“Decided to try this establishment as we have passed it for a while. It may have said it was a Red Bird fried 🐔🍗 chicken but also was a daiquiris shop. Ordered our food, wife got a chicken sandwich 🥪 with fries 🍟 and I got a breast and wing with fries 🍟. After a short time our food was served. Wife got what she ordered and I got a drumstick 🍗 and a back, completely opposite of what I ordered. Upon going back to the register the manager asked what was wrong and I explained what was wrong and said immediately corrected the problem. Kudos to the manager. The young man that took out order was wearing dark sunglasses 😎 while he took out order and afterwards he took them off. Food was hot 🥵 and tasty.“

“Stella Maris is one of the best spots in the parish. They have a large menu that fuses flavors of the Mediterranean to accommodate all tastes and diets. My favorite is their gyro plate with hummus that is enough food for an entree that it can be shared or enjoyed again with leftovers. In addition to the restaurant, they have a grocery store with all sorts of tea, coffee, candies, and other items from the region plus a hookah lounge. Follow their page to learn the daily specials where some of their best entrees can be enjoyed quite cheaply!“

“The fancy drinks 🍹 are titillating and the appetizers are fantastic. However, the entrees were not impressive. The chicken was served undercooked and the shrimp dish was overcooked and very greasy. Ambiance is what you pay for here and the delicate mix of intoxicating flavors in their cocktails! Staff is very friendly!“

“We always try to go here when we are in New Orleans. Last weekend we took my niece for her first visit and she left her purse that was filled with all of her makeup. She was so upset because we are 5 hours away and she was starting school this week. I called the next morning and they located the bag and overnighted it to us! What a blessing! That is great customer service.“

“The coffee and service were great! However, I was under the impression that this was a dog-friendly place. I came in holding my 11 lb Shih Tzu/Poodle mix and wasn’t acknowledged regarding my dog, which was fine — until another customer came in with their dog. The staff immediately offered them complimentary dog treats from the counter, but nothing was mentioned or offered to me.

The same staff member who served me even looked over after giving the other dog a treat, but didn’t say anything to me, which left me a little confused. I didn’t want to make it awkward by asking, but I’d love to know if there was a reason for that.

Overall, I really enjoyed the coffee and the service otherwise, but that small moment made me feel a bit left out. I’ll give this a 4-star rating for now, just because it could make other dog owners feel the same way. Maybe I just misunderstood how dog-friendly this place is!“

“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

The vibe is a pleasant mixture depending on the time of visit but mostly very friendly mixture of gen x and millennials. The only hang up i have is the available seating, this place needs more seating as it is gaining popularity quickly.“

“I'm recommending the gazebo because I've always loved going here and never had any issues with the food, until yesterday. We waited on two drinks for 25 minutes and two meals for 45 minutes. The food was inedible, both poboys were doused in salt and the chicken wasn't cooked properly. I informed the server that it wasn't cooked and I couldn't eat it and she couldn't have cared less. We paid $70 for food that was left on the plate. Extremely disappointed and hoping it was just a bad day.“

“This is the absolute best coffe in th city. Highly recommend. The baristas are professional and amazing. The only down side is that the parking is terrible. There are about 3 parking spots and it is in a very busy area with a ton of construction.“

“On our first visit in Marrero, Jasmine was our waitress. My husband has to have limitations with his food choices. No problem, Jasmine helped with suggestions and the cook prepared it perfectly. Now on my 2nd visit, Jasmine not only remembered me but asked where was my husband. She not only remembered us but what we ate. As I dined alone, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable! And then as I placed a take-out order for my husband, she had suggestions due to his salt restrictions in his diet. What a memory!
