Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. “This place has a cool, hip vibe and it’s fun to eat at the communal tables. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of beer and creative craft cocktails. Food is beautifully plated and delicious - make sure to try the potatoes, baby gem salad and hanger steak.“

“A perfect night we came the family for my son's 21st birthday. It was a great night. We had to get to united center. The service pace was perfect. Not rushed but not slow. The pao de quieo was divine. The jam added was wonderful. The sweet potato was the star of the meal. Starched, crunchy at the same time. My son had the wagu beef. Was excellent. The chimichurri sauce. The brazino was good. Even though did not like the Harissa but the green paste on the other side of the fish wonderful. The chef knows how to grill a fish. They even served my son a birthday icecream with coconut. I am gluten free had no issues most of the menu items are gluten free. There was one honest mistake they served me the brazino and forgot to mention the aioli on the side is not gf. I did not touch it so it was not a big deal and frankly speaking feel bad to even complain about it as everything else was just perfect. But if I would have eaten it it would have ruined the night. So a little bit more caution with guest with allergies. Anyway mistakes happen Brassero is not a dedicated gluten free kitchen and it is a risk for GF diners every time they go to a restaurant establishment. So did not even bother complaining. I will be back despite that. Can see why it is so highly rated. Keep up the good level.“

“You would never know. Just walk on by. But it’s your loss if you do. The food is amazing. Flat out good. So much better than any of those downtown corporate places. Cooked with heart and profoundly good flavor, texture and palate. Next door to perhaps the best pasta in the Midwest, this restaurant and bar should be on your list.“

The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.“

“I absolutely love this place. The portions are big and the flavor is even bigger. If your looking for amazing food with good pricing and large portions this is your spot. The only thing I can slightly complain about is service and the fact the waiter wasn't very happy and clearly expressed her emotional displeasure. I understand there was probably a personal reason behind this and everyone has bad days so im not going to hold that against her. The food the quality and basically everything else was so amazing I would still give this place a 10 star review even if it had the worst service ever.“

“As always, the food, waitstaff and the management were wonderful, but the evening got off to a rocky start as we were not told until we got there that the kitchen was closing at ten. Our reservation was for 9:45 and some in our party didn't get there until after 9:55, so there was chaos at the start. Turns out the web site said that the kitchen was closing at 10, but it would have been much more pleasant if we were explicitly told when we made the reservation that this was going to be the case. The restaurant stayed open much later so we had a chance to enjoy the food, service and New Years Eve. We do definitely recommend Fat Pour and we will be returning.“

“I came to Gretel in Chicago with a few friends and had such a great experience! The atmosphere was lively but still cozy — the kind of spot that feels perfect for catching up over good food and drinks. I ordered the Monarch cocktail and the signature Gretel Griddle Burger, and both were amazing. The Monarch was perfectly balanced — refreshing, smooth, and beautifully made. The burger absolutely lived up to the hype: juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. Between the great service, relaxed vibe, and delicious food, Gretel definitely impressed me!“

“One of, if not, the most impactful meal I have had in the past couple of years and maybe ever. Every details from the playlist to the type of wood used in the utensils was carefully curated by the amazing team. Some dishes were enjoyed with frustration, knowing that I would never be able to have anything like them ever again, others with amazement and some were just too good for me to forget. I cannot sing the praises of this place enough. I am so incredibly lucky to have visited in the earlier years of its establishment, and hope to come back as frequently as I can. “We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“We reserved a table for two for an early Christmas Eve dinner, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made the evening feel extra special. We were quickly greeted by our server, Ashley, who was super attentive. She put in our drink order right away and brought out their complimentary soda bread, which was a great touch. We ordered the Shepherd’s pie and a wedge salad with chicken, everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were quite large. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy their patio.“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. “I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“
