The lemonade was perfectly measured and in perfect quantities. The food was very organized, of good quality, and at an excellent temperature for human consumption. “I needed to order a cake for a birthday and ordered less than 24 hours before I needed to pick up the cake. I called and spoke to Mohammad. He was super helpful and told me he could have the cake ready when needed. He walked me through the steps I needed to take to order the cake online and still have it ready when I needed it. I ordered the pink floral stripe cake and it was perfect; pretty and delicious! Mohammad even texted me afterwards to make sure I was satisfied! Customer service was top notch!“

“Wow! What a fantastic place! I didn't expect much coming in for a business meeting, but both the atmosphere and food was just amazing!
Interior design is so well done - all the details are impressive, as well as a general look and feel.
And food... mmm.. food was 10 out of 10. 2 light dishes, dessert, tea and cocktail - everything was simply delicious! All the tastes in each dish are perfectly combined!
Service was average, but the other two components compensated fully for it.

“This is hands down the best cafe in the DC area. They take coffee making down to a science and do it with attitude. The ambiance is great.

It’s a big bike (bicycle) hang out spot over the weekends, lots of folks riding on the Rhode Island Ave Trolley trail divert here.

Their food options are very light but they do have decent pastries and bagels with cream cheese.

But all that other stuff aside, if you are a coffee enthusiast, you MUST check this place out. It raises the standard for coffee in the greater dc area.“

“Super adorable family-owned bakery -- they also have a great drink menu and sell some packaged Asian snacks and ice cream too. Everything I've ever ordered here has been delicious but some favorites include: their cream bun (which they fill with cream right when you order it so that it's as fresh as possible and doesn't make the bread soggy), their black sesame mochi bread, and red bean and mochi bread.“

“Rue Café is a neighborhood fixture with the sweetest, most accommodating staff (who know how to put together damn good playlists--I swear i'm on Shazam basically every time I visit).
The food is good, and unique in its offerings relative to much of the cafe hangouts/restaurants nearby. It also helps that the staff (and patrons) are overwhelmingly cute & seemingly queer ;)

10/10 would smile and let my gaze linger a couple seconds more than usual with the person handing me my order again <3“

Coconut Bowl and mangonada are my favorite; Pina colada smoothie was not overly sweet which I appreciate. Had he green smoothie which I would have liked some ginger in there. This shop is in Rockville and there’s practically a bubble tea spot on every corner, but this one is worth your time and money. Kevin, the owner, is a super sweet older Chinese man who takes true pride in his teas. You can taste the love and effort. If you need good quality boba at least once a week like me, then this is the place to go! Thanks Kevin!“

“I ended up at the Weathon location just by chance while waiting for an appointment in the area. The place is a counter with few tables located in the Civic Center/Library Hall. Coffee is really good, pastry was fresh and the lady at the counter was polite and kind. Highly recommended“

“I am not an egg person. I chose this location cause I saw they had a non egg bagel option. When there, they were out of one of the ingredients so I had to get an egg bagel. BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS. They made me an egg white version of the sandwich which is OFF MENU. Very accommodating and again soooo good even though I generally dislike eggs.

The coffee was delicious. Which is my number one thing.

It was a very cute cafe. It got HOT though because they roasted the coffee beans right there in front of you. Which was also pretty cool to see.

Service was pretty slow. But overall good. Especially considering I ordered off menu.

Good carbonara, with a generous serving of very good guanciale
The agnolotti e limone : tasty but needs some tuning: dough it too tick - too much past! also difficult to cut, and, when you do, all the filling come out.

Tiramisù : not a huge fan, missed some coffee.

“What a welcoming little Ethiopian coffee shop! Once a market, Dire Coffee opened in 2020. Family-owned, Dire Coffee serves Ethiopian coffee beans in all different ways- black coffee, lattes, and more. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It came out hot and strong. The woman behind the register, who's the wife of the owner, asked how sweet I wanted my latte. She was very kind!

To eat, they have a variety of food. I ordered one sambusa and it was filled with lentils. It hit the spot!

The space itself is small, but comes with many places to sit. There's a small parking lot out front.“

“I can see why people want to keep this little spot a secret. Tucked away on a side street this unassuming coffee shop is a real gem.

I got a caramel latte and one of the creme donuts and the coffee impressed me at the first sip. Really smooth, not bitter and perfect sweetness. The donut was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and quick.

“One of the BEST coffees you can get in the DMV! Seriously, espresso was dialed in perfectly and milk was steamed exactly as it should be. I enjoyed the roast & flavor profile of the espresso beans. Service was quick. Inside was super super pretty with plants and abundant seating, but it may be too popular of a spot (I like quieter spots to relax lol.)

The coffee can be hit and miss (sometimes the flavorings they put in their specialty lattes are a tad overpowering) but they're good enough that I will keep ordering them. Staff is always great, too. The food was tasty - I’ve had the breakfast sandwich and pancakes before and today we got a a chicken shawarma-type pita special. Filling, tasty and unique! Also got a crepe and pancakes for kids, who enjoyed them. The main issue was the pricing of some menu options and how they get you to just pay for it if you don’t check them. I was asked if I wanted French fries or chips - I preferred the fries but then noticed when she rung me up they cost $4! Which was absurd and not made clear. I also picked up a Diet Coke can - a 7.5 oz one (the only Diet Coke option) only to find out that would have been $4.50! That is even more absurd- it wasn’t even a full 12 oz can. I opted for the $5 cold brew, which seems like the going rate (maybe in the slightly higher side). The food was good and I’d return but would be kk soul of what I’m ordering.“
