“I recently visited the Dunkin’ on Sand Lake Rd., and overall, the experience was decent, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Let’s start with the positives: the recent remodeling is a huge plus. The place looks fantastic! The kitchen, counters, and displays are all new and spotless, which gives it a very welcoming and organized feel. As expected from any Dunkin’ location, the donuts are great—classic, reliable, and always a treat.

However, the same cannot be said for their sandwiches. I recently ordered one that included hashbrowns, and it was a disappointment. The hashbrowns were soggy and dripping with oil, which made the sandwich unappetizing. A little more care in food preparation would go a long way.

The drive-thru experience is where things fall short. While efficiency is important, customer service is too. Unfortunately, the drive-thru staff, particularly a young, blonde girl, seems uninterested in even basic politeness. She doesn’t greet customers or respond to greetings, giving off the impression that she’s always in a bad mood. This lack of interaction feels cold and unwelcoming. As a result, I’ve started ordering inside at the counter, where the service is slightly better.

Overall, the Dunkin’ on Sand Lake Rd. has a lot going for it in terms of appearance and food quality (aside from the hashbrowns), but the staff could really use a refresher on customer service skills to make the experience as great as the newly remodeled space suggests it could be“

“The Tala in Libertyville is also where Tala roasts its coffee. It's a cute little spot. The coffee is always delicious and high quality. I like that this location has muffins in addition to donuts. The zucchini chocolate chip muffins are amazing. The staff is friendly.“

“Conscious cup is my go to in town, even though we have quite a few independent coffee shops. The drinks and food are great. Disappointed with the price updates lately, a sandwich is now the same price as it used to be but a half size. I understand the rising costs of things but I think management needs to reconsider this or adjust prices to bring back the original sizes.“

“I just went there to have a meeting with a coworker and absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere. The empanada was still frozen when they served it to me but the server was so kind and gentle and immediately gave me another one that was well cooked and didn’t charge me for the wait and inconvenience. “I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“Went to a different location today as I was traveling a different route. Bagel was delicious (multi grain), my iced coffee was very strong, had them add more milk. The place is very dark compared to other locations, needs brightening up! Service was excellent, would go back.“

He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. Also, they add on the little things I ask for, extra carmel topper or whip, without up charge. This Starbucks is by far been worth driving to than any other on surrounding areas. It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. “When this location first opened it took over 20 minutes to get a drink and then it was made wrong. I was the only person there so it wasn't a long line issue. I have been there more recently and they are up to speed, making drinks correctly, the interior is always clean and organized, staff is friendly.“

I went back to the drive thru to ask for napkins to clean it up since I didn’t have any in my car. I also had three small kids with me so couldn’t go into the store to get napkins. She not only provided napkins but made me a new cold brew! Such great customer service and so unexpected.“
