“This spot on H St Corridor is hands down my favorite. The drinks, service, and food consistently impress. The ambiance is wonderfully moody with dim lighting and great background music. I always opt for the vegan version of the beef noodles, which are consistently flavorful and delicious. The bartenders are not only friendly but also knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. I appreciate that they maintain an accessible archive of past menus, allowing guests to order from a wide range of drink options. Despite its small size and the place sometimes getting crowded, outdoor seating and an extra bar on the back patio provide additional space.“
“I always come here for the bao bei buns which are Taiwanese gua bao. It has a nice pork belly filling with pickled vegetables and sweet peanuts. It’s perfect when eaten warm and fresh and would highly recommend you to get it! There is no seating though and they work out of a warehouse by the way.“
“This is intelligent and well thought-out food that is delivered with kindness and engagement. Truffle dumplings with a corn foam were genius. Terrific vegetarian drunken noodles. And silken tofu in a complex fermented black-bean broth that made me see through time. My wife's cocktail had a tiny touch of a Chinese cough syrup in it, which sounds funky and was, instead, kinda transcendent! We sat at the bar and watched the passionate precision of the kitchen. Bartender was super friendly. Great evening that we hope to repeat soon. Keep up the great work!!“
“We came in for lunch yesterday. Served was super helpful with recommendations! The rainbow soup dumplings was 2 of each of their soup dumplings which were all amazing! We also loved the cucumber in garlic sauce. My friend loved the Chongqing noodles! They are a nice vegetarian option with a tasty sauce served with boiled peanuts and a fried egg. We also had the spicy oil wontons. They were very good although I did end up dabbing some of the oil off. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things!!“
“We were craving spicy noodles and this place didn't disappoint. The Chongqing noodles were spicy and full of peanuts, the cold noodles my colleague ordered were full of vegetables. We also tried the spicy pork soup dumplings and the normal pork soup dumplings and both were great. I especially loved the chili oil on the table.“

“The Dim Sum at Han Palace is SO AMAZING!!! It’s definitely holds the top spot for Dim Sum in DC for me — and judging by the looooooooong wait to get a table ??, a lot of other people in DC agree!!Unfortunately, Han Palace doesn’t accept reservations. So, if you’re going (regardless of how early) be prepared to have anything between a 10 - 45 minute wait. Luckily their team takes your phone number and calls you once a table’s available… So, my friend and I went across the road and grabbed a drink while waiting.Their Dim Sum was really authentic and bursting with flavour. We had the Pork Ribs with Garlic, Shrimp and Chive Dumplings, Crab Meat Dumplings and one of my ABSOLUTE favourites the Purple Gold Yolk Bun (Lai Wong Bao).Looking forward to going back and sampling more of their beautiful cocktails, and food from their main menu!!“

“We’ve been here many times and each time has been a great experience. The food is always delicious and huge in portion, and the service has been really good. We never have to wait very long for the food, and we always have leftovers to bring home. I definitely recommend this place.“
“Dim sum is brought out from the kitchen rather than served from steam carts going around the restaurant. As for the taste and quality, they depend on what item you order. I liked the bean curd roll and the shrimp stuffed tofu but the fried chive dumplings were gummy. Prices start at $5.25 per order and go up to over $10. The service was pleasant but weekends are extremely busy here.“

“The lunch specials are great! Had the twice cooked pork, the spicy ribs, and the cold spicy chicken dish ( I forgot the take pictures of all of them, which is usually a good sign). Not busy on a Friday and free parking in the building (for under 2 hours). I want to go back and try the fish dishes. Great service and very attentive waiters.“
“I am working my way through the menu and got a delivery order for dinner - this time I tried a variety of vegetarian and meat dishes - I recommend starting off with a soup, the shrimp winton soup was delicate, comforting on a cold night. The crispy beef had great sauce but the beef did not stay crispy like I expected. Dan dan noodles were the perfect texture and temperature but didn't come with a sauce as pictured. The pan fried bao had rich pork filing, good texture and a crispy underside. Mapo tofu, again great flavor but I was expecting some texture to the dish besides the tender silky tofu. Excellent spice level.“
“Vegetarian options: I placed an order online for delivery and for holy week my family and I aren't eating meat so I put in the instructions no chicken and the lady called me to make sure she got my order right and she even changed my egg roll to a veggis ones without me even telling her witch I loved cause she went out her way to make sure I had no meat in my order! “Dear Diary - This is one of my favorite convenient hotpots in the area. Using their iPad to order your items, they often come to the table very quickly. They do have a serving robot mainly handling drinks/dessert orders which makes it pretty efficient as they can focus on other tasks. Love the efficiency and the various soup base flavors that are offered.“
“Tasty Dumpling is a top tier quick dumpling place to get your Asian dumpling fix - I’d argue their dumplings are better than some fancy restaurants! Their steamed dumplings especially the pork are fantastic. We will be back often to try the whole menu. “A first time hot pot experience to remember for me! We ordered the unlimited which basically just means a buffet style toppings area while the meat is brought to the table (up to three plates at a time for the meat). I really like the concept of splitting the broth and getting “the best of both worlds”, so we did the spicy and the original. For our meat, we did garlic marinated beef, chicken, and beef short plate. So good! As far as toppings— where do I start? Veggies: Napa cabbage, corn, broccoli, sweet potato, potato. Noodles: vermicelli and a thicker noodle. Mushrooms and tofu. So many toppings I just didn’t have room to try, but would love to on a future trip here!“

“Amazing!!!! I finally got the proper vegan Kung Pao experience. Tasted just like I remembered it! Sooo many vegan options, so cool to have an entirely vegetarian Chinese restaurant.What I love is the balance between fake meat options and whole food, vegetable & tofu options.The Kung Pao special had tofu, amazing, unique mushrooms & vegan meat - the perfect combination & love not having to commit to one! Love that they include plenty of peppers/vegetables with it.Delicious sweet & sour ‘chicken’ and sauce. Wonton soup. Can’t wait to try more!Lovely, nice people. Excellent, quick service. “Isshin has one of the BEST service in Adams Morgan. May is the woman who always helps me. I think she’s the manager. She keeps that place running swiftly and smoothly. During the pandemic, Isshin made every effort to keep their place sanitized and customers safe by using PPE and placing hand sanitizers all around. The staff works super fast to get meals ready for you. They always go above and beyond to offer excellent service. I had to order spicy shrimp rice and I was going to arrive close to closing time, May kept Isshin open until I arrived (5 mins late) to pick up my food. I only live 3 blocks away but once I was not able to pick up my food from Isshin. May immediately said, “if you live close, I’ll deliver for you.” And she did just that and as usual with a very pleasant demeanor and genuine smile. May and her team at Isshin make this restaurant one of the best in Adams Morgan. Thank you May and Isshin!!!“
“This is the closest place you'll get the Szechuan food in Maryland. I came to Bob's Shanghai and ordered a lot of the Szechuan based menu. First order the beef tendon which had plenty of heat, personally there was a too much black pepper for me. Still was plenty tasty with a gelatinous texture. Secondly had some of their soup dumplings and it was great. Not as much soup as I would like, but there was plenty of flavor. For those who don't know what soup dumplings are, soup dumplings are essentially dumplings which have soup in them. They come out piping hot so you really want to watch out before you bite into these. We also ordered the pork belly stir fried in vegetable and Szechuan sauce. This was the highlight of the whole trip. The stir-fry consisted of plenty of garlic, bamboo shoots, green pepper, spring onion, and Szechuan peppers. The fatty pork belly and combination of vegetables really gave a nice touch. Lastly I ordered the Dan Dan noodles which were terrible. They were dry tasteless and not worth getting. Considering Szechuan is one of my favorite food styles, I usually go to Philly in order to get my Szechuan fixing. For now this place will do the job“
“We have been coming to Jin River for spicy Chinese foods since 2015. Great location, next to the block, right by Rockville town center area.Their dishes spices are not the spiciest but the SiChuan flavor is authentic. From meats to fish to all sorts of Chinese pastries are all very delicious. Also don’t forget to try their smoked duck meat, one of my favorite.The customer service has always being friendly and attentive. Pricing is reasonable.The restaurant has been here forever, but it does not seem like any renovation has been done on it, so looks dated both inside and outside.There are plenty parkings out front and around, BE AWARE, only the ones right in front of the restaurant with no pay parking signs are free.Others are all pay to park.Do recommend by @winedinenvacay“

You will miss this gem if you don't look carefully...you go in through the back...when we walked eyes were on us because it was all Asian customers and they thought we were door dash ! We told them we would like to be seated, they said sit anywhere. We saw some amazing meals coming out the kitchen that I asked the server what somebody else had and that's what I ordered without disappointment!!! Deliciousness is all I can describe it as!!! The wife ordered Singapore noodles which she loved...this is one of the best Asian food spot I've had since coming to md! Give it a try and remember I told you so!!“

The crispy beef had a tangy flavor, and actually was crispy. The vegetables were a great accompaniment. The chicken and cilantro dumplings had a great flavor, and the spicy sauce was the perfect addition. The general tso's was overall good but could have been more flavorful/crispy. Their Chinese options taste fantastic, although I miss their Japanese options which recently went away under new management. Highlights include crab rangoons, kung pao chicken, and hot and sour soup. Our total time spent was 2.5 hours for 5 people (ended up having to pay for parking - 2hrs free). My friends never experienced this in their previous visits.We spoke with manager and he was very friendly and apologetic - kindly taking 50% off our bill and offering deserts and cocktails.Probably one unlucky visit - so I will be visiting again.“

“Ok - so I've honestly turned my nose up at this place in recent years because it feels like people love it for the novelty (it's in a Days Inn motel) and not the food. But real talk, I ordered the cumin lamb, and I put in the notes: "I AM ASIAN PLEASE MAKE VERY SPICY" - and Panda Gourmet delivered. I was hurting, and it was so good. Their cumin lamb was so flavorful and sooooo spicy. It honestly rivals Bobs Shanghai in Rockville (which is very high praise because I'm obsessed with theirs). Panda Gourmet's mapo tofu is a lil weak, but next time, I'll put the same note on it too and maybe they'll kick it up a notch.“

“I nearly always get fried tofu. It is fabulous, for a meal or snacking. It sounds simple, it is and it is delicious. My other favorites: the spring vegetable rolls and the vegetable fried rice are great too. The rice has big pieces of fresh vegetables in it. “About time I review CHIKO. They recently reopened Barracks Row location for inside dining, and I’m thrilled. I’ve been coming here pretty regularly since they opened back in 2017, and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots in DC. I usually wouldn't order wings and fries at a Chinese place but now I will be every time I can! The mambo sauce is a game changer! The wings and fries are crispy and delicious. “Had great lunch at this place. First I saw the sign and wondered what "Chinese burger" was. But when I looked at photos on Yelp, I learned that this place has noodles and rice bowls and I decided to go. You can order at the counter or on the touch screen by yourself. I did the latter. Tbh the restaurant name is misleading, because they really don't have burgers. They only had a sandwich with pork. Majority of the items on the menu seemed to be noodle dishes. After scrolling menu pages many times, I ordered braised pork rice bowl and dumplings. Food took about 15 minutes. But then they gave me a sandwich although I ordered a rice bowl. So I had to wait a little more while eating dumplings. Dumplings were nice and juicy. Hot. The sauce that came with them was good. The rice bowl was Ah-mazing. I added free toppings: onion, green pepper and cilantro. The eggs were the best. I should have paid for extra eggs. The braised pork was so flavorful and juicy. A lot of rice. O recommended it for anyone who's very hungry. It's a smaller restaurant, and not suitable for groups of 5 and more, but it is perfect for solo diners and small groups. Will go back.“
“During our recent visit to our son in Falls Church, VA, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at TNR Cafe, a Chinese restaurant recommended by our son. He often frequents this establishment, so we decided to try it out. We ordered a few dishes for takeout, and we were blown away by the incredible flavors and perfect cooking. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were light and crispy, the Taiwanese-style Rice Noodles were delicious, and the Sauteed Lo Mein with Vegetables was flavorful and satisfying. The Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken were also standouts, with tender and succulent meat in both dishes. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in Arlington, VA.“

Both were packed with flavor. The chili sauce on the table was spicy enough to bring one single tear to my eye, perfect. Wish it wasn't cash only and that they had some music playing so it wasn't so quiet, but overall great experience and would recommend.“
