Emily was great from start to finish and helped me make a good menu. I asked for the order to be ready by 1030am and they made it happen. Everyone loved the food. You don't win friends with salad. From the time we walked in until the time we left everything was great! The food was very delicious and our steaks were cooked to perfection as requested. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us multiple times. The complimentary brownie with fudge and Ice-cream was mouthwatering. We will be returning soon.”

Taylor, the event coordinator, made this a five star event in every category including STRESS FREE for me being I live in New York! My son and now daughter in law said it couldn’t have been better! Their wedding was on Gibson Island the next day so it was a great start to the weekend!”

A lot of options and all tasted great. The plantains and one of the pastas they had was very good. Great service from all the people going around with the meats. One that stood out was Robert he was very friendly and very attentive to the guest and what we wanted. We told him how we wanted the meat cooked and which one and he was on it! The server was awesome too always coming around the check on us. The desserts was very delicious. We are definitely coming back”

My friend had a king which was superb. We used valet service at the Governor Calvert Inn which is also where you check in. I would definitely stay here again. Such a wonderful stay!”

We had the minted peas and corned beef appetizers- delicious! Next came our Shepherds Pies, which were also wonderful. We definitely enjoyed the food.

So now the bad part- our waitress (petite, long dark hair, no name tag) was terrible. She took our order and disappeared. Our appetizers finally showed up (brought by someone else) and we flagged down a different waitress for glasses of water because our bar drinks still hadn't come. Yet another person brought our entrees and we asked him about our drinks. Our waitress finally showed with our drinks... we literally hadn't seen her for half an hour. This bad service was during a non-crowded evening. What is the service like when it's busy?”

“I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.”

But I did not appreciate the way an older lady treated our young server. Either she owns the place or she's the manager. She definitely needs to work on her interpersonal skills. Other than that, Nam's Pho is an excellent place to have delicious Asian food.”

My boyfriend got the ribeye steak and he said it was one of the most tender steaks he ever had. Have no complaints. If we come into town again we will definitely be eating here again.”

“I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Looks like a bookstore from the outside, but guess what?! Well. It kind of is a bookstore. Because it’s IN a bookstore. But that’s part of its charm. “Love CPK when I'm in Annapolis. Went last Wednesday night and it was VERY Disappointing. I usually get the Waldorf chicken salad with Shrimp on top. I explained to the waitress , who must of been new, what I wanted. My sister and I get the Full Waldorf salad and split it. Two dishes come with the salad, one for each of us. This girl brought the salad and 2 very small plates. Never offered us any cracked pepper and never asked us if we wanted refills for our drinks, we had to ask. The salad had too much dressing so that it was drenched, the salad was wilting. Also they used the wrong dressing and the ingredients were few. We saw that she was shorthanded because she seemed rattled. Not very good all around. Hope this doesn't happen again. I sometimes take 3-4 people their at a time and don't want a repeat of this.”

“I would like to share how lovely last night's private chef meal experience was with The Bell House Catering on 03/16/24. A dear friend arranged a small gathering of some of my closest friends & family for a going away dinner. My husband & I are moving out of state after living in Maryland for 40 years. This dear friend Nancy arranged for a "My Favorite Things" dinner to wish us farewell. We had the best beef tenderloin & salmon, accompanied by roasted mushrooms & various colored peppers & onions w/ Bearnaise sauce; served with a beet salad & goat cheese; green salad with avocado, walnuts, cucumber & Violet petals. We finished the meal with an amazing chocolate cake with espresso buttercream frosting. There were other accompaniments with the dessert ~ 2 different wafer cookies and a Petit fours. Each dish was announced & served on gold plates by Chef Kelly herself, along with chef Michael. I felt like I was in heaven. Thank you to the Brien Family for such a gesture of love, and for my friends that made time to be there. It was a beautiful evening. We love you and are grateful for you. “I would highly recommend going and when you go ask for a woman named Cory to be your server. She greeted my family and I right at the entrance and made us feel right at home. “I am getting to know the owner Rhema and she is a beautiful person inside and out! She is so hospitable. It's as if she is welcoming you into her home. Just an absolutely lovely lady. I have tried their pizza on 3 occasions. First I was treated to a veggie slice that was very good and then I got a slice of cheese pizza at my next visit and it was Rhema's husband who waited on me and was so kind and gracious as well. That piece was also delicious. The crust tasted like garlic bread, which i loved. The 3rd visit i got a piece of Margherita pizza which was yummy as well, and that visit I was waited on by Rhema's son Abe. Also a kind and gracious young man. It obviously runs in the family!!! All in all I would highly recommend this pizza place for the delicious pizza and wonderful owners. You can't go wrong!!

Follow up review. I just had to encourage anyone looking for awesome Pizza in the Annapolis area should visit the Westfield Annapolis Mall food court and The Right Slice Pizza. Me and both of my adult children had lunch there today and their cheese pizza is spot on. It's like eating a wonderful cheese pizza but also garlic bread at the same time. You cannot go wrong if you visit The Right Slice you will not be disappointed ! We also once again got extraordinary service from Rhema and would not hesitate to go there very soon again!”

“I had the taco special for the day. Three tacos for $10 that came with a side of red sauce and a side of green sauce. I got one al pastor, one chicken y one steak. The steak was good but definitely had a couple chewy pieces but would still eat about 10 of them if I could. The chicken was also good but the al pastor was sensational. It had a lot of flavor and richness cut by the sweetness of the pineapple. The two sauces were good, although I couldn't tell you which one was hot because I dumped them on and ate everything so quickly, my mouth got hot before I could identify what made it hot lol The tacos were each made with two flour tortillas that looked like they were partially pan fried. So they had a little crispiness but still maintained chewiness so they had a little. The service was friendly and very fast. I rated the atmosphere a three because it's a parking lot of gas station. I'm not sure how to do that justice. Anyways, I will be returning. Very good at that price point.”
