“We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here and it did not disappoint! Lobster cargot could’ve been a meal by itself!! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Teriyaki green beans were also a favorite of ours along with the Mac n cheese. You have w to get dessert! We had the chocolate ganache cake and strawberry sundae. Jeff our server was amazing ! The view couldn’t have been better.“

“OMG where do I start . The beautiful service started from the moment we walked in the door . The hostess was very nice warm and inviting . While we waited for our table we went to the bar for a drink the bar tender was just as sweet as the hostess. It was like the further we made it into the restaurant the quality of service kept going up a notch. And the manager we even got to meet him and he was also super sweet. . Ok now on to the food because that's why you're here ... We started with the chard octopus and meet ball it was so good chefs kiss . We had the New York strip and the prime ribeye. Accompany by the Mac and Brussel sprouts Whew so mouth watering and delicious . This was such an amazing experience they gave . “I.am not from Chicago but I am literally planning my next trip so I can eat at this establishment again. One of the most perfect dinners I ever head. The atmosphere is upscale but not pretentious (ask for a table in the back room, which is incredibly warm. The first room with the bar is a bit colder lighting-wise. No need to dress up but if you want to you won't be out of place). We got the bucatini polanco (perfection) and the bavette wagyu which was top three best steaks I ever had. On top of that the service was flawless. We told our server (I wish I remembered her name as she was the nicest) that we were a bit late for our after-dinner plans (also because we had to wait 25 minutes for our table, which is the only negative note but it was a Saturday night and thecrestaurant was packed so it was understandable) and asked our server if she could speed up our dishes and everything came in record time (but still giving us time to enjoy each of them). The dolce de leche tiramisu is a must.“

We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection!
We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge!
The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers.

“I am so happy that they kept the classic feel of the original Tavern on Rush. The menu is similar, the vibe is a bit more modern and upscale, but you know you are at Tavern on Rush and the quality of the steaks is absolutely outstanding! Two of us had the bone in filet - simply amazing! The sides were tasty and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The wedge salad wasn't great, but the rest was and they still have a terrific wine list. Our service was off the other night. We had a very vigorous waiter who kept pushing to get our order and could tell that we hadn't looked at anything yet. This was a business dinner, the president of my husband's company was in town and wanted us to take her to a classic Chicago steak house. We did order oysters and wine to start. When he came for our dinner order there was no presentation of the steaks, no description of the menu and we just felt rushed all the way through to the point that he "assumed" that we did not want desert. Now, in his defense, we were there a long time as it was a business dinner, and at one point he did say he was trying to get our order in before a huge table next to us ordered, which was appreciated. I don't want to cloud this review with a service complaint as the food, wine and ambiance were excellent and we had a great table by the window, which was nice.“

“We ate lunch at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago today. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the hostess helped us with our parking situation. Our server was friendly and quick. We started with a selection of appetizers to share: the grilled octopus, pork belly, and Merlot wine-baked brie. The grilled octopus was a standout—I absolutely loved it!

The owner stopped by our table and gave us an introduction of each meat kind that was offered on their menu. However, I didn't order the steak this time since I had a lot of meat lately. So for my main course, I had the lobster bisque and the squid ink pasta. The squid ink pasta was phenomenal, offering a perfect kick of spice. It was truly excellent.“

“We were a party of 5 for a birthday dinner at 7:30 pm on a Thursday night. Sit inside (chandelier room). Not too crowded compared to outside dining area. Food was excellent and our server (Jen) was very attentive, as were the bussers. Half off high end wine on Thursday was a nice surprise. Decanted and served beautifully. We had oysters, tuna crudo, tomato and mozzarella for starters. We split two large steaks and added the butter poached lobster tail to both. The sides were also great as well as deserts. “We loving coming here for oyster happy hour before we head to dinner or other plans for the night. It is our very favorite oyster spot in town. They plate the oyster well on a tower so the oysters are not on top each other. The oyster are cleaned and shucked well so the brine is still in the shell. Additionally the other happy hour drinks are good too.“
