dish tasted good but towards the end it tasted a bit dry. If it was just 0.5 creamier I would’ve been happier. Again I am no Italian, not sure if this is how it supposed to taste.“

We started with jumbo Mojitos and they come with a piece of sugar cane in them & lots of fresh mint. Then we shared the Cuban Combo(for 2) as an appetizer & shared the Cuban Sampler for dinner. More than enough Everything was delicious and we got to try and sampling of various authentic Cuban cuisine. Neither of us are fans of the black beans, so they substituted a nice salad instead. Candidly, I am not a big drinker or scene guy, so my feedback is based mostly on how we were treated and the vibes. The NYC lounge was filling quickly on a busy Thursday, but we decided to wing it without a reservation. A friendly server told us we could sit on the central couches, which we gladly accepted. Shortly thereafter, the manager, Daniele Balsano, approached us calmly and apologetically, regretting that the server was unaware of a previous reservation. In short order, he separated a four-top along the street-facing windows to be sure we had a place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. No belittling or sense of entitlement, just prompt, polite, and professional hospitality that manifested results versus excuses. Daniele was attentive throughout with his charming accent, dapper appearance, and warm demeanor. Furthermore, Daniele stopped us on the way out to personally apologize for the seating mishap, and even gave us his business card with his personal phone number, insisting that we reach out next time we wanted to visit. I cannot speak to the libations, but we ended up befriending the couple next to us and had a wonderful conversation. I can speak to the tasty snack trio they bring for all guests, which is a nice tip of the old New York hat to Bemelmans across the street. So, all things considered, while the aesthetic and prices are on par for similar places, the value is readily apparent because you feel welcomed and appreciated by way of the top-notch service.
