“Fried shrimp jianbing was a delectable combination of so many textures and flavors wrapped up in a freshly griddled crepe. The textural contrast between the shatteringly crispy wonton sheet and the soft, chewy crepe was downright addictive. Every bite was flavorful: smoky, savory, slightly sweet, a little spicy, and wildly satisfying. It's the comfort of street food in one messy, glorious handful.“

“Taco Verde is hands down one of our favorite spots for amazing halal tacos! The quality and flavor are consistently outstanding. We absolutely love their Birria Tacos — perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with rich, authentic flavor.
Their Birria Pizza Tacos are a must-try as well. Such a creative twist, loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite is satisfying.
What really makes the experience even better is their hospitality. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always happy to provide extra consume upon request without hesitation. Great service, incredible taste, and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend Taco Verde!“

“This is definitely some of the better dim sum I’ve had. I’m not sure what it’s called but my favorite one is like shrimp amd egg and it’s a little toasted. And the custard tart is so good. The crust is so flaky“

“Hi Hing Wang team,
I know this place since 2005, right after they moved from “under the Red Line train” to their actual address. Since then, I remember their chicken noodle soup was great. I say “was” because it’s not on the menu anymore. Their fried rice is amazing — I love it.
But today’s review is really because of the new lady there. She was cleaning every table, and it seemed like she was making sure everything was clean, or at least disinfected. When I arrived to pick up my order, I left my change as a tip. She called out to the kitchen staff and said, “Tips!” and everyone replied, “THANK YOU!”
I got excited, lol, and left even more tips. :)
Then, when she handed me my order, she said, “Thank you, have a nice day, and come visit again.” It blew my mind. I have never heard that from anyone at that place, haha. I got outside and checked again if I was at the same place.
Anyway, thank you for keeping the same taste all these years, and please keep that young lady there. She is perfect as a host.
Thank you!“

“Best Chinese food in Chicago! The Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites along with their Pork Fried Rice, but I have enjoyed many of their dishes - BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, Beef Chop Suey on crispy chow mein noodles - all delicious. The servings are large - plenty to share or take home for tomorrow's lunch. All the staff are friendly and efficient, and you can eat in, pickup or order delivery. Try House of Wah Sun; you won't be disappointed.“

“I been buying a loyal customer since 2017 brought it to my mom's house se loved it when she ask where I got it, and told her. She said that she use to buy from there when she worked in that area 20+ years ago. Still great quality and flavor“

“The food is always solid, poIite staff, pretty fast outside of lunch/dinner hour. If you are looking for a recommendation, you can't go wrong with the basics: chicken fried rice, orange chicken, egg foo young, or wonton soup. Items I also recommend: Mongolian beef or salt and pepper shrimp.
I eat there so frequently I felt it's time I owed them the rating they deserve.“

“Unpopular but should be popular opinion, Peking Mandarin is the best restaurant in Chicago. I’ve been ordering by takeout from here for the last 8 years and I finally dined in. Takeout has always been exceptionally good and dine in was also. The service was quick and attentive. The owner was so kind and funny. A hidden gem for sure.“

“I stopped by this place just to grab a quick bite while I was waiting around, and I’m really glad I did 😄🍜 Honestly, I wish I had a spot like this closer to where I live! It has that classic “hole in the wall” vibe, but the food is surprisingly good-definitely one of the better American Chinese spots I’ve tried in the city 👍✨
When I visited, it seemed like it was being run by just one woman, and she handled everything so well 🙌 She was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better 💛 On top of that, the dish I had was really tasty and hit the spot perfectly 🤤🔥 Simple, comforting, and full of flavor. I’d definitely come back again!“

“If you want actual good chinese food this is your place! I've been to a lot of Chinese places and this has been one of the best. Don't be fooled by all the other highly rated chinese spots because not all live up to the hype but this is a hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop shop that's dishing out great food!
Everything cooked beautifully, top notch“

“The guy that answered the phone and took my order could have sounded like he was interested or at least a little bit friendly. Other than that I do have to say they're sweet and sour chicken is probably the best around. They're fried rice is also delicious. It's been a while since I was there so when I go back I'll update on the next dish that I get. All in all it's definitely good food.“

“The food is good but make sure to check your bag I tipped and asked her did she put soy sauce in the bag and she said yes knowing she didn’t and I have a large shrimp fried rice for little ones and no sauce ugh I’m more mad at the lie if it was a accident then ok but for me ask and tip and not get what I asked for is a slap in the face!“

“Share details of your own experience at this place.
Fine google whatever i'll do that
First time trying hot pot, reminds me of one kbbq I went in that you have to cook your own food
On the bright side, there was also a wide selection of pre-cooked food available such as rice, fruit, veggies, delectable little square cake thingies, although I did not recognize about 80% of what was in that area which was scary because I am easily frightened
• • • (that right there is called a dinkus)
The meat and broth was pretty alright, but it didn't stand out much. uhhh hang on lemme think of other stuff about this place hmmmmmmmm ok my group was large and we got our own room which was nice since interacting with strangers is scary because I am easily frightened
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm there are vegetarian broth options available which is good if you are a vegetarian because the food is vegetarian meaning there is no meat therefore making said food vegetarian“

“I have to say I Uber for this restaurant from time to time. I have to say they have great customer service but I also have been a customer here for a very long time. I have to say that having an encounter with Beatrice today was one of the most awesome customer experiences I ever have. I highly recommend food is awesome. One of my favorite things is getting beef. Fried Rice with extra egg. Always good go to on a fly. Thank you again for your great customer service“

“Order the Thai Red Curry off the takeout menu... it is our favorite dish. In fact, the staff at Jin Asian knows our order when we walk in the door. I get the chicken, my fiance gets the beef, and we have them add mushrooms to both. That, plus the Crab Rangoon with apricot-based sauce, makes one of my favorite meals in the city. The restaurant is never crowded, and the service is very friendly.“

“Quiet hole in the wall spot with some of the best food in the area. The owner is kind and works really hard to make quality food. A lot of Chinese American restaurants can have a sort of mass produced feel and use the same suppliers but you can tell a lot of love and pride goes into the food here.“

“This is a Chinese pick up place for food. Never been disappointed with an order the quality of the food is outstanding the service is always very friendly and I always get parking in the small parking lot it's easy to find on the corner Irving in California next to Horner Park in a 7-Eleven parking lot. It's my go-to place for not outrageously priced Chinese food. Recommended the specials.“

“LOVE this place and low-key consider it a hidden gem. Prices are so reasonable, even after having gone up in January - lunch special is $8. Portions have shrunk some (that's to be expected when prices go up) but it's still enough food to fill you up. Occasionally they'll get something small wrong (fried rice when I asked for white), but everything I've ordered from here is tasty, which is what not only keeps me coming back, but keeps me telling my coworkers about this place.“

“My partner and I stopped by Honeymoon Cafe today and it was such a pleasure to be part of a family-run culinary experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and came out in good timing. It was also great to walk away pleased and full with a bill under $50 for two! The complimentary tea and service was also such a pleasure to indulge. We highly recommend!“
“Kind of expensive. Cabbage with a few drops of bacon $16.. two small spicy hotpot fish didn't taste so fresh sliced into 4 filets $50. Overall atmosphere is good and clean and plates are brought out by robots first before the server put them on the table. Overall probably would go back again but not ordering those two items.“

“This was really good, I had the combination rice and the orange chicken and I've had their dumplings in the past, all have been really good. The fried rice had a very good portion size and plenty of protein, the orange chicken was tasty, just your classic American orange chicken. The dumplings were decent even though the wrapper was a bit thick. I'd say this is a really good bang for buck place.“

“We ordered three items from the restaurant and all of them were really good. However the Chow Mein (Fideo Tostado) with Crispy Noodles, was missing the crispy noodles. We reported this in the app, and the restaurant gave that item to us for free. We are giving five stars because of the exceptional customer service.“

“Our order was ready 10 minutes early so we were glad we came early. There was one table of diners in a relatively nondescript dining room but lots of carry out orders. Our egg rolls were tasty but without the traditional Chinese fried outside. These were pretty greasy but had more meat than vegetables which was a pleasant surprise. They came only with a Chile sweet sauce and it added to the taste. Our potstickers were just ok and had a slightly gooey exterior. \nOur main courses included Mongolian beef which was much higher quality beef than most places offer. Nice flavor and sauce. Our noodle dish with chicken was also flavorful as were the moo shu chicken ingredients. \nPrices were on the high side but the portions were generous and the quality deserved it. The value was great and we would return.“

“THE BEST CHINESE FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED 3 YEARS AGO...AND STILL IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD!!!
Most Chinese food are lack luster and oily. Not this place. Once you try this place out, all the other Chinese restaurants will be a disappointment.
Best value for the portion and quality.
I pray this establishment will stay in business for as long as I live.“

“I ordered the egg foo young and kung pao pork dinners, plus pot stickers. All were good, and I was very happy with the portions for the price. I just wish I'd known that there were cashews in the kung pao pork. It's difficult to see the ingredients in their online ordering options. I hope they get a real website with menu information one day. The pot sticker skins could have been thinner as well.“
