After a long day at the beach, my family was starving and we were lucky to find L&L Hawaiian Barbecue just 10 minutes away. At first, it looked like it might be closed—but then I spotted the OPEN sign glowing, so I turned the car around—and I’m so glad I did!

The food was excellent, full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough to save some for later. We ordered the Seafood Combo and the Rib Combo (I think that’s what it was called), and both were spot-on. Total comfort food after a day in the sun!

The cashier/waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure we were well taken care of with that warm aloha spirit. It really made the experience even better.

They also serve Loco Moco and breakfast all day, which we’ll definitely be back to try next time.

If you’re in the area and craving some tasty, filling local-style eats, don’t pass this place up—it might just be the highlight of your meal plans!“

Broccoli, Tofu, Sicilian Chicken Pasta, Lemongrass Tofu, Strawberry Smoothie, Avocado/Banana Smoothie. Everything was flavorful, walked away full. The parking lot is small, however there is parking options near by.“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

The service, the staff and atmosphere there is really nice and kid friendly! After we payed our meal. The host/server gave my son a free toy. “Sushi Sho is truly one of my favorite omakase experiences anywhere in the world. I’ve had sushi in Japan, Korea, and across the U.S., and this place still stands out as one of the very best. I’ve already visited four times in the past six months.

Reservations are very difficult to get because the full experience is at the chef’s counter, and there are only a limited number of seats. But once you sit down and start the meal, you immediately understand why it’s so sought after.

The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and every piece is prepared with incredible care and precision. Each visit has been memorable and honestly a little emotional in the best way. My personal favorite is the ankimo, which is absolutely outstanding.

I loved it so much that I ended up bringing my whole family here as well. If you appreciate true omakase, this place is something special and absolutely worth the effort to reserve.“
