“Our waiter, Caleb, was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the dishes were interesting and unique. We were a party of 7, sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The pacing of all the dishes coming out was perfect. The only downside was that there was a man with a really large dog seated right next to us and the dog barked and whined (so loudly we could not hear each other) and it smacked into our chairs repeatedly. Once the man left things improved and we had a great experience.“

The cook (who was the only one working there as you can order with the ipad) was nice and the place was clean and cozy. We went at an off-peak time so we were able to sit at the counter but I imagine that during lunch rush it must mostly be for takeout as there are few seats. Also I don't think they had a bathroom as I looked around for one and didn't see it. It wasn't an emergency situation though so did not ask to use one.“

That hotpot was smokin and I thought I choose a milder one but it was excellent in taste for me. The food was delicious, bubble tea flavors and pearls were fresh and simple. I would say it leans more toward an America flavor pallet depending on your selection but Im sure there are some sophisticated options if that's where your pallet tends to lean.

I got the chai latte light sugar&ice and my hubby greatly enjoyed Starla's PineappleMango suggestion. So yummy, so fun.

I love the bright decor and semi-exclusive dining options; certainly would love to meet the family here during an outing.

The bathroom was super clean and had a large mirror great for freshening up.

Certainly would recommend for DC visitors.

I got the Lucky dumpling back. Personal favorite of the bunch was the black Truffle so I know next visit which basket I'll lean more toward.

✨️BONUS: Their bowl, cups and utensil charger had a very elegant weight to them which was incredibly comforting and added a coziness to the experience.

I ordered the veggie lo mein (lunch) I didn’t expect it to be so small and shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce with would the normal lunch size. The flavors were there, but could be spicer. “This is another Peter Chang location - so if you are familiar with the DC dining scene, you can already guess: this place is fantastic. The decor makes it look a little fast casual, but the food is phenomenal. Possible the best mala (numbing spice) I have ever had.

All of the dishes I've tried are very fresh and aromatic, especially regarding the oils and sauces. It is very apparent that all the ingredients are of good quality. In DC, a good atmosphere indicator on whenever a Chinese restaurant has props with their chops is when I hear locals speak Chinese, with tourists, locals, and Americans. Four stars!“

We were so excited to finally find a chinese restaurant that is somewhat formal and provide good quality ingredients! I'm super picky with my meat (the , but the fresh meat, vegetables, and other ingredients truly satisfy my particular self. They never disappoint with the quality of the food and the temperature! We have tried at least 80% of their menu items, including the AYCE lunch menus, and our go-to items are: pan seared shrimp dumplings, dragon garlic spicy eggplants, singapore curry noodles, shrimp lo mein, spicy dry fried bamboo fish, numbing green peppercorn flounder, sesame chicken (it's online, not in the menu), and spicy kong pao chicken. The waitstaff and manager are all so nice in addition to the great food! We will continue to go back and we're so happy people are finding a good quality chinese food!“

This visit, we tried the Hunan flounder special, and wow. The flounder was incredibly fresh — succulent, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The Hunan sauce it came with was bold, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. I’m genuinely excited to post the pictures because we were too busy enjoying the food to do it justice in the moment.

As always, the hot and sour soup hits every single time. The spring rolls are amazing, the egg rolls are amazing, and the spicy shrimp dumplings are out of this world. There is not a single miss on the menu.

And the service? Truly unmatched. The bartending and hospitality here are exceptional. Ms. Lin and Jenny is also absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and consistently wonderful. The staff makes you feel like family, not just customers.

I’ve been coming to Foo Lin for over 20 years, and I can honestly say it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I will never love another place the way I love this one. The food, the service, the consistency — it’s all just incredible.

“This is my second time trying out CHIKO. First time I tried it at DuPont was several years ago and I had a great experience.

Overall, everything we ordered was really good. The lime cooler drink was especially refreshing and a great balance to the meal. One thing worth noting is that their “small plates” are actually quite generous in portion. The chilled noodles remain a standout for me!

I also tried the cumin lamb stir fry, which had great flavor, but it leaned a bit too heavy on the shallots for my taste. Still enjoyable overall.

If you have the option, I’d recommend going to DuPont location as it has better vibes and atmosphere. But this location might be more accessible.“

Their miso soup is very rich but not overly salty, which can be difficult to find, yet it is here daily and for a good price.
