“Absolutely love the pumpkin pancakes so much, that I get them every visit! And summer the lemon blueberry. We ask for Layla every time, she knows what we drink and brings them before we ever ask. She jokes with my husband which he loves. She's funny, super sweet and such a great waitress. We've been coming here for a few months now, after leaving another pancake place, because of the food and service here. We bring all of out out of town guests here and upon a return visit this is where they want to come. Layla makes each visit the best part of our day!”

The food was was not salty or greasy and had excellent flavor, which reminded me of good Mexican restaurants in southern California. The salsa was mild but flavorful and not salty. I didn't ask about medium or hot salsa because mild was good for us. My Shrimp Fajita was the best I've had with perfectly seared shrimp and tender but not overcooked or burned vegetables. My companions also loved their Mole Poblano and Beef Mexiote. The fried ice cream and churros were very good for dessert. I recommend it, and we will definitely be back soon.”

My husband David treated us to a delightful dining experience for Valentine's Day Eve. (I love dining "off holiday" for a more peaceful pace.) We've dined at Salt on Mass many times and continue to be thrilled with our experience. We reserved through Open Table and were seated immediately with our on-time arrival. I love a table with a view of the room's comings and goings, so #41 was ideal, again. We were welcomed by our server Ryan, who explained he was also our bartender. (Love it - special insights on cocktails and wines.) He served us well, attentive but not too much so, and we loved his creative chocolate martini as our "appetizer." :-) We chose our dinner favorites - Chilean Sea Bass with delectable risotto for David and Salmon with expertly grilled asparagus for me. The portions remain appropriately generous, so we split the Key-Lime Chiffon Cake for dessert. Congratulations Johnny and crew for delivering another memory-making visit. We grabbed seats at the bar last night, where Maritza proved she can shake a cocktail like nobody’s business. The carbonara is my go-to—hands down the best I’ve had this side of, well, Italy. The oysters are my favorite in Indy, always perfectly shucked, and the wine list makes me grin every time I spot my favorite Vermentino. You don’t have to be a neighbor to feel like one once you’re at Bocca!”

“I am not usually inclined to leave a review, but I feel as tonight's visit warrants a call out. As a parent that has a child with a gluten allergy we know the struggles of finding places out to eat. We have had Azzip a few times, but have always ordered ahead of time online then drove to the store to pick it up. This evening, we found ourselves out on errands and in the area and decided Azzip had been a safe choice in the past so we made our way there. The store was not busy, but there people ahead of us and behind us and I felt the protocol followed didn't slow the process terribly but I want to commend the staff for taking it seriously. What I witnessed: 2 people working the line making the pizza on the "ingredients" side of the oven. my kid informed them of the gluten free need and they asked if it was preference or allergy. my kid informed them of allergy. they cleared the line of the previous pizza being made once cleared, they stripped their gloves and cleaned the work space and the sauce bottle my kid wanted on their pizza a cooking mat from a separate area was produced and the cauliflower crust requested was added all the toppings requested were added then the pizza was placed in the oven. there was communication to the receiving team member that an allergen pizza was coming afterwards, my other kid and my pizza were started only after the 1st was placed in the oven. after the gluten free pizza came out of the oven, I noticed the cutting instrument was different than what was used for the other pizzas we ordered. Our experiences thus far is many people don't understand what Celiac disease is and how gluten can harm the body of those affected. It is more than just the ingredients consumed; cross contamination is the true problem. Seeing the team execute the procedure with care warmed my heart as I know it takes a lot of effort to create the process, then train to it and then to follow it. My appreciation to the team! We will definitely be back!”

Also tried the Khao Pad/Fried Rice w/ beef this time and couldn't decide if it was better with beef or chicken, just as good. A new entrée we tried was the Pepper Steak/Prik Nuea w/ white rice, a hit as well. I was anxiously waiting for dessert as we had been going in winters and they do not have Sticky Rice w/ Fresh Mango during that time so finally got to try it and we are definitely having it every time we do as long as it's on the menu. Forgot to take it's pic as we were dying to try it so put up something that I found online, hence the bad resolution :) Overall experience was great as always. The young man that is the cashier has an I don’t care about doing the cashier job, I have had problems with him before, but called in a take-out order. When I came to pick it up it wasn’t where they usually put the takeouts. I waited about 5 minutes, nothing. So I went to the look to see if he was busy. One of the waiters told me he was doing grubhub and apologized to me. Come to find out my takeout and another persons take out were where no one could see them. The waiter sets mine up where I could see it. I don’t know how long it had been siting there. Disgusted I picked it up and put the cash on the register and left, my order was cold and soggy. My complaint is this individual doesn’t seem to give any priority to the customers. The grubhub person was not even around.”

It was my birthday and I asked her if they could do the birthday song at my table since there were two small girls at my table (not with us) who I thought would enjoy it. She came back and said she was told they were too short-staffed to sing...so SHE sang the standard bday song to me. It was SO sweet (I'm 75,so I really appreciated it)!! Ambience-wise, there was cold air blowing directly on my sister and me which made the evening very uncomfortable...and the chef's cart was missing my chicken (he ran and got it but it was very good), but Tibbie made the whole experience special. I hope she gets recognized. She went above and beyond! (She also gave us an extra scoop of ice cream.) This employee made our evening!”

“My son’s birthday was last night. He has had a dave and busters card for over 5 years that he has steadily built to over 50,000 points. Last night he lost it within 10m Of us being there. I had just loaded it with money. He was looking all over and so distraught. Our waitress- Angela noticed this and tried to help. As we all combed the place - she went to her manager (andre) and told him about the situation while we were looking. Within 30 minutes he had a new card (they used my credit card to track the point card number down) and all of it was moved to a new card. I just want to say thanks to our waitress who is such a caring person. We appreciated you took the time to help us and treated us like it mattered to you. And also to the manager. “My girlfriends and I have known Joe for many years- from when he worked at Buck Creek Winery. He is The BEST! Now that I have finally visited the shop 2 days in a row- I know why everyone raves about Heartland. Last night there was a great crew working! The teens were very personable and friendly. They offered us a sample. Everything tasted sooo good. If you know how great Joe is- you won't be surprised that he has a phenomenal group of employees representing his shop. As for the ice cream...my youngest son LOVED the Superman. I chose Cornbread and Coffee Cookie. Sooooo good! You HAVE to try the Cornbread ice cream! It is the most unique, delicious ice cream ever! I had to get it again today. My oldest son came this time and he sampled Cornbread. He liked it so much- that is what he ordered, too! The Cookies and Cream is also to die for! I love how easy it is to sign up for the rewards program. We also loved how many options we had to choose from on the menu. If I can ever tear myself away from the Cornbread ice cream- I would like to try the Italian Ice. It was great to see you today, Joe! What a wonderful business you are building. I'm sending Nikki in STAT! lol. My boys and I highly recommend Heartland. Looking forward to visiting again soon....”

But the best thing was the large cups of coffee that was very strong and stayed hot the entire meal without being refilled.”
