“I was driving home and saw their white sign outside. Decided to stop and try it out. I ordered the Spicy Italian sub and a Breaded Steak sandwich. They were delicious! So good that I couldn’t stop to take a picture. I’ve passed by this place for years and never stopped to look. That changed today. I will be going back pretty soon and often.“
“First time customer last week. The food was excellent. I had the Red Sea Tuna Salad sandwich. The portion was huge and the flavor was excellent. Among the best tuna sandwich's I've ever had. The tomato, spinach & pasta soup was delicious. It tasted homemade and was the perfect match for my sandwich. I also tried the pineapple lemonade. OMG! I have a sweet tooth and it was satisfied. It was surprisingly delicious. But, I could only have one a week or so! The food was reasonably priced; with the tip, I think it was a little over $20.00. The staff was super friendly. It took a few minutes longer than I expected for the food to be prepared. But, it clearly wasn't pre-made. It tasted fresh made. That takes a little more time. Happy to wait for it! The store is small with one or two tables as I recall. Maybe 4 to 8 people could eat-in if they like. I'm so glad this little soups, salads and sandwiches shop is in the neighborhood. I want the tuna sandwich again. But, I think I'll try the grilled salmon sandwich tomorrow when I go back.“
“Best quick junk food on the north side for sure. Don't expect much if you're dining in. Just some stools and 1 extended counter. Chicago type of atmosphere for sure, but the food -- hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks are perfect. They always hook up the fries too, and it's pretty cheap.“
“Just like Harold's, not all Sharks are equal. I like the 51st location because they're fast and the fry is always done well. Never overcooked and it seems like they change their oil frequently. My only gripe is that by default they use a lot of seasoning salt. It's def tasty but too much is too much. If you let them know to go easy on it, all is well.About to order a Tenders meal rn!“
“The food is well executed! the owner/chef totally gets it! I a make sure to tip because I feel like most the clientele does not. They have a jimshoe sandwich, it slaps, I’m going to try the fish next time. The bread is ideal for the philly and other sandwiches. However proprietary they may be, the fries are better than fatsos last stand and red hot ranch in my opinion“
“My husband and I came to this restaurant and we ordered pambazos and tacos. I have been looking for a great pambazos place and this was perfect. The tacos are great in my opinion. The hot sauces are comfortably and flavorful spicy. They serve your tacos with cucumbers on the side and at first I thought that was odd, however, when eating the tacos with the spicy sauce…it is the perfect thing to balance out the spiciness. My husband had their cucumber and lime water and he said it was delicious and perfectly balanced flavors. The gentlemen serving us were very polite and attentive. We truly enjoyed our visit and will visit again!“
“This place was great. It looks like a family restaurant and the service was great. The best chips and salsa I have had at a Mexican restaurant in Chicago. I highly recommend. Doesn't look like much from the outside but typically that's how you know the Mexican food is good.“
“This is a great location to go to specially at the hours you can't depend on McDonald's or White Castle or some of the mainstream restaurants these days their system is always down the apps to get discount doesn't work but this place here is a gem.“
“This place has the bomb tacos - a culinary adventure for sure, not your average taqueria (which I do love btw, but this is different). Rotating seasonal special ingredients, duck tacos, amazing flavor. Also a little pricier, and a longer wait time (they make these suckers to order) I advise order online in advance and pick em up!“
