“my best friend and I just had the BEST experience at the whale! Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. We will definitely return with friends and recommend anyone to try it out! classy, but not snobby, cool decor, warm kind and accommodating staff, and great food and cocktails are just the cherry on top! try the carrot cake after your meal :) Thank you again to taylor and the manager again <3“

“Oliver's has my favorite burger in town and it's not even close. So good I'm debating going and just ordering two for myself nest time. All the other dishes are excellent too. Personally I thought the risotto was lacking in flavor but went well with the side of mushrooms we ordered separately. Cookies and milk was nostalgic and delicious. Golden hour cocktails tasty as well. Staff was an absolute pleasure; kind and attentive.“

“Had a great experience at Maxwells Trading for dinner this week before a show. The service was truly outstanding. The prosciutto and whipped ricotta dishes were excellent starters, and the mushroom rice was very tasty.
We will definitely be back and next time will save enough room for dessert.
(Also loved the fact that there was street parking available.)“

“A perfect night we came the family for my son's 21st birthday. It was a great night. We had to get to united center. The service pace was perfect. Not rushed but not slow. The pao de quieo was divine. The jam added was wonderful. The sweet potato was the star of the meal. Starched, crunchy at the same time. My son had the wagu beef. Was excellent. The chimichurri sauce. The brazino was good. Even though did not like the Harissa but the green paste on the other side of the fish wonderful. The chef knows how to grill a fish. They even served my son a birthday icecream with coconut. I am gluten free had no issues most of the menu items are gluten free. There was one honest mistake they served me the brazino and forgot to mention the aioli on the side is not gf. I did not touch it so it was not a big deal and frankly speaking feel bad to even complain about it as everything else was just perfect. But if I would have eaten it it would have ruined the night. So a little bit more caution with guest with allergies. Anyway mistakes happen Brassero is not a dedicated gluten free kitchen and it is a risk for GF diners every time they go to a restaurant establishment. So did not even bother complaining. I will be back despite that. Can see why it is so highly rated. Keep up the good level.“

“The food was so delicious!! We got garlic knots and truffle mushroom arancini and it was so good! For dinner we got vodka pasta and build your own pizza. The New York style pizza is delicious with a thin and crispy crust. Service was great, our server checked in on us often and answered all our questions. For dessert we had amaretto tiramisu which was so yummy!! I will be coming back and recommending this restaurant to others!“

“You would never know. Just walk on by. But it’s your loss if you do. The food is amazing. Flat out good. So much better than any of those downtown corporate places. Cooked with heart and profoundly good flavor, texture and palate. Next door to perhaps the best pasta in the Midwest, this restaurant and bar should be on your list.“

“Initially we had a few issues. The room wasn’t ready and the kids were fussy and tired but the hotel gave us free deserts in the restaurant Adorn. They were amazing. The customer service was excellent. We finally got to our beautiful room with spectacular views and were very happy but the kids stuff that we requested wasn’t there. They again made up for it and went over and beyond. The kids loved getting an ice cream party, robes and treats. Four Seasons is an outstanding hotel. We will definitely be back. We’ve been home for 2 days and the kids already want to go back!“

“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.“

“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.“

“I absolutely love this place. The portions are big and the flavor is even bigger. If your looking for amazing food with good pricing and large portions this is your spot. The only thing I can slightly complain about is service and the fact the waiter wasn't very happy and clearly expressed her emotional displeasure. I understand there was probably a personal reason behind this and everyone has bad days so im not going to hold that against her. The food the quality and basically everything else was so amazing I would still give this place a 10 star review even if it had the worst service ever.“

“Had a great experience here twice while in Chicago for the National Restaurant Show. Once for brunch and once for dinner !! Let's start with brunch.. It was out of this world, staff was friendly and attentive, the hazy ipa was crisp and ice cold, then the tour of the menu kicked off and I was In foodie heaven! I warned the bar tenders I would need some Boxes as I was about to do a dining tour through the menu.. the anchovy toast was #insanegood, the pimento cheese eclair was out of this world, the oysters were fresh, the Benedict was crazy with boudin noir blood sausage crab hollandaise sauce on eclair style muffin! The French omelet with caviar was crazy good it was floating in an amazing sauce and the eggs were perfectly cooked and the caviar was the perfect garnish , the asparagus with poached egg with the sauces it was hanging out in were top notch .. The loyalist burger was fire and I am hard to please on burgers.. the details on everything were impressive all in a casual spot downstairs from the Michelin level concept the chef has !! To finish off the meal one of the best things I have ever had was the pistachio eclair !! WOW WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! Came Back a few days later for dinner service and did the same thing started out ordering a stack of boxes so I could work my way thru the dinner menu !! The Spence farm egg with caviar app was amazing !! The French onion eclair was another genius chef creation with an eclair, the cod quenelles, the beef Tartare, and endive salad were on point in all the ways .. then came the mains .. ordered the ocean trout and the gnocchi dish as a side kick .. both of those were some of the best dishes I have had .. the skin was so crispy on the trout but not burnt like how did you get this so perfect .. secretes of the kitchen is how .. the preparation and plate up with the trout was nothing short of a perfect pairing and the gnocchi made another side kick but could have been an amazing entree .. then to finish it off the orange 🍊 glazed brioche dessert that was flambéd table side was the perfect ending to a 5 Stars all around memorable Dining experience !! When in Chicago this chef and team is a must try! I will for sure visit their Michelin level experience as this was Michelin level In A causal environment!!“

“A very creative kitchen serves up surprising dishes in every course, even dessert, where many restaurants just go through the motions. They also serve up cocktails that you are not likely to see anywhere else. What comes as no surprise, is that they are a Michelin starred restaurant.“

“I often seek out experiences at Michelin-starred restaurants when traveling, and Chicago has its fair share of choices. I have dined several times at 3-star Alinea pre-pandemic, so I chose to book 2-star Oriole for this trip; it has perhaps the most buzz recently (ie, from Infatuation). Like Alinea, it's not just a meal, it's an experience, although less theatrical and perhaps more food-focused.\n\n Unassumingly located in a former warehouse on an alley, one enters the building via a small outdoor patio. There is a small reception area, part of which is a former freight elevator, where you are served a chilled tea. The elevator reminded me (and apparently other guests) of the Tower of Terror ride at Disney World's Hollywood Studios. The rear of the elevator opens up from the middle (as freight elevators do) and parties are individually escorted into the restaurant. Aside from a lounge area for waiting diners, there are 3 areas through which guests travel and take bites--the bar (3 bites), the open kitchen (one bite), and the dining room.\n\nWe may have seen Executive Chef/owner Noah Sandoval, but he blended in with the entire kitchen team, which was not small. The menu consisted of 14 courses/bites which surely change often; you are given a copy of your particular menu at the end of the experience, including whichever beverage pairing you had, if any. I had the non-alcoholic beverage pairing, which mostly consisted of highly complex tea-based drinks. A server told me all staff members participate in creating these elixirs.\n\nSince the courses surely change, it seems silly to list them all. I will say the 3 bites we had at the bar were all with raw or barely touched seafood and had broths so delicious we were slurping from the serving vessels like they were teacups. \n\nThe single bite served in the kitchen is perhaps the most memorable and unlikely to change with time. It's a Hudson Valley foie gras mousse served over toasted brioche and topped with blueberries--OMG!\n\nThe courses in the dining room were all fabulous and multi-layered. My faves were probably the Matsutake custard, the Wagyu ribeye and the carrot cake. \n\nOverall a pricey but unique and enthralling experience.“

“We had high hope for this place and it started out fine. However, everything fall apart in the two main courses. The pork cheek was so overwhelmingly salty, it ruined all the taste and memories from the previous dishes. And the Wagyu preparation was the worst in all the places we have had it. The evening starts with sweeter notes and to match it with wine pairing, they had to serve a Tokaji. And then again we were served a sweeter wine at the end with the desserts. This sweet, super salty and then sweet taste failed to set a theme for the courses. Beginning courses were beautifully plated. Overall, it did not reach the level of expectations. One a side note, the service was very good, however many times it felt robotic. Like in future, if you are served by robots, it will be like that. Two people will come, and synchronize to place and take you plates at the same time. The feel of awkwardness is there. The ambience was the best though.“
