“I have been to this place about 10 years ago by one of my golf members who was an army veteran. My back ground is culinary/hospitality industry and was so impressed by service and also food quality.. His family and my family celebrated our special occasions every year. Now, we are coming back here again on August 27th to celebrate his 68th wedding anniversary and their 90years birthday also. This is his wife's pick and I and he are excited for next week event.“

“Me and my husband had the most amazing time. You can tell they care about you and your experience. We have ordered the restaurant week menu and it didn't disappoint. This place restored my hope for DC restaurants. Hidden gem and i want them to stay that way. Not everyone have good taste Humberto was amazing, so as the owner. Very genuine and humble. Honestly i cannot pinpoint which course was the best. What i know for sure is the steak was so unforgettable . Next time i am gonna go all out and try their tasting menu. “My favorite place to dine at Rio. This place is always packed, so pack some patience if you have to wait. I enjoy their house beers- especially the House IPA, House Lager and House Golden Pilsner. For appetizers, can’t go wrong with their poke nachos, probably their signature dish. Other favorites are their wings and Jumbo pretzels.

The menu is huge so there is something for everyone. My favorites are the Lobster Garlic Noodles, Stacked Turkey Club, Cobb salads and cheesesteak.

Their happy hour deals are pretty good. They do have a waitlist you can join on their app. Hard to believe this used to be a Romano’s Macaroni Grill.“

“Start to finish our experience was excellent. When we arrived for our reservation time we needed to add two more people. They were kind enough to accommodate us even though they were busy. Our server Patrick was terrific. He made food suggestions that were spot on. He kept checking on us throughout the brunch. Food came out of the kitchen quickly. Everything was delicious and everyone in my large group was super happy. So few places can accommodate a large group and make all these things happen. I can't say enough good things about Patrick except I will be asking for him next time.“

“Again, a fabulous dinner at District Bistro. Because it was Valentine's Day, there was a fixed-price menu: $65 for three courses. I started with the 1/2 dozen oysters (a treat!) and my partner had the house-smoked salmon with caviar. Both were delicious, but the salmon was a special surprise, topped with thinly sliced kumquats and capers; it was an unexpected taste sensation! I chose scallops for my main course--I almost always get them here, and they never disappoint. They were perfectly cooked and served over a warm black lentil salad. My partner chose the lamb chops that came with a tasty harissa-eggplant sauce. They were tender and cooked just right--a little pink in the center. For dessert, I had the kumquat and pistachio creme brulee. I wasn't sure about my choice, but it ended up being delightful. The creme was rich, but not too heavy and the crust on the top was caramelized perfectly. My husband had pear pecan sticky pudding--yum. We had been tempted to go elsewhere for Valentine's Day because District Bistro tends to be our go-to. I am glad we didn't!!“

“In my 50 yrs of living on this earth, and have traveled abroad and tried many different places…my experience at The Dabney has been by far the best I’ve experienced. Everyone from host to chefs made me feel like a star. The bar staff, servers, the atmosphere, and the chefs!!! Top tier and would highly recommend!!! Not only was the service excellent…talk about hospitality on a 100! But the FOOD!!! I mean I would’ve been a happy camper just on the drinks from the bar (gotta try the FORWARD drink!! Whew!) and the service alone, but the FOOD?! We were treated to a five course, and every single bite, morsel that I tasted sent every bit of my taste buds to heaven!! “A lovely space all hours of the day. I’ve been before for dinner and made it there this morning to do some work and breakfast.

The upstairs feels like a cozy chateau, the fireplace blazing and plentiful seating options. People are sharing tables, putting coats on the rack, chatting, and typing away.

I sat near an outlet and wifi was quick and easy to log on to. Latte and bagel were fabulous and they brought both to my table.

I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can use their outdoor space once again!“

Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. My partner ordered the Maui Pineapple Chicken, which was also quite delicious. The dining environment was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended!“

“This restaurant, since it opened, has been one of the most consistently excellent in the entire WDC area, and a favorite of mine. The oysters are the best available, the wine list is outstanding and quite international, and the food is always cooked to perfection--but it is expensive, just plan on that. I had Chilean seabass (very $$$) and my guest had a salad (all of their salads are original and terrific) and their wonderful New England clam chowder (which could use a bit more bacon, as another restaurant in town does....) And this is the only restaurant in Washington where I ALWAYS have dessert, their mini-triple creme brulees -- superb! Finally, we had a new waiter, Alex, who was simply the best, most knowledgeable and thoughtful I've experienced in Washington this year. Amazing, keep him!“

Today I ordered a door dash pick up which was accidentally sent to the DC location. The Bethesda manager was super helpful and accommodating and they actually helped me out and switched the order! Our bartender, Reefa, recommended a couple different tequilas and ended up serving us a few dangerously delicious mango margaritas. We felt well taken care of and attended to even with how busy it was, and left impressed with the level of service in a packed bar. Safe to say, we’ll be back very soon“

“Great food and service, but disappointed that they have been out of AC for two months. They need to tell their customers at the door before they are seated. Not right especially if customers have respiratory issues. Some in the restaurant that day were experiencing discomfort Stay away from the Rockville Location until they fix the AC“
