“Can't beat a local bread shop that makes delicious baked goods at unbeatable prices. Ordering is easy online and pick up is quick and efficient. Parking is available in a parking lot behind/adjacent to the building. All of the breads and baked goods are larger than you'd expect. The ciabatta is over a foot long and the slice of potato focaccia was the entire length of the bakery box (started eating before I remembered to snap a photo 😅).“

“Nanding's is a local institution. People have been coming to their stores since they were kids, particularly for their Spanish Rolls.

This is not the original location, but it's definitely a welcome addition to their list of locations since the other ones are on the other side of the island. This one is located next-door to Zippy's Kapahulu. There are a few parking stalls on the side of the building along with ample street parking if the stalls are full.

As I alluded to, my go to order is a couple dozen of the Spanish rolls. Every other time I get there, I have to wait around 5 to 10 minutes for the rolls, but I am not at all upset by this because it means that they're coming to me fresh and hot out of the oven.

Another thing to know is that everything here is extremely affordable . I can't remember a time that I walked out of here spending more than $20.

Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.“

“Still the best custard pie that I’ve ever tasted. It’s sweeter and the texture is like flan. It came right out the oven so it was soooo warm.

Staff are friendly and fast. Paid parking in the back on Ala Moana Blvd. It’s better to phone order because they do sell out.“

“Hot buttery sweet Spanish Rolls, need I say more! You can never just eat one and you need to eat them hot. They give them to you freshly made so before you start the car and drive I would suggest you get a napkin and grub down.

They have other pastries and service is quick just parking is very limited I think I saw 4 spots only.“

“I stumbled upon this spot after a hefty meal at Totoya next door, and it turned out to be a great little find. I’m very picky when it comes to desserts, but the lemon bar here? Easily one of the best I’ve had. Not overly sweet (which is huge for me) and it would've paired perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.

They also had a pretty wide selection of scones. I went with the peach, but honestly, I couldn't detect much peach, so I’d probably skip those next time.

“Edible has hands down my yummiest chocolate chip cookie in Hawaii. The mini cookies are my favorite cookies anywhere.

Thin, delicate, crispy buttery sweet caramelized on the outside n chewy perfection on the inside.

Yummy. I get 6 every time and sit in my car with milk and eat all pieces. I don’t actually eat cookies much. But I love and can’t resist the minis.“

“I treated myself on my birthday and bought their ulu banana bread and a lemon poppyseed bread that came with a blueberry compote. Everything was absolutely delicious, nicely packaged and the woman (Maile?) who helped me was very pleasant. The baked goods are pricey and I doubt I would spend that much money every week, but they use quality ingredients that are themselves expensive. I highly recommend trying the products from this bakery.“

“They make the best tea cookies that I’ve tried so far on Oahu (if you have a recommendation of a better place I would love to know). The workers here are fast and with not so many different items for sale (tea cookies, almond cookies, rice cakes) it doesn’t take long and am usually done and out with the goods in no time.“

I was extremely stressed this past week trying to figure out party plans for my niece’s 1st birthday knowing it would all fall on my aging parents and myself to get everything done and paid for. It turned out to be way better than I and my family could have hoped for! It was absolutely beautiful and although it was a smaller cake, I would have definitely paid more for it considering the amount of detail they put into it in the time frame given! “Thank you to Jo, Chelsey, and Kaylee for helping me both times I had to come in today.

The first time for my online order grabbing cakes for my girlfriend’s birthday, and the second time being when I had to grab another puppy cake because I managed to drop the first one I bought and ruined it a few hours before a photoshoot I had planned for the two of us.

Them not having a paper bag to put the cakes in on pickup bummed me out thinking about how it could have been prevented, but I as well could have had the foresight to bring one myself.

Either way, they were super kind and understanding and got me another one they had in stock and even tried to comp it for me as a consolation for the incident.

I paid for the cake either way because it isn’t their fault it happened but that type of kindness and thoughtfulness goes a long way in today’s society.

“OMG! The Hauoli Pastry Poi Mochisada is DA BOMB! Light & airy, slightly crispy outside. If I had known it was going to be this good, I would have bought 2 dozen. If you only buying for yourself, MAYBE 6 is enough, but I'm a big boy so a dozen would have been perfect for me. We discovered them at the Night Market at the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club and I'm so glad we did. If I ever see them elsewhere, I'm definitely buying again. “It’s great to be back at Zippy’s again after being away from Hawaii for so long. This restaurant is clean, well-maintained and staffed with friendly servers. The hot saimin was wonderful, a reminder of those carefree days long ago. My companions loved their Korean chicken chili, zip pac deluxe and beef stew. After dining out at fancy eateries everyday during this visit, it’s refreshing to return to simple, unpretentious comfort food.“
