“I have pool league there on Tuesdays, great place! Big space and staff is super friendly. Amber the bartender is super nice and funny and Alaina is a great manager, very accommodating. Maybe she'll convince you into a $3 Mystery shot like me lol... Another plus is the food, especially the wings and burgers!! Concert/ band venue ambiance is also a great vibe in their back room on the weekends check it out!“

“One of the best meals I've had in Chicago in a long time. Our server Marco was exceptional - we were celebrating a birthday and he made our experience SO special with complimentary dessert and wine! “4-5-24 My wife and I enjoy eating and this place with a variety of choices to choose from is a great place. We were still full but we had to try something. I got the prawns from Avlì. My wife got the some Korean fried chicken from Urban Belly. The Prawns were cooked perfectly and those strings wrap around it gives it a crunch when you bite into it. The spicy mayo sauce goes good with it. The Korean fried chicken was perfectly fried which gives it a really nice crunch to it, yet the inside is nice and soft. The flavor that coats the chicken and tteokbokki is really tasty. They also have bars inside and busser to clean the area when done eating so no need to put the trays away. Overall, I would come back try other places. Parking could be hard to find. We parked up by Guinness for free and walked down, that’s if you can find parking.“

Despite not being a smoker, there was nostalgia around enjoying a drink in the smokey Cheers inspired ambience. A bartender even put on Svengoolie which just wrapped it all together. “It was cool. Met some friends on St. Paddy's Day for a happy hour drink. My beer was $6, and her ranch water was $9 (not sure what the happy hour special was), but it was a one and done with no issues. It's super dark inside even on a bright day, so if you are a day drinker, this might be your vibe. Not so much for me.“

“Our server Santana was great, we were there for brunch and we were looking forward to some hot coffee (which they do not serve), but Santana made us some hot coffee even though it was not on the menu to welcome us. “The hits at nettare were fantastic but the misses were also pretty bad. we did the tasting menu with the drink pairing and I would say it was very worth the price. it was a lot of food and they were incredibly generous with the alcohol. my favorites by far were the skate wing and the burnt ends. our server was very friendly and it was cool that all the alcohol came from Michigan. I thought the interior was really nice but some of my friends think it's too sterile.“

I had the salmon mondelli and my boyfriend had the pasta alla vodka, with grilled calamari as an appetizer. All of it was delicious!! “A Chicago institution. If you don't like Maria's then you probably don't like Chicago. That's fine, but why u here? Maria's is a great place to chill with a cold one. They don't have a huge tap list,but they do have a nicely curated mix of local brews. They also have old standbys like Old Style and PBR. Even on a Sunday afternoon they had good music playing. “I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“

“Grew up right down the block from this building and it amazes me how much this restaurant has impacted the neighborhood. I adore Mott st for many reasons but the food is definitely a major factor. Mott st is an Asian American restaurant that pairs eastern cooking techniques with Chicago ingredients to create umami laden flavors. Some of my top dishes that I never think twice about is definitely the Mott burger, stuffed cabbage, Korean mussels hot pot, everything wings and mango sticky rice!The burger is to die for! From the textures to the flavors is absolutely insane. Love getting the wings because they pair them with tzatziki instead of ranch which is brilliant. Mussels hot pot truly hits home and pairing it with the garlic fried rice or shrimp noodles is a bonus. I’ve also paired the mussels before with the stuffed cabbage which also blew my mind.Stuffed cabbage on its own is absolutely bananas. The pan seared kimchi and braised pork shoulder complements the kimchi broth so well yet emphasizes the crispy rice. Definitely a dish I will never get tired of.Somehow I always manage to devour 5-8 dishes and still have room for dessert. We decided to order all 3 desserts since they never disappoint. I was so happy when I saw that they brought back the mango sticky rice!!! I swear by this dessert, reminds me of my childhood it’s so nostalgic and tasty. Chocolate Bundt cake with pickled kumquats was delicious and warm ricotta donuts were so good with a berry jam dip.Mott st is a restaurant I never miss to mention to my friends. “Loved it!! I came across the gem from a Google search of "bars in Chicago", & based on reviews, I chose this one. All the good reviews are true! Walking in, you're immediately thrown back into time, giving you "speakeasy" vibes. The ambiance is what really sets the mood here.. dark, with intimate red lighting. The songs playing were so smooth & easy to vibe to.? Tables are first come, first serve, & there are 2 bars inside to serve each side of the restaurant. They sell appetizers, but as I didn't see anyone ordering food, I didn't either. Our waitress was attentive, & quick to bring our drinks.. which were AMAZING ?????? There was a constant influx of patrons, of all races and ages, which showed me this is a popular bar with the locals too. There was also a photo booth inside, which I thought added the cutest touch! “I go here 2-3 times a week to sing, drink and mingle with every customer. Everyone talks to you and the staff is the greatest line up anywhere. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. “I had the corn cakes with scrambled eggs and a side of crispy french toast. The corn cakes were soft and moist like good buttermilk pancakes and had sweet corn and peppers in the batter. The savory sauce on the side was a great complement. The crispy french toast was absolute perfection. Soft and almost gooey in the center but the frosted flake coating gave it an incredible crunch. What an incredible mouth feel! In the future I'll go out of my way to get this again. My server was friendly and checked back regularly to see if I needed a coffee refill or anything else.Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options and even vegan sausage patties. “Came in last night with a friend and we were so impressed at how nice it was. I expected more of a pub but it was a cute date spot. I liked the wrap around bar seating where you can sit on the bartender’s side. Good cocktails and good service. I really liked their menu of snacks but wish there was bread instead of crackers. They have a good selection of sherry but something sweet like chocolate to pair it with could be a nice addition to the menu. “North Riverside's Catie's is a fairly tranquil gaming establishment. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The staff members and other customers have always made me feel at home. I also had the mango cheesecake, and I can still remember how perfect the cheesecake was. It was a perfect amount of cheesecake flavor to mango flavor. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and it was cooked Just how I like it. I will definitely order from here again. The only thing I didn't like was that my pizza wasn't sealed in any type of way to prevent it from being tampered with while it was being delivered. We were singing, dancing and having a great time until the last band finished up around 11:30. The service is superb.
