“Great experience from the moment you walk on the door. The staff is very welcoming. The bar is a great place to start or even enjoy a meal. The main dinning area is expansive which can add a bit of noise but didn't hold back our conversation.
The food menu is delightful and offers enough choice. The starters are shareable and the bread is fantastic. Personal I had the American Wagyu and mushrooms - classic and outstanding.
Great beverage and the wine list.
Definitely a South Loop gem!“

“I've been lucky enough to eat at many Michelin-starred and fine dining restaurants over the last 10 years. Schwa is now my favorite of them all. If Michelin stars are awarded on food and food alone, this should be a 3 star. It's probably the most eclectic and unique menus I've seen. The music is loud and fun which is a welcome change from other fine dining spots. The only thing that feels luxury about Schwa is the food--that's a good thing in my opinion. Thanks to the staff for a fun and memorable anniversary dinner for me and my wife!“

The customer service was excellent. We finally got to our beautiful room with spectacular views and were very happy but the kids stuff that we requested wasn’t there. “Had a great experience here twice while in Chicago for the National Restaurant Show. Once for brunch and once for dinner !! Let's start with brunch.. It was out of this world, staff was friendly and attentive, the hazy ipa was crisp and ice cold, then the tour of the menu kicked off and I was In foodie heaven! I warned the bar tenders I would need some Boxes as I was about to do a dining tour through the menu.. the anchovy toast was #insanegood, the pimento cheese eclair was out of this world, the oysters were fresh, the Benedict was crazy with boudin noir blood sausage crab hollandaise sauce on eclair style muffin! The French omelet with caviar was crazy good it was floating in an amazing sauce and the eggs were perfectly cooked and the caviar was the perfect garnish , the asparagus with poached egg with the sauces it was hanging out in were top notch .. The loyalist burger was fire and I am hard to please on burgers.. the details on everything were impressive all in a casual spot downstairs from the Michelin level concept the chef has !! To finish off the meal one of the best things I have ever had was the pistachio eclair !! WOW WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! Came Back a few days later for dinner service and did the same thing started out ordering a stack of boxes so I could work my way thru the dinner menu !! The Spence farm egg with caviar app was amazing !! The French onion eclair was another genius chef creation with an eclair, the cod quenelles, the beef Tartare, and endive salad were on point in all the ways .. then came the mains .. ordered the ocean trout and the gnocchi dish as a side kick .. both of those were some of the best dishes I have had .. the skin was so crispy on the trout but not burnt like how did you get this so perfect .. secretes of the kitchen is how .. the preparation and plate up with the trout was nothing short of a perfect pairing and the gnocchi made another side kick but could have been an amazing entree .. then to finish it off the orange 🍊 glazed brioche dessert that was flambéd table side was the perfect ending to a 5 Stars all around memorable Dining experience !! When in Chicago this chef and team is a must try! I will for sure visit their Michelin level experience as this was Michelin level In A causal environment!!“

“Dining at 3 Arts Club Cafe feels less like a typical restaurant visit and more like a whole experience — imagine brunching or having dinner inside a beautiful historic building with soaring glass ceilings, a central fountain, lush greenery, and chandeliers that make every table feel special. It’s honestly one of the most visually stunning places to eat in the city, perfect for celebrations, date nights, or just soaking up a memorable atmosphere.

The menu leans into elevated American fare with a focus on fresh, thoughtful dishes that hit the mark without feeling pretentious. Favorites here include the lobster roll, the well-executed RH Burger, and vibrant salads like grilled shrimp or kale Caesar — plus plenty of shareable starters like burrata with prosciutto. The quality is solid and consistent, and the dishes are as tasty as they are photogenic.

Drinks are worth mentioning too: there’s a nice selection of wines (including some standout options from the café’s own wine vault), spritz cocktails, and drinks that pair beautifully with the light, airy setting.

Service generally feels polished and attentive, even when the café is bustling — which it often is, especially on weekend brunch or dinners. Weekday lunches or early dinners tend to be calmer if you want a slightly quieter vibe.

The space itself — part café, part wine bar, part social destination — really sets it apart. The airy courtyard with olive trees and natural light makes you want to linger long after your last bite, and you can even explore the store and rooftop garden before or after your meal, which adds a fun twist to the visit.

Overall, 3 Arts Club Café is one of those Chicago dining experiences that feels special without being unapproachable — a great pick if you’re looking for great food, a beautiful setting, and a memorable meal for brunch or dinner.“

“Unforgettable 25th anniversary experience! From the moment we were greeted into the sanctuary with the perfect combination of warm familiarity and excitement at sharing the imminent treasures - which was the essence of the evening's sublime service - to the moment we were escorted to the secret room next to After, we were enchanted for 8 courses and wine pairings over 3 hours. Luke the sommelier combined his full-to-the-brim (but not overflowing) cool-nerd passion with a perfect performance of slightly rebellious professionalism during which we slowly started to understand the genius of his partnership with Chef Duffy and how Ever will be one of the very best dining experiences any of us could have, for as long as we all can witness this privilege. Sable fish beneath a carved black garlic stencil that melted, floated into the puree... a multi-tiered mouth-watering dessert structured in a bowl like a Dali miniature landscape...Wagyu ribeye seared to rhomboid perfection...mushrooms and fruit serenading each other throughout in perfect harmony. I can't stop thinking about it, dreaming about it. We've eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants around the world, but this is the Aladdin's cave of them all.“

“My friend and I stopped here for happy hour on a Friday afternoon and it was a complete vibe. We sat at the bar and got drinks swiftly. Our first round we had the house old-fashioned. It was OK but the second round we switched to Moscow mules and they were much better. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Very upscale and trendy in a beautiful building.“

“I went for a friends graduation brunch, and it was definitely a hopping spot in the city, and I can see the appeal for the rooftop views alone, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you’re getting in my opinion. I had the biscuits and gravy ($25) which was fine but also strange in that it tasted more like a chowder than gravy. I also got the chocolate chip cookies which were and came in an order of 3 for $12. As I said, a bit overpriced for cookies, but actually felt worth it for their size and deliciousness. Of course, part of why you’re coming here is for the views and this place did not disappoint! Despite it being a very hot day outside, there was a good crowd out there especially because there’s a bar on the patio as well. And even though it was very busy throughout the entire time there, my party and I had fairly consistent service, although I did have my drink order forgotten, but the server ended up comping me for it, which made up for it.“
