“Doi Moi is a Vietnamese fusion street food restaurant with a vibrant and modern interior design. It caters to people of all ages who love Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes served at the restaurant are incredibly delicious, and the drinks are equally impressive. Whether you're looking to share a meal with friends or to grab a drink after work, Doi Moi is the perfect spot.“
“Food was great. It was our second experience of Ethiopian food in DC during the Presidents day weekend. The staff made accommodations for our kid who does not tolerate spicy food. We ordered the Family Vegetarian Platter which was more than enough for two well-eating adults. Our kid loved the fish filet as well.“
“Tried out the Royal for date night. Cocktails are incredible. Unfortunately, we were on the exterior patio (not connected to the restaurant) so that + online ordering system almost made it feel like we weren’t really in the atmosphere. Food is well presented. Overall it was $150 for two rounds of drinks and 3 small plates, with very little interaction with service. Probably better bang for your buck at happy hour than a full on meal.“
“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“
“Went for my daughter's birthday.Food was above average, the star i took away was due to kebab being burnt from one side ,but the rest tasted great .The ribs, adana and everything we ordered tasted like authentic turkish food. There was one man on the floor who was running like a headless chicken but was serving 6 tables. The place was jam packed and a bit noisy for us, therefore, took a star away. The manager was great because he catered my request.Overall a good experience.RecommenedParking: Parking lot right next to the restaurant. We paid $13 for 2 hours on Saturday. It was not charging hourly but for just parking so flat rate“
“We walked by this place not really looking to eat but the exterior stopped us in our tracks. We looked in and saw all the pastries and decided to make a quick pit stop. We got a Pistachio Meringue Roulette to share. Mistake. Should have gotten one for myself. The flavors work perfectly together. I also got the Strawberry Matcha to wash it all down and I’m still thinking about it. Wish they would bottle that stuff!“
“Solid espresso from a Slayer espresso machine and the latte art is finally getting to a high level. Delicious light roasted beans - Ethiopian level but Panamanian?Lately there's been a short line all the time so I think the place has been discovered. La Cosecha market with dozens of tables so having 10 friends meet for coffee is trivial. Now we need the full Los Unidos menu!“
“The lemon cherry scone and piccolo were amazing! I really appreciate the effort to put milk foam art even on a tiny tiny to-go cup. The atmosphere is cozy and they have WiFi. If you can find a seat and don't mind background noise it would be a nice place to work.“
“I honored my reservation, identified myself and the time of the reservation at the front desk but the restaurant never checked me in and listed me as a no show. No one came to take our order. After 1/2 hour we flagged down a server (not our section) who said she would be happy to take our order and let our server know. We said ok just let our server know. Once she came snd took our order, food arrived quickly.“
“Amazing food from start to finish, amazing portions, great tea, and Coffee. We read the reviews as we where looking for a place to eat breakfast. The owner is amazing, the food is phenomenal, my family and I all agreed. My kids never agree on food, we were all in a food coma.“
“Sidamo Coffee and Tea in West Hollywood is a true gem! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Their selection of beverages is extensive and always delicious, and they also offer tasty pastries to accompany your drink. It's become my go-to place for a relaxing and enjoyable break in the city. Highly recommended!Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.“
“I had heard of Call Your Mother when researching good bagel places in DC. The bagels are okay - they are definitely not the chewy New York style I am used to. The everything was a bit underwhelming, however the apple cinnamon had just the right amount of sweetness. The oat latte was actually quite good; it’s a really good cup of coffee with a huge range of bagel sandwiches.Vegetarian options: You can build your own bagel sandwich and add veggies if you have specific preferences.“
“Title: A Bakery Bliss in DC's West EndReview:After a delicious dinner in another restaurant, I had the pleasure of visiting Tatte Bakery & Cafe shortly before closing, and it was a delightful experience. It was the perfect spot for a late-evening treat near my hotel. I ordered a cappuccino and a lemon mint tart, and both were exceptional. The cappuccino was perfectly brewed, and the tart was a refreshing blend of tangy lemon and cool mint, beautifully presented with just the right amount of sweetness. The bakery's ambiance added to the experience. It's a spacious and stylish spot with an inviting outdoor seating area that I look forward to enjoying on my next visit. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring my order was perfect even as the day was winding down. The service was impressively quick despite the late hour, adding to the overall positive experience. In addition to its delicious pastries, Tatte Bakery & Cafe offers a variety of breakfast and trim meal options, including pancakes and sandwiches, making it an excellent choice for any time of day.For anyone looking for a cozy place to end their day with a delicious pastry and a warm drink, Tatte Bakery & Cafe is a must-visit. It's a beautiful addition to the area and a spot I'll return to when I'm back in DC.“
“This coffee shop is worth the hype! A quick walk from the Takoma Redline station makes this place easy to get to. The cafe does get very crowded but do not let that discourage you. I tried the Chai Tea Latte which was one of the best I have had since moving back to the region. I also tried the egg, cheddar, and sausage on a Crogel. I normally do not really eat sausage because of the taste. The sausage was fresh and tasted really good. I was very surprised by the delicious taste of the sausage and by how well all the flavors went together. I can't remember what latte my partner ordered but it was also really good. I definitely recommend this cafe!“
“I really like the bagels here, especially the spicy pastrami. Latkes are also really good, along with their coffee. They admit their stuff is really expensive, but it's personally one of the cheapest eats compared to DC restaurants. This is probably more in the hands of corporate, but it is disappointing to advertise as a Jewish bakery and serve stuff that exclusively has pork bacon, such as the Whisper Walk or the BLTA. It's fine to serve pork bacon, but out of respect for Jewish and Muslims, it would be best to offer turkey or beef bacon options. Again, I know that's more of a corporate decision, but thought I should put this as a suggestion.“
“Good variety of flavors with some traditional and some more innovative. Dark chocolate was very rich and the bitterness helped counteract the sweetness of the mascarpone. I really like the dark chocolate. The mascarpone and berries was quite sweet and reminded me of the jam flavor at Gracie's in Somerville, MA.“
“A fantastic little place to find when I saw a Starbucks and wished for anything but Starbucks! This is what I wish there was more of in DC! It’s exactly what you want and the food and drink is perfect. I had the spinach and feta croissant and a cappuccino.“
“Some of the most delicious food in DC. As a vegan they had so many incredible options that you can’t always find at regular Indian restaurants. The dosa with potato filling and idly were incredible and the server was so quick to provide her recommendation for her favorite vegan curry. My friend was gluten free too and we had so many options to enjoy - it was a feast! All vegans in the area need to run over here right away! Veganesha is the bestVegetarian options: Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available“
“Super casual breakfast place- go up to the counter and order a comforting meal. Came in for breakfast and got the morning platter with French toast and bacon and a iced mocha coffee (which was good and and overly sweet!) Price point is fair and portions are filling. Leaving a picture of my toast. Sorry there is a missing slice.“
“Beautiful cafe! Feels like a cute little oasis with a lovely courtyard. Their baked goods and coffee are delicious and the hospitality / service is fantastic. Mar, Sylvia, and Manuel are so friendly and easy to talk to — feels like I’ve known them for years. This place feels like home ❤️“
“Great food, super cute and chic ambiance, and easy, prompt service. The menu has all the classics of an upscale Italian restaurant and the flavors + portions don't disappoint! I had the Burrata, the mushroom pasta, and the broccolini - all were well prepared and delicious. The price point is certainly on the higher side but nonetheless it's a cute and cosy spot that I hope to be back to soon. Glad to have this option in the neighborhood!“
“Beignets are delicious. Had my first trip to New Orleans this past summer with a great group of girlfriends and had my first beignet. Was wondering if I'd only be able to get them if I went to New Orleans, NOOOO, they are here, right here in Bowie at PJ's. Left church and stopped by, love these. I also got a chai latte, extra sweet, with some sweet cream added, yummy! Nice, quaint spot. A little tight on the counter space, to pick up your order, but overall, nothing bad to say. I love this spot.“
“We stopped here to get coffee and a sweet treat and ending up getting the orange blossom croissant and morning bun, which was so good! We also got some baklava for some friends and family, which came in these really cute yellow tin box- a perfect gift!“
“We like this charming place, our go-to spot for good coffee and freshly baked treats. The atmosphere is delightfully bright, with plenty of seating options. You'll be spoiled for choice with their delectable selection of baked goods and savory fare, all prepared well with care in their kitchen. The staff are good, always greeting you with a warm smile and eager to make your experience memorable. It's easy to see why this place is our favorite - it's simply the best!“
“Highly recommended, hot spot for coffee, breakfast, and gourmet baked morsels. Is fairly busy so can get a bit loud during peak times, but the delicious esspresso and bakery items makes it well worth the visit, plus ceiling to floor glass allows for plenty of light and scenery.“
“Best Vegan Restaurant/Coffee Shop in the Area ! The people there are friendly and welcoming! The food is so delicious and all freshly made. There are plenty of options on the menu. For example: Bowls, sandwiches, bakery items and waffles. The price range is 4-15$ which is reasonable for a vegan Restaurant!I definitely will come back.Bests,Jamie“
“Such a hidden gem! I had their pecan latte, which has actual pecan pieces in the drink. So creative! Limited pastry options, they do have vegan options. The vibe is cozy and cute, would love to come back to try their dinners/food and alcoholic drinks.Street parking available.“
“I came across this gelateria during my after-dinner walk in Dupont Circle last night. It looks lovely so I suggested coming here for dessert after dinner in Columbia Heights before heading back to our hotel in Foggy Bottom.I love the vibe and decor inside. There is long communal table in the seating area but we opted for the stools by the window to people watch. We shared a large cup with black sesame, coconut dulce de leche, and peanut butter cup. I love the rich and bold flavour of the black sesame but the coconut dulce de leche was very refreshing, particularly after a big dinner.“
“Mixture Food Hall offers a variety of vegan foods, desserts, drinks, organic supplements, oils & herbs, play areas, arcade machines & including sport TV monitors, seating areas,180° bar area, upperstairs lounge space, 5 individual restrooms, parking space. The only downside was that baby strollers couldn't be rolled into from sidewalk & had to lift up the stairs. The art moral could be used for a photo background.Vegetarian options: They offered Musa's fried oyster mushroom sandwiches & a variety of sides; tacos qucidillas; bar beers & drinks; burgers; wings & salads. My son didn't like Musa food due to too salty fried oyster mushrooms & salty fries were overcooked. The wait staff was professional; followed food safety guidelines & customer service oriented.Parking: Small to mid-size cars & suvs use space but tight parking spaces.Kid-friendliness: They offered a play area including a table & 4 metal kid chairs with educational toys & games; a loga board game, arcade machine & shooting arcade game.“
“It's been awhile since I used to run U Street and I came looking for the old Starbucks but it was nowhere to be found. I did find Cafe U and I just love this little spot. It's so cute, the Lox is my favorite thing, and the service is great. RIP Starbucks but I'm loving Cafe U.“
“Title: A Presidential Treat - 5 Stars for Pitago Gelato!Review:I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the delectable delights at Pitago Gelato, conveniently located near the White House. It's no surprise that this charming ice cream store has become a favorite of none other than President Joe Bidem himself, and after my visit, I can wholeheartedly understand why. From the moment I stepped through the door, the inviting aroma of freshly made gelato greeted me. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect backdrop for a delightful ice cream experience. The staff at Pitago Gelato were not only friendly but also exceptionally knowledgeable about their extensive array of flavors.Speaking of flavors, Pitago Gelato boasts an impressive selection that caters to all taste buds. From classic favorites like creamy vanilla and rich chocolate to more adventurous options like salted caramel with pecans, there's something to satisfy every palate. I couldn't resist trying a scoop of President Biden's purported favorite – and it did not disappoint. The unique blend of flavors was a true testament to the craftsmanship of Pitago Gelato's culinary artisans. What truly sets this ice cream parlor apart is the commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. Each spoonful felt like a burst of flavor, and the smooth, velvety texture of the gelato was absolutely divine. Whether you're a tourist exploring the nation's capital or a local resident, Pitago Gelato offers a sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of Washington D.C.The attention to detail at Pitago Gelato extends beyond the flavors; the presentation of each scoop is a work of art. The vibrant colors and enticing swirls are almost too beautiful to eat – almost. I found myself savoring every bite, appreciating the effort that goes into creating such an exceptional frozen treat. In conclusion, Pitago Gelato deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. It's not just an ice cream store; it's an experience. If it's good enough for President Joe Biden, it's certainly good enough for me. Whether you're a gelato connoisseur or just someone with a sweet tooth, make sure to pay a visit to Pitago Gelato near the White House – your taste buds will thank you!“
“Local hotspot in the Logan Circle neighborhood. Open daily starting with breakfast at 8AM with dinner service ending at 9PM or 9:30PM (Fri and Sat), this place features full bar, indoor and outdoor seating as well as lounge space. The menu is a mix of items, most veterans telling me they have never been disappointed. I went with the brussel sprouts, which were OMG good with several foodies present and in agreement. I also did the chicken marsala, which was excellent with a lovely creamy sauce - very filling. For dessert, we did a peanut butter inspired cheesecake - amazing and an absolutely sinful chocolate brownie covered in ice cream. The guys took me here for my retirement send off, and it really could not have been better.“
“Discovered it when visiting DC. A comfy and cosy spot for an Armenian snack (and coffee if you are into that). Ordered a Lahmajun and Soujuk for a small lunch and they were both so satisfying in flavour and texture =)It would be one of my go to places if I lived in this city. Highly recommended.(If you are tea/tea-latte drinker like me then there unfortunately isn't a drink for us...)“
“This place is busy so I recommend making a reservation. The food was great and our server Jasmine was thorough with helping me as a first timer. The pastries were delicious. She said they change them every week, compliments to the chef for being able to come up with so many great ideas. The citrus milk punch was interesting and worked well. Spinach omelette was good but it definitely lacked meat, glad that my server recommended getting bacon on the side. I can’t wait to try them for dinner.“
“Büna has quickly become one of my favorite cafes of all time. The people who work there are so kind and remember your name and order and work to make your experience enjoyable and catered to you specifically. The food (both Ethiopian and American) is absolutely fantastic. Everything I’ve had has been a slam dunk. I am not someone who orders takeout almost ever and I’ve made an exception for this cafe. I keep coming back for the Ethiopian vegan rolls, fir fir side dish and brunch platter! Wish I could take this place everywhere I go!“
“Customer service is Amazing and the coffee is even better!!! Your missing out if you do not experience this place. One of my favorites!!!!! I live in Upper Marlboro and drive 25-30 minutes to enjoy their Machiato Caramello latte! ?Parking: Meter parkingUsually there is available parking“
“I'm from out of town and found Little Food Studio through a recommendation from a friend. I ordered a Bianca (ham and cheese) with the spicy spread and a cherry blossom lemonade, both of which were VERY delicious. While waiting for the food to be made there were many other customers who came in. I completely understand why this place is rated to highly. Cheap prices, great food, and friendly staff.“
“It’s been 5 years since I last ate here, and it feels like old times today. The breakfast platter taste just like I remembered, the staff is very he beat as always. And they remember me and the melts my heart. #bestbreakfastDC #toptenstaff #“
“We made a reservation at OpenTable for 10:45, but we had to wait until 11:10 to be seated. After the waiter brought the black tea, he still didn’t bring the cup. The meal was less than an hour old. When the waiter saw that we had almost eaten, he kept coming forward to give us hints. We checked out and left (the guests who came earlier than us were still there). For the meal, I ordered cornbread and mushrooms with white sauce. They were both unique and delicious, and the food was served quickly.“
“They cashier is nice the ambiance is great with incense that levitates the room. The barista actually knows how to steam the milk and pull wonderful shots. Support small businesses like this. There is wifi and music playing in the background. Try the Fatira with everything (vegetarian friendly)“
“Was greeted with a friendly face. Ordered with ease. I had an iced horcha-latte and a campo bowl. Food was delicious, could have been a little bit warmer but definitely didn't take away from the taste and experience. I'll definitely be back.“
“This cafe is one of those that opened during or after Covid. It's an Eritrean outfit. Their disposable cups were so lovely that I didn't dispose mine and took it home, rinsed it, and am keeping it. :-) It's expensive though. But then again, everything is expensive now in DC. 'Tis inflation time. The décor is Ethiopian/Eritrean, but not oppressively so. It's a wide open space, not cosy / claustrophobic like Harrer (another Ethio coffee shop).“
“Just around the corner from Jam Doung Style Jamaican food spot is an art and coffee lover's dream that is Creative Grounds DC. This shop is nestled among the historical row houses that make this area of DC quaint and beautiful. Accessibility is accommodating with a ramp just beyond the spacious patio.Inside, plants stand and hang in the bay window where you can drink coffee and draw snuggled on a velvet green couch. New and used books stand in the other bay window while local artists' works hang on the gallery-like walls all around.Inspiration lay on the beautiful long and wide wooden table in the form of thick art books and viney plants enticing you to stay a while and absorb culture and color. While Bob Marley sang about three little birds, I happily pulled out my small sketchbook drawing and sipped on a special lavender and honey with lemon drink, at peace.Should you be a lover of art, DC's unique architecture, and coffee, this is one gorgeous place to visit!Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp is available to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.“
“Lovely little spot with wonderful selection. When you walk in you can smell the freshly baked goods as everything is made here in house. For this trip, I arrived just in time for Pain Suisse ! Imagine flaky layers that crunch when you bite into the Pastry.Wanted to try their pistachio croissant for awhile and today was the day. It does not disappoint... Good balance of pistachio paste and buttery croissant dough.Their cortado is perfectly balance milk-coffee ratio as well!!“
“Went here with vegan friends and we all had the vegetarian sampler. The food was absolutely scrumptious. The staff were gracious and lovely and the atmosphere was very pleasant with really nice music playing. I highly recommend this restaurant! We'll definitely be coming back!“
“Oh my gosh, I just decided to come here on a random day to do work and the staff are amazing. They are so attentive but not in an uncomfortable way and it's really such a nice experience. I have never enjoyed working at a cafe as much as I have enjoyed working at this one today! AMAZING STAFF!!! oh and the drinks are great too :)“
“Went here on a whim with a few friends after dinner. Very cute and cozy shop, for a quick sweet treat. I got the blueberry basil sorbet and pain perdu. The blueberry basil was phenomenal!!! Really tasted like fresh blueberries and the basil was standout. The pain perdu was a little lackluster compared to the sorbet, however it was very creamy and cinnamon forward. I would go back for the sorbet for sure. A con for this shop is that they don’t do any samples which was a big bummer.Vegetarian options: Sorbets and vegan icecream“
“One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. Cozy, neighborhood vibe. Great music (they were playing soft jazz and some tasteful Christmas music around Christmastime which was really vibey). The shot of single-origin espresso I had was lovely. Their vanilla syrup for lattes is also some of the best I've had. Fire ham and cheese croissants too. Non-pretentious staff.“
“So delicious! The pork belly in the mofongo was crispy and juicy. The flan was out of this world, and we were given a couple guava cookies which were soooo good! Our food was also brought out very quickly. Can’t wait to come back!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian mofongo available“
“I always order through the mobile app occasionally through drive thru. Food os always hot and fresh no complaints never had a hard Nugget! I love soggy fries unlike most people but they majority come out crispy. They never forget my sauce either which is pleasant considering the traffic that comes through here. This place gets extremely packed during breakfast and lunch but if you order ahead what I suggest they get the job done is better than waiting longer in line.Parking: Tight spaces very trafficked becarful when front parking! Backing up into traffic is worry some“
