“The food here is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the wait. Expect a wait time of 30 minutes to an hour due to its popularity, but it's well worth it. It's a pretty small place but can seat a lot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally, I tried the Swing Pork Belly, Yo-In-Style Ramen Noodles, Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup, and Black Fish Fillet with Szechuan Pickles. The Swing Pork Belly with its incredible garlic sauce and the Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup with the perfect amount of spice and meat were standouts. “I was drawn in by the Roast Duck Noodle Soup - when I saw it, I knew that would be dinner for the night! Walking into Boston Soup Dumplings on Friday night, the restaurant was pretty full. The whole interior is made up of tables for seating. You have to order using a QR code, which probably makes the food come out faster. Of course I ordered the soup but I was slightly disappointed. The broth didn't have that much flavor and the duck was mostly bone. To be fair, it did mention on the menu that the broth wasn't spicy. I noted that and added some chili oil which definitely kicked it up a notch. The meat that was on the duck was beautifully seasoned - downright delicious! But there was so little of it, I found myself searching through the bone/skin/fat pieces trying to find more meat. Not sure if it was just my bowl or that's the way its served. Overall, it was a good experience and I know they're known for heir dumplings, so maybe I'll try that next time!“

They do tell you it is spicy and it makes me sad to see people give lower reviews only because the broth was spicy because that's what szechuan/chongqing broth is! Theirs is especially spicy though even compared to medium at other places in Boston.I only get the spicy mala broth here. One thing I like is that after 10 they give 20% off discount! Prices are still comparable to other premium hotpot places but the late hours and discount sets it apart from other places.I love their knife cut noodles and it's only $1.99 per order. Other ingredients I have gotten are the beef plate and boneless short rib, bok choy, tofu skin, tofu puff, and enoki mushrooms. They also have other specialty dishes like milky beef, beef tripe, etc. Although it is not my favorite spot of all time in Boston, I think the late night hours and late night discount make it better than other places in some ways. There is a bar code at the corner of the table, you scan for the menu, order and pay right on your phone when you're done. The owner was very friendly and kind. We ordered the beef noodles soup, Taiwanese fried chicken (flavorful and not too greasy like some others), braised pork over rice (very large order and the braised pork was very tender and good amount of sauce), and the lamb skewers. Everything was delicious and decent sharing portions so you can order a bunch of things to try. There are a lot of items we still want to try so we will be back soon.“

The Mala Wok here is much better than the ones from Mala Restaurant right across the street, the portion is a bit smaller than Mala Restaurant, but flavor wise, was much better. The beef pot was also great, though not as good as Kung Fu Mala which is also across the street. I speak Cantonese and so do the staffs there, and they were extremely friendly and nice. Definitely should check this place out, extremely underappreciated, will definitely come back to try other items on their menu. 10/10“

“Kao Jiu is a very beautifully designed Chinese restaurant. The interior is decorated very traditionally Chinese, with dark, lacquered wood, red lanterns, and Chinese art all around. Their menus come in the form of scrolls, which I thought was very cute and creative.I came here for the lunch special though, that's available Mon-Fri 12-4pm. The place was empty - only us in the restaurant, so service was quite fast.The lunch special came in a square wooden box with an appetizer, a choice for protein, a choice of veggies and a staple food. I came with a friend, so I was able to try 2 of everything. :) And despite initially thinking it wouldn't be filling, it actually was.The chicken kebab was the fan favorite. It was soft and moist, and had amazing seasoning. The beef kebab was a lil hard to chew with all the fat. The potato chips were my second favorite, as they were thinly sliced, very crisp and nicely seasoned. The fried tofu, oyster mushrooms, and the egg fried rice were all pretty good as well. The only thing that was slightly lacking was the lamb burger, as it did not have much meat inside and lacked a bit of flavor.“

Otherwise, ball out!The next jawns I got were the Strawberry Milk Tea and the Passionfruit Slush, because I couldn't just stop at one.The Passionfruit Slush was super different than what I expected. I'm unsure of if it was just how it was made when I went, but there was very little to almost zero sweetness to it. They also must have put milk in there. I didn't watch them make it, but that's kind of what it looked and tasted like. I would actually order this again. It was smooth and so... different! “This is a hidden gem. They have authentic Szechuan dishes. The dumplings are homemade. You can taste the Quality in it. The fish in Mandarin sauce was amazing. The tuna taco was fresh and crispy. The gray short rib was so tender and favorful. The winter rose was scrumptious. The Dan Dan noodles was so soft and spicy. The fried rice was good. The rice roll in brown sugar was sweet and soft. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Staff was so helpful and nice. Definitely will be back“

I think this made an incredible difference and how awesome our food tasted. Service and atmosphere felt like you were in somebody’s home being served food as a guest. Firstly, expect long wait times, as the noodles are boiled freshly in front of you and the bowls are made to order. It's worth the wait. I got the szechuan beef noodle soup and it hit. They have a microwave safe container. I put the leftovers in the fridge and heated it up for dinner. It's the priciest place in the food court but is by far the best. It deserves to be somewhere better. Coming back as we grow into winter and days get colder.Oh yeah, the other thing to get past is that you have to order at Dragon Bowl. “I have always had great consistent food here. Small modern, casual Chinese and Japanese restaurant. Staff is always very friendly and you get service with a smile. I always start with their Hot and Sour Soup! They use a thick old school recipe that hits you with complex flavors, plenty of fillers like wood ear mushrooms, golden needle, pork and all the good stuff. It finishes with a strong kick that will clear your sinuses. Their Spareribs on the Bone are some of the best around. Definitely one of my favorites. Their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce has a delicious flavor to it. It has a little sweetness complemented with black beans. They switched to the smaller shrimp. I actually like this because you get one in every bite. Like a famous chocolate chip cookie. The shrimp are cooked perfectly are not rubbery at all. Love this dish! Wings are crispy and juicy! Beef Teriyaki is delicious! The Egg Rolls have a really nice flavor. The ingredients could be chopped a little finer. Their sushi is delicious! Today my daughter had a Sushi Taco! Very yummy! There's also conveniently an ice cream shop right next door if you have any room left. Highly recommend eating here!“

“I had to come back and update my review -- Shine's has changed, and I think it's great. I hadn't been here since pre-COVID, but a few months ago my family decided to give it another try, and we've been back regularly ever since. The menu is almost completely different from what it was back in 2017: they are focused on authentic dishes, and doing it very well. I wish I'd come back sooner! The menu contains a lot of choices that aren't typical, but are very tasty. We particularly like the Rougamo sandwiches (listed on the menu as "burgers", but that's not exactly how I would describe them) and the "pancakes" (more like stuffed crepes, sort of), particularly the shredded potato pancakes. The soups are also excellent and unusual. And there are still areas of the menu we haven't explored at all. (I have no idea what "Toofy" is... guess I'll have to try it.) My only (minor) complaint is that you order at a kiosk (or online, for take-out) so you can't ask the waiter/waitress for any info/recommendations.“
“My family has been dining there for 30+ years. When I went on Tuesday and ordered a cup of tea they brought me a cup of hot water and a tea bag. When I requested another cup of tea the waitress refilled my cup with hot water (no tea bag). When I requested a pot of tea I was told they no longer use pots only individual cups.
