“The restaurant was quiet and conducive to conversation. The food was just ok. My soup was good but the flatbread was a bit soggy. Service was attentive although server forgot giving one member of our party his soup. She didn't charge him though.“

“We had a fair experience at Lilac Tiger. Went in on a Friday night and were seated fairly quickly. My cocktail was great. My friend's, not so much. We ordered the vada pav and the chettinad paneer curry. My friend also got mussels. Everything was alright. Very few vegetarian options and the ones we ordered were okay. Service was a little spotty. The hostess who greeted and seated us was very professional and was amazing.
We weren't super impressed but the place is worth checking out and we will definitely want to give it another try.“

“Had dinner last night. We had an excellent server named Carly. She was extremely friendly and answered our questions. She came back to the table several times to check on us.
It was refreshing to dine out and be treated so nicely.
We also chatted with Patrick the manager who we talked with each time we have been to FatPour and he is an absolute sweetheart too.
All in all good experience and we will return!

“Took my family to MAS-ICNA convention and stayed at Hampton Inn next door. Gave Krave a shot. Probably 1 of the best experiences I've had in all of Chicago. Courteous, caring, comfort, and everything good in between. It gave me comfort that owner was of same background as I was to so that's a cherry on top in itself.

Food was top tier. Portions are beyond generous. Staff extremely thoughtful. I can't speak enough praise about this place. They deserve their success and so much more. This is my go to spot when I come back down again

“We understand why it’s named Gretel… if you’re wondering where Hansel is, he starved to death waiting for his burger. To be fair, it’s one of the best burgers you can get in Chicago BUT you should not come here if you have any other plans that evening. It took 30 minutes longer to be seated than they initially told us (over an hour and a half total). Once we were seated, pretty sure the waiter forgot about us at our table, but it didn’t really matter because the vibes were high 👌🏼 The drinks were great, but consider bringing your own because you’ll grow a five o’clock shadow waiting for your next round. The host, Jonah, was the shining star of the evening and was truly hilarious. But our waitress kept trying to argue that “well” and “well done” were different levels of doneness, so that was annoying (and slightly concerning). Overall, the food was phenomenal, but it was a very slow experience - the antithesis of “fast” food.“

“I've been to about 10 tasting menus in Chicago and maybe another 5 while traveling in other cities, and this is now my favorite spot. Around 30 bites that come out rapid fire with a story and everything is good to incredible - how is this possible? Oh, and the menu is constantly changing. We went once at the beginning of November and then 4 weeks later, and the menu was completely different!

One thing that really jumps out is how much fun the staff seems to be having, and it is infectious. They tell stories about the food, wine, utensils, and farms. This could come off as pretentious elsewhere, but here it just feels like genuine excitement and pride in finding something of such quality. The wine pairing was incredibly well thought out too. These were some complex wines, and then there was the saki .. indescribable. My girlfriend and I didn't want to drink that much so they suggested that we just split a single pairing - so accomodating. There are also a few surprises that you won't get at any other tasting menu, but I don't want to spoil them.

I know that there were some negative critic reviews early on, but I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience now. Just go!“

“We rolled in as some sleeveless thirsty travelers late night on a Thursday. We were bathed in nonchalant hospitality. The quality of a bar can stand on the legs of a Strong menu but it’s only excellent when you have exceptional staff. The Scofflaw has the sauce“

“Great place for dinner! I have dined here many times with family and friends. The staff is attentive, and the service is timely. The menu is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. “We went at Christmas time. They decorate the restaurant from the ceiling to the floor in lights. You can't help but get in the festive mood. We did make reservations and we came earlier and they still sat us. The staff was very friendly. I started with a cocktail called the Ramblers Rest. It was tasty. I could really taste the pomegranate notes. For appetizers we got the poutine. It is okay. For dinner I got the chef's wedge salad it was delicious. The homemade ranch dressing and the bacon bits totally made the salad. My hubby got their shepherd's pie. He said it was great. They have Coke products. They have a private area, and plenty of seating options. They have two fire places. I definitely want to go back during the summer. It looks like they have a large patio. Oh and they have a no stroller rule in the restaurant.

“We ate at Phase Three today at the recommendation of my doctor. And it did NOT disappoint. We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. There were so many flavors and they all blended so dang well. They even had some unique beer option that we brought home. If your down in the Chicago area or willing to make the trip, it’s definitely worth it“

“My first time at the Modern Plate today. I was blown away by the beautiful dining and club room. The food is absolutely amazing and filling. The owner Ted is a very passionate man about his restaraunt, and I admire that. It absolutely shows that there is concern and care that goes into every corner of the Modern Plate. Now, I was here for an event in the club room, but rest assured, I WILL be coming here for just the dining experience and the food. I live about 50min away, but it is...THAT good. “Dishes were creative and unique, had amazing flavor profiles. I absolutely love the lamb carpaccio, never had raw lamb before, it was cured well and paired with gooseberries that popped in the mouth and cut through the greasiness. Mussels were also mind blowing with the taste and creativity. Everything was fantastic until the blue prawns get in the way, they were still kinda raw I know that’s how some places do it but I felt uncomfortable eating raw shrimps, and desserts were subpar. However overall it’s amazing and definitely worth going back for new menu rotations“

“Tumans is a great spot, nestled in the heart of the Ukrainian Village, at all times of day. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is top notch. Personally, I do not think there is a food establishment that the servers and bartenders seem like great friends, both with each other and with patrons.
