“It’s convenient right next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Took us 2 minutes to get there. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes great and made well and fast. The ladies there are very nice and helpful. I got the French toast and bacon and an orange juice from the cooler. And they had fresh fruit which was very sweet and delicious. My friend got the waffles with eggs and bacon and fruit and orange juice. If I lived here I’d go there a lot. Love the small places ❤️“

“I love the atmosphere of this place. When you enter La Cosecha, you’re welcomed by a variety of restaurants and small local businesses — it feels vibrant and creative.
But I’m focusing on Café Unido, because this coffee comes from my home country, Panama. So every time I’m in Washington, I have to stop by.

The space is filled with beautiful natural light coming through the large windows facing the street — perfect for enjoying a slow moment with a cup of coffee. The aroma and flavor are exactly what I expect from good Panamanian coffee: rich, smooth, and full of character.

I believe they could take even more advantage of how special it is to have a Panamanian coffee franchise in Washington — it deserves to be highlighted and promoted more. I truly hope they open more locations around the city so more people can experience it.

“My wife and I visit regularly. We've never had a bad Café Miel. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere has been home to many wonderful conversations. We enjoy the food as well. Highly recommend!“

“I stopped into this pie shop and walked out with an armful of treats, absolutely no regrets.

I tried the chocolate pecan pie first, and honestly, it should come with a warning label. Rich, gooey, perfectly nutty, and just dangerous enough to make you consider rearranging your entire diet around it.

The steak, mushroom, and cheese pie was pure comfort food magic. Flaky crust, savory filling, and that melty cheese situation? Trust me, it’s the kind of pie that makes you close your eyes for a second just to process the happiness.

And yes, I also grabbed some Berger cookies, because self-control is overrated. Thick icing, soft cookie, somehow both nostalgic and decadent at the same time.

We saw the great reviews for Sylvan cafe and decided to stop in.
I got a Chai latte and veggie omelet which were affordable and very tasty! I’d highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area“

“This H st location is smaller than the Wharf so it can get slammed so recommend you get there early and have patience. The food is fresh and delicious and worth the hype. We have gone to this location twice now, and both experiences were so special I felt compelled to write something. First off, Kevin, a rather tall host is a special person. Even with a busy crowd, he took the time to go the extra mile, ensuring we had the extra energy to preparing our seating to accommodate our needs. He did it with such delight, it's rare to see someone help with their heart and not just because they have too. Due to a few special needs, food preparation is key. Cheers to the chefs, some folks we did not meet, but big thanks to Charles, our waiter. He ensured everything was correct, THE FIRST TIME! We do not get to eat out that often, for a variety of reasons, but this location made us feel special and welcoming and most important, gave us that sense we could trust them to care for us. Again, big props to management for hiring people like Kevin and Charles, and creating an atmosphere that you want to return too, even if you have a family with many different types of needs.“

“After reading reviews for Food for Thought, thought we would give it a try. OMG! This is my kind of place! Not only was the wait staff knowledgeable and friendly, the service was beyond compare! And the food...exeptional! I had the pitischo parm encrusted chicken with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My husband had the Angus cheeseburger and beet salad. Both were wonderful! Did I mention the rolls and cornbread? Yummy! And the cherry on top was the trivia/discussion cards on each table (not to mention the biographies and quotes that served as wall decor.)
