“We recently ordered from the website instead of DoorDash, and our order was 40 minutes late. Employees tried to say that the food was already delivered, but then claimed the delivery guy had too many orders. The language barrier was an issue. I’d recommend using DoorDash or some app in order for this restaurant to have accountability. I almost cancelled the order by the time the food was delivered.Food is always fresh and tastes great. But service is an issue.Vegetarian options: Veggie hot pot is really good, has a good variety of vegetables.“
“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“
“Have had takeout twice now. Once during the week and once on a Friday. Both times the food was ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes, the food was HOT, and the portions were very generous. The Kung Pao Shrimp and Orange Chicken were excellent. I also ordered the Hawaiian Shrimp. They don’t skimp on the Shrimp. You get a good amount of good sized shrimp. We’ll keep coming back to Shang, for sure.“
“Ever since my go to restaurant Hong Min closed, I have been searching for a new Chinese restaurant. I live 4 minutes away and my girlfriends wanted to try this new restaurant Harmony in Palos Heights. They both ordered Pina coladas and they said it's pricey but pretty delicious. My dirty martini is gross. Dirty martini was my choice of drink so I've had quite a few and this is one that normally tells you they don't know what they're doing. It's just straight up vodka. No vermouth and no brine. Nothing but vodka with ice.Service was pleasant. Very friendly and the place was pretty big. Love how spacious the booths are which was very comfortable.Pot stickers was big and doughy and I had the Mongolian beef and it was delicious but it is spicy. I can eat spice and this was right up my alley. Chicken fried rice was also pretty good. Love how big the portions are and not skimpy at all.If my dirty martini was good, I probably would have given them 5 stars. It is my fault for ordering a dirty at a Chinese restaurant but with a liquor license, I expect that's doable. They could have simply say, please order from the menu or wine. We don't do martinis. Still a decent 4 stars. Will definitely be back for other dishes maybe no alcohol for me.“
“I ordered shrimp lo mein and crab rangoons. The shrimp lo mein was so good, the best noodles I've had in any Chinese restaurant other than Chinatown. The portions were huge I didn't expect it but no complains, the shrimp was great and they didn't skimp. The crab rangoons were alright they had a really strong cheese taste but other than that they were good.“
“Really, really, really great Chinese food! Everything is made fresh and made at order..Seen how everything is made with real and fresh ingredients is amazing! Honestly, my whole family talked how is better than other restaurant we gone around town.Check out the pics for your self and see how delicious it looks! A must try in Chicago Lawn AreaOwners are nice..You won’t regret it!“
“I am very picky about my Chinese Food.. I would travel to Oak Park from Chicago South side for food, since trying the food here… I must say the food is excellent, clean energy and nice space… staff nice and food is always fresh…Vegetarian options: Everything nice“
“Han 202 is a little known secret in Bridgeport. Truly a gem worth visiting if you are looking for a culinary experience featuring dishes packed with flavor, creativity, and skill. We've been frequenting this family owned and operated restaurant since it opened and have always had a memorable experience. The wine listoffers a variety of price points to fit any budget, all high quality, and some beautiful bottles rarely seen on a list. The food and the owners are the star of the show. From the Foie gras terrine with marmalade, shanghai dumpling, soft shell crab with sweet & sour chilli sauce to the the rack of lamb with Bonito plum sauce and the duck breat with szechuansauce..the pictures can't truly capture what you'll enjoy..just go there! You won't regret it.Parking: Plenty of street parking available.“
“I swear, this place should be making a killing off of their teas alone. The most flavorful teas I've had compared to most other boba places I've been. I got a Thai milk tea from a donut place, then came straight here when I tasted that flavorless milk tea because I knew they wouldn't disappoint. I've had at least half of their teas at this point, and none have missed. The food is just a huge bonus. Firstly, I'm so glad that they have kimchi; it's really good! Secondly, I know egg drop soup is usually on the more subtle side, but this was the most appetizing egg drop soup I've ever had (then again, I've been to no Michelin Star restaurants). Third, it's a clean place and the staff is friendly! Fourth, and most importantly for me, none of their seafood dishes so far have had that "may or may have expired" taste. The shrimp and scallops are always fresh tasting! I don't know what I'd do if this place closed for some reason.“
“Would give a 5, but for some reason you need to ask for extra ingredients to make the food the way it was made in the past. For example, we have to order extra bean sprouts, eggs, and onions for the shrimp fried rice because if you don't, they are barely any in there. But when it's made with extra, it's the best around. While waiting in there on a busy day I noticed some people ask for no green onions or no beans sprouts so I think you would even out if they just added what should be added to normal orders. I'd eat it around 2 times more a week.“
“Wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Tried it on a recommendation from a family member. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted warmly as we entered. My wife and I ordered egg rolls, fried rice, and egg foo young just to keep it basic. We both rated each item as being excellent and won't hesitate to expand ordering other items from the menu. They also have lunch specials that we will be trying in the future.“
“Even though the new restaurant is under new management. The deliciousness of the food is still exceptional! I do highly recommend the Egg Rolls! Everything off the menu is to die for! Can’t compare the quality of the food to any other! Love the taste and everything about this place!“
“Amazing and delicious food! It doesn’t take very long to bring the dishes out and we found all the ones we tried were so tasty (highly recommend the cumin beef). As other reviews mention, the service is lacking once they give you the food, but considering the taste and the affordable price/portions, we will definitely be back!“
“Finally had a chance to visit the new location…new for us and probably a yr old for most lolThey used to be in this small space where I believe had only 10 tables including two big tables…there always 2hrs wait so u need to be here before 530pm to get a table LOL even carry out is an hour or two wait….(weekends)Now with a bigger space, much better! I think there like 8 smaller tables and 4 big table + two rooms for private dining…The food is probably one of the best in Chicago if not the best! Forget MH, its not for Chinese ppl lol they are expensive for below average food and small portion lolThis place, the price is reasonable and OK portion and the food are very yummy! We have two adult here and two kids under 7. We ordered our usual….two lobster w/ rice, stir fried clams, a veggie dish, fried pork, a noodles dish, three dessert and a chinese medicine drink….Vegetarian options: Only a few vegetarian optionsParking: It's china town!! Very difficult to find parking especially there is no Lot lolKid-friendliness: Kids love the dessert but no kid menuWheelchair accessibility: Front door not automatic“
“As other reviewers have mentioned, this mom & pop shop really does feel like home cooked food. It was not greasy like other Chinese places & food was well seasoned. We got the dinner for two which came with tons of fried apps like shrimp, shrimp roll, egg roll & crab Rangoon w fried rice, cashew chicken & Mongolian beef (my favorite). I also got wonton soup (which was delish), Thai tea & a side of white rice. I like that they have both Chinese (including Cantonese) & Thai dishes. Service was quick & efficient & the place was very comfortable & homey. The owners said the place has been open 19 years. Glad we finally checked it out as it’s some of the best Chinese food we’ve had near our area and very affordable! Will definitely return.“
“The food at Uncle Zhangs is north Chinese style of cooking. They have a wide variety. Try the pancakes, they are flatbreads stuffed with meats and vegetables. Very delicious. It will take many visits to sample the extensive menu. It's BYOB, so bring some beer or “
“One of the top Chinese restaurants in Chicago!Recommend the orange chicken. Sauce tastes homemade and chicken is high quality and perfectly fried. Also recommend the Chef Korean Special. Heart vegetables, meat and kimchi in a perfectly spicy and tangy sauce.“
“Runa Izakaya: Fresh Fish, Friendly Staff, and Fast ServiceRuna Izakaya is a hidden gem for anyone looking for delicious Japanese food at a great price. The service is incredibly fast, which is perfect for a weeknight dinner. But the real star of the show is the sashimi. The fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful - some of the best I've had in the area. While I typically stick to sashimi, I couldn't resist trying the White Sox roll (had to, with that name!). It was fantastic - a great balance of flavors and textures. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the overall enjoyable experience.Overall, Runa Izakaya is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for fresh, delicious Japanese food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!“
“Don't let the look Turn you away. The food inside is GOOD. The lunch special has gone down in size but it is plenty of food and I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with shrimp fried rice but I wasn't disappointed. This Very small place with no bathroom no seating area at the moment. Had a great beef and broccoli the fried rice wasn't the best but the size of the chicken inside is safe for children. The gravy is a little thick which I love and the rice was better with the gravy. Didnt come with a pop ? but its not advertised to so yay for the gas station across the street. Staff is friendly and I'm sure if I had questions she would have been knowledgeable and nice. Friendly when I had requested on no onions. Big egg roll delicious. Not price gouging. Order under $15 has a 50cent card fee. I was Happy to pay the fee.“
“It’s a bit outside of Chicago’s actual Chinatown, but it’s less crowded in this area so it’s not as busy, which is nice because it’s quieter. Parking… you can find it on the street and it’s free on the street on Sundays. Most of the dishes are really decently priced and the servings are good enough. The salt and pepper tofu was slightly battered and very good at $12, the vegetable fried rice $10 was not too oily, but had enough vegetables, including broccoli and it wasn’t too salty, the vegetables w garlic sauce was not so great because the garlic sauce was a little bit too thick with Cornstarch so it seemed a little gelatinous and it was a bit spicy. Overall, a really good deal for your budget. They are no for their dumplings and they are really good.“
“Maya was absolutely the BEST waitress I have ever met at any restaurant!! She was friendly, sweet, always came to check on us in a timely manner, just the best experience I have had in a very long time at a restaurant!! She was genuine and so kind when it came to anything we asked for. Very quick, it was a pleasure meeting her and we definitely will be back soon!!! I wish I could give her 10 ⭐️’s!!“
“We have gone her so many times. This place never disappoints us. The ladies are super nice. Food is served fast. They also pack the left overs for you. They also have vegetarian options. They have these super delicious almond cookies they give along with the fortune cookies.Thr decorations inside are unique and give a nice cozy look.Occasionally there are free music shows. One night there was Rod Stewart. We didn’t know about him, but we checked later. He is a celebrity of sorts.“
“I'm completely addicted to this place. So far it's been the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Chicago. The sweet and sour chicken is wonderful. Most of the time the chicken balls are nice and crispy. The lo mein is also quite good. My favorite is their general tsos. It's just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The only negative is that they aren't open on Mondays.“
“We have ordered some vegetable soup and shrimp, fried rice, and it was so delicious one more thing. I love about this place. I was a little under the weather. They came out with a pot of tea like I was so in love, and the teeth, taste fresh, and I give this restaurant a five star. And the customer service was very “
“Had a catering order for Christmas day. Jennie was more than nice to explain the different party size trays and options available. She made sure that the food was hot and ready when I got there. Everyone said the food was some of the best they had. Will be back ?“
“I commute 25 minutes across town to this location. I haven't found a Chinese returante in chicago that meets or exceeds my taste buds as they do. 8 years and two issues that were easily corrected after informing them. Try the chicken wings, you'll love them. Mongolian Beef is to die for, coupled with a pineapple smoothie to wash it down.“
“N-Joy on 35th Street in Cicero is my go to for Chinese food when I'm in the Chicago area Southside!Rated over 4 stars & you can taste it in their food... My first time ever trying Beef Kimchi, what can I say, ate it all & really liked it... Speaking of trying, I tried their *Chicken Wings* - there goes my diet - very good & very crispy as I like & tender!!I have the utmost confidence & eager to try new dishes from now on... Really like all my go to order be it Egg Rolls, Shrimp Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons & Egg Foo Young to name a few... My GF likes the Beef Kow & her daughter likes their Wonton Soup... I've been slowly changing a few of my food choices over the past few years cutting down & or out my unhealthy foods for better & healthier, more Antioxidant rich foods... It's actually real easy to do... Think I'll be getting a extra large soup from now on with my take outs... My now new motto - Invest in Yourself! Can't wait to try all the soups as I always look at the choices!Cash or credit, their menu has coupons for free items on how much you spend which I like...Also any changes or additions they will make however you like, sometimes at a small fee...I only had take out so I can't give 5 stars, but definitely 4.5!!Thanks N-Joy & see you soon!“

“Best Chinese food in the area, great customer service, reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: They have alot of vegetarian and vegan options.Parking: It's in A small strip mall sometimes on weekend during dinner rush it can be hard to find parking but we park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair accessible.“
“Due to the global CORONAVIRUS outbreak pandemic. Normal FM/SD enforced no indoor seating. PLEASE walk - in & deliver is an option to enjoy lunch specials #606 chicken broccoli comes with 1 can of Coke 1 vegetarian egg roll 1 fortune cookie $7.29! All made fresh & very delicious!“
“Hidden gem. Best shrimp egg roll I ever had. Cashier was helpful and got my order so fast. Bathroom clean but slightly dated, but that's not what you go to a restaurant for. Food was great! I'm telling my Facebook family to come here, especially if they get off the train at Berwyn. Not a lot of parking available.“
“I’ve been to this location many times for lunch and dinner, mostly pick up. The food here is quality is very good, the lunch menu is a great deal as seen on photo, the portion is great. Compliments to the Chef and all of the hard working staff! I recommend getting the jalapeño fried rice ! It is amazing!Parking: Parking lot on side of building“
“This place never fails to disappoint when I'm in the mood for some good Chinese food. The portions are fair for the price, and I've never had a complaint except that it's sometimes hard to order due to the limited understanding of English the owners have. They also always are very fast on delivery. Overall just a great hole in the wall Chinese place.“
“I love this place, DO NOT GO TO MOES, Li's uses a variety of vegetables in their food where as MOES does not use anything but celery. So if you want to get your moneys worth and get good Chinese food with amazing portion sizes go here! The protein is always cooked properly, they do not use a whole bottle of soy on their rice like most places which is good, they seem to use low sodium and little to non MSG. SO HERE!“
“I had the chicken egg foo young with shrimp fried rice and egg roll, and the best gravy was served on the side. Also had a fabulous dragon roll and even ate the orchid!Parking: Parking is right in front, but it's tight since it's a very popular spot. If you come during popular times, you may be parking on the street.“
“While in training looking for a good lunch spot I tried China Lamp. The food was amazing! The portions were hardy the goods were cooked well and it was easy to access. Be warned you have to feed the meter and China Lamps moved somewhat slow and No indoor dining only carry-out. However, the food was well worth the wait.“
“In my opinion this place was better than Chinatown! We had 4 couples during our excursion and sat at a big round table with a lazy Susan in the middle. It was great to order a bunch of different things and share them with each other! We will definitely be back! The service was fun and friendly.“
“I thought it was very tasty. The pick up order only took 15 minutes even on a busy night during dinner time. The chicken fried rice, beef lo mein, and salmon roll were delicious. Tasted just as good the next day for leftovers. 我喜欢牛肉面和鸡肉炒饭!谢谢!“
“They are only doing carry out right now due to Covid. I ordered the orange chicken lunch special, which came with vegetable fried rice and two crab rangoon's for around $9 with tax. The crab rangoon was mostly just dough, there was hardly any filing at all. I asked for light sauce and under my chicken was a swimming pool of sauce. I honestly just didn't care for the flavor of the chicken or the sauce. It was just ok to me. I've had better elsewhere. The rice was good.“
“I typically order Chinese food from Wing Wah because it is really good. This is my go to place for Chinese take out food. The food is very tasty, large portions and fair price.Highly recommend this place.Parking: Parking is not an issue here. It shares a sizeable parking lot with some other restaurants but I have never had any problems parking.“
“I placed an order for chicken with cashews. I was thrown off a bit. I guess I expected breaded chicken. However, it was ok. But the star of the show was the beef-fried rice! It has been YEARS since I've tasted beef fried rice with so much flavor! Although this was my first time getting food from this restaurant. It was good food, great customer service, and reasonable prices. I will be back to order again.“
“This place is an excellent place to spend your money and eat good food. It is operated by a very hard-working and extremely polite Chinese gentleman named Jason Hoo, the nephew of the original owner who retired a few years ago. In addition, he's the kindest human being in the world ? . Why? Because he always gives his regular customers a soda or some fortune cookies ?. God bless Jason, who loves ❤️ all races, even the children.Parking: ♿️ for wheelchair is available. Also, parking for motorcycles ?, scooters, and trucks ?.Kid-friendliness: Jason and his staff loves ❤️ children.“
“This is the best place for Chinese food! They give you such huge portions and for the price you can’t beat it! The food is always extremely hot and you can tell they make it all fresh! Me and my family have been going here for awhile now and never had a complaint! I highly recommend this restaurant!“
