“Really good and different! Had the short-rib pastrami and it was fantastic!! Great taste, perfect texture, and the mustard sauce was the perfect compliment. Their house pickled veggies added a really nice touch. The deviled eggs are not to be missed! Smoky, but not overbearingly so. The wife had the pastrami spiced portobello and was very impressed. Guys in the truck were super nice and very patient. They were out front of Baby Cat brewery in Kensington the day we went by. Will be keeping track of where they're going to be - will definitely return!!“

“I’ve ordered from them many times and every time the food is amazing. I’ll usually switch between the Caesar salad, a build your own bbq bowl, and the sausage tacos as my main dishes. All of which I love. Their fried pickles are usually pretty good though a little on the softer side and I just had the mozzarella sticks today and it came with a wing sauce that tasted, not just felt, spicy but not overpoweringly so. They were firm enough that I’m not choking on cheese but soft enough that it didn’t feel like I was biting into a cheese stick. They were some of the best mozzarella sticks I’ve had in a while. I will have to actually go in to the restaurant at some point instead of always ordering delivery. 😁“

“We stopped in for lunch after my Daughter's Gymnastics Competition this morning! The staff were Awesome! She was still in her gear and medals from the Competition and everyone was saying congratulations to her! This absolutely made my 9 year olds day even more special, when they brought her a tray with desert and congratulations on your great day written on the paper! “I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

“We are from Buffalo NY down here on vacation. The host was absolutely amazing we sat at a high top by the bar and he came over and offered to move us to a bigger table so we had more room!! The bartender was our server and he was so attentive and on top of everything. They had a large school party that had about 50 people in it and they did not let that slow them down at all. At the end of that party we ended up speaking with one of the owners and he was so nice! We ended up finding out the host had family from where we are from and that was awesome! The food was amazing, portions were huge! Moral of the story the whole staff was amazing the food came out with perfect timing even with the huge party. Pricing, food, friendliness all worth it here they were amazing“

We called The Falls, spoke to Kelly and she was super helpful, communicative and helped with everything from how much food would be appropriate for our size event and how many staff would be recommended. We had our annual Santa party with 190 people and everyone was super impressed with the food quality, the attentive staff and how friendly and courteous they were. “The BBQ here is exceptional! You might think going to a BBQ spot would be all heavy meats but not the case here. The dish I had was their special grilled salmon burger with blueberry BBQ sauce, I cannot even begin to explain how delicious it was! As well as the smoked then fried wings. Probably the best wings in the city! They were also exceptionally hospitable in providing vegan options for a friend, and accommodating an 8 person walk-in party with little to no wait time. Just note the specials sell out quickly so I recommend going on the earlier side.

Vegetarian options: They were able to accommodate a friend who only eats vegan food, I wouldn't say they have a lot of options, but a couple of good choices despite being known for smoked meats.“

“I went there today for a nice lunch date and I requested to get all the food gluten free. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about what was gluten free on the menu and made sure to bring out the salads and explain which one was which. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the pargiyot skewer but was not personally a fan of the lam kebab flavor. When the waiter came over and asked how everything was, I told him everything was great. He saw I had not eaten the lamb and asked me about it. Im not a complainer so I said it just wasn’t my taste. Well, when we brought us the check, he only charged us for the pargiyot and comped the lamb! I am blown away by my experience at Al Ha’esh. Excellent customer service and food! 👍“

“I've been going to Hogs on the Hill for years. I always get the Wild Combo and it comes with pulled pork, minced beef, ribs, chicken, corn bread, and 2 sides. You can't beat that. It is now $19.95 for a small which is plenty of food. Their prices haven't changed much over the years.“

I’ve ordered two rib dinners with collards, pork & beans, and Cornbread with pepper jelly. The beans I could do without, my mother liked the beans. Everything else was Good Eats!“

My first reaction was confusion as to the combo, but after realizing that I and many other people like both, I asked no further questions and followed my grumbling stomach. I am VERY glad that I did! Atmosphere is sparce and simple. You go in, get your food, and find a place to eat it, but it feels appropriate for this style of food- equal parts bbq shack and boba stand. I got the brisket sandwich, which was a very generous portion of supremely tender BBQ with a complimentary sauce and even a bottle of water which seems to just come with the order (nice touch). The stand out to me was how tender the brisket was. Packed with flavor, and not a single bite was remotely dry. The cinnamon toast Boba was delicious and a fantastic compliment. The staff friendly and attentive. Please support this place!!!“

“It’s a way fancier version of Kpot but for the same price. Decorations were chic and modern. Meat and seafood are high quality. Lunch is an amazing deal given that it’s $28/person for AYCE bbq, hot pot, and buffet. Did I mention the buffet had crab legs and crawfish? It was a lot of variety for food. Service was exceptional. Shout out to Andy for being so attentive, great with our kids, and making sure we had a good experience.

Parking: There’s limited parking in front, but a lot of parking in the back. There’s a garage that you can park in for free.

Kid-friendliness: Kids under four are free! Lots of kid friendly food options. The fries are bomb.“

“This is a great Korean BBQ and Hot Pot restaurant; the service was great; the sauces were good; the raw foods were prepared in a very well manner. The cost of the meal vs current prices as a good bargain. We had a Saturday night dinner service and it was a short wait at the bar and we got our table. The staff was friendly. The only downsides were the bar area was right as you walk in and it seemed an afterthought. The place was loud with everything going on so not a romantic setting.“
