“I love the atmosphere of this place. When you enter La Cosecha, you’re welcomed by a variety of restaurants and small local businesses — it feels vibrant and creative.
But I’m focusing on Café Unido, because this coffee comes from my home country, Panama. So every time I’m in Washington, I have to stop by.

The space is filled with beautiful natural light coming through the large windows facing the street — perfect for enjoying a slow moment with a cup of coffee. The aroma and flavor are exactly what I expect from good Panamanian coffee: rich, smooth, and full of character.

I believe they could take even more advantage of how special it is to have a Panamanian coffee franchise in Washington — it deserves to be highlighted and promoted more. I truly hope they open more locations around the city so more people can experience it.

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! “I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“

Got a Iced Caramel Latte and a chocolate muffin and 2 samosas.
It was so good!
Then saw someone recommend Fetira with honey so I got that and another Latte.
Fetira with honey is so good. Reminds me of a Korean sweet pancake. ?
Atmosphere is also amazing and staff was so nice.

They also have an ATM, hookah, ria money transfer available.

“I was in a training near the 15th Street location of Zeke’s. Found it the first morning and went back every day. Shared my experience with others and we all loved it. A local was amazed at her coffee and will be a regular now. The employees were so kind and remembered my order every single day. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Quality coffee. Friendly employees. Great prices.“

“I had French toast breakfast platter and husband had the pancakes. The portion sizes, taste, and quality were excellent. Stopped here coming home from DC and I would definitely return if I'm ever in this area. The customer service was amazing and our eggs were actually cooked over medium correctly. “As a Central Asian who grew up with a similar culture and cuisine, I can confidently say this is the best Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve ever visited.

We sat at the bar, where the two bartenders provided great service.

The dishes were creatively presented and rich in diverse flavors. The Pita with Mushrooms and Hummus was our favorite.

The Frozen Halva Bar is, without a doubt, the most unique and delicious dessert I’ve ever tried. The combination of chocolate ganache, sesame, and halva ice cream blended perfectly. Thank you, pastry Chef, Evyn.“

“The chai here is outstanding; possibly the best in the DC metro area. You can taste the ginger and cardamom, and there's a hint of heat. It's great! Someone said the concentrate is Metolius, which tracks, because that's one of my favorites, but it's rare to find in the East Coast. It's phenomenal. I do wish they had almond milk in addition to oat and soy (and whole), but this chai is so good, I'll take it however I can get it. And they filled my to-go cup with no issues. The parking is a little tight, FYI.“

“I had a fantastic experience at this Starbucks on Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE! The staff here are truly awesome – friendly, welcoming, and always ready to make your drink just the way you like it. One of my favorite features of this location is the conference room. It’s such a great option if you need a quiet space for a quick meeting, study session, or just to get work done. “A pretty cool blank canvas space. The only thing for me is it would be amazing if the vip area had its own bathroom. Overly priced drinks. Price to value for event I did not feel was met. I would opt out of a vip ticket here because it really does not get you anything worthwhile at this venue“

I have tried twice to use it but the second time I focused on accurately adding the amount of sugar I wanted but it didn't go through because the barista served my coffee with no sugar and looking at the receipt it didn't have any sugar amount. She begrudgingly added the sugar for me.The coffee is always tasty.“
