“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“

“Come here to work once a week! The food is phenomenal but the service is always great. I love the manager, she’s such a true part of DC being a native and just a real authentic soul. She makes the experience 10+ betters wouldn’t come if it wasn’t for her.“

“I ordered a cake for my son’s first birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! Wendy went above and beyond. It was clear she put a lot of care and attention into the cake. The cake was not only beautiful but also incredibly delicious. It was a big hit at the birthday party, and many guests complimented how tasty it was. Thank you so much for helping make my son’s first birthday so special. I highly recommend Morning My Day to anyone looking for a perfect cake for their celebrations!!“

“My two kids and I go here almost ever Sunday. The croissants are a huge hit with the kids and I'm obsessed with their Farro Salad (the dressing is very similar to mole sauce). Lattes are quite delicious as well.
Pricing is surprisingly reasonable for Georgetown which is a nice plus.
I really wish they would open a location at the Village Green in Crofton, MD. It would be a huge hit there and I have family that would like to see it there.
Some weekends it just gets too busy but I've only decided to give up once or twice. The host is honest about the wait (if there is one) - up to you if can handle the wait they give you.
Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu and offerings BUT we tend to just pick pastries from the counter. This is the better way to go because it is about all they can eat and there is always some decadent morsel for me to hoover up when they get full.“

“Amazing place, all four visits have been delicious, and incredible. The dishes are so beautiful they could be in magazines…. But they’re far better in my belly! I absolutely love this place, heading there for the fifth time later today 😊“

“This is one of my favorite places in Arlington. The menu changes often, providing fresh options to try. I've had the duck and rabbit dishes for dinner and loved both. I also highly recommend the steak tartare, and definitely save room for dessert—you won't be disappointed!“

“It felt like a beautiful fall afternoon. Where only a cup of mocha would make it better. I walked to a quaint coffee house at a corner of two roads in a V, across trees in orange and red. 8 green chairs and 2 brown benches put up in small circles under a canopy. There was a cute patio with string lights across, allowing just enough warm sunlight through horizontal patterns. Plants breathing in as they had been there forever. Murmurs and faint conversations followed.
I opened a glass door to enter as a bell above me rang. There were 3 baristas behind a counter creating art , soaking in some music. There was a huge menu on a chalk wall which I chose not to read. I knew what I wanted.
I walked to the girl with a huge smile behind a billing screen on the other side of the counter,
“I feel special”, I said.
“We have these 3 special drinks available today”, she said.
I looked at the 3 drinks and it just didn’t click.
“Do you like Matcha”, she asked.
“I like matcha”, I answered.
“We have a matcha inspired tea.”
“I like tea, but today feels like a coffee kind of fall afternoon. Can you make me a mocha?!”, I asked.
“Hmmm… Let’s get you a special Mocha! Maybe a baklava latte but fused for chocolate”
I liked what was going on in an artist’s head. Today felt special. I wanted that original piece. I wanted this artist’s monalisa.
The Baristas – an ensemble of 3 – had a quick discussion. They ran thru the flavor profile of this new drink. With precision, he blended coffee, with oat milk & chocolate. I stood by and watched, my drink being made with special detail. And to finish it my drink had a latte art specialist. I breathed in anticipation.
They placed my mug on a glass counter.
“Here is your drink, let us know how you like it.”
I carefully threaded the coffee mug with two hands to my lips & took a sip.
“It tastes like a beautiful fall afternoon”“

“YouEBe Cafe in DC is one of those places you just want to hang out in. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, with a mix of modern and homey decor that makes you feel right at ease. Think soft lighting, comfy chairs, and cool artwork on the walls. It's the kind of spot where you can easily spend a couple of hours catching up with friends, getting some work done, or just enjoying some “me time.”“

“An excellent spot for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. They offer a great selection of pastries and egg dishes, and the coffee is very good. We had breakfast here for two days in a row and enjoyed everything we tried, except for the blueberry muffin, which was a bit too dry for my taste. The croissants, tarts, sandwiches, and shakshuka were all delicious.“

“Was there on Labor Day late morning. Very busy but found a nearby parking spot and a good table. All good except our salad entrees were both over dressed (too much dressing) . Reminder to get dressing on side. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. All good. Will come back soon.“

“I like this environment very much, it allows me to work quietly. A cafe that pays attention to the environment and the quality of the coffee is good, I believe they will get better and better in the future. Reviews from Arlington residents.“

“Highly recommend!! Am a biggg fan of their iced lattes (they use the best crunchy ice and great coffee) and friends have said great things about their chai! For non-coffee oriented people, they have a large selection of juices and smoothies available, as well as various pastries and snacks!
The vibes and atmosphere are also so comforting-- The baristas have always been very warm and kind, and will remember you if you come back more than once! Have also seen the owner in quite often, but still aspiring to meet Lulu one day!
They have a selection of imported goods like Nablus soap, small Palestinian crafts from local artists, and a shelf of dog treats and other items for dog-owners! The cafe is also dog friendly and has water for dogs out and about this summer!
I've never had any problems getting a seat indoors to sit or work (they do have wifi!) but if you have a larger party (like 7+), they also have a decently sized back patio with a nice mural and more outdoor seating out front!
Other perks: free fruit-infused water, community billboard (has info on various pro-Palestine actions), nice decor + art + music, and ATM!
Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible; the front entrance requires going up a set of 10 or so stairs“

“First off, plant people are the best people.
Second, that lox sandwich may have nee one of the best I've ever had.
Third, for getting slammed with low staff, they were champs.

“Got an iced rose lasendar latte with oat milk and the Yerevan's Trio. The latte had dried rose petal and lavendar in it, which looked really cool and gave some extra flavor.
I saw folks mentioned it's too expensive for the portions, but most similar quality cafes in this area are priced about the same.“

“Wow! Now I understand why people were in and out of this place. The quality of the pie is very good! They have savory pies and sweet pies. They also have quiche. $9-12 for a slice and $40+ for the entire pie. Fair for the quality/quantity in my opinion. I had the apple crumble. Just perfect for me. Not too sweet. Also, the guy serving us was very kind and made us feel welcome and at home. Will definitely be back to try out some other flavors.“

“We had breakfast here and had a mix of bagels and croissants. All were excellent. The bagel I had with cream cheese and it was perfectly toasted with the chewy texture you expect from a great bagel.
Filling was plentiful too.
My daughter’s bacon bagel was a little light on the bacon but she really enjoyed it. Also several items our kids wanted were out of stock which the server promptly removed from the menu.
One other thing to point out is that the seating is quite limited - not much they can do about that but if you want to dine in you may struggle to get a seat.
Other than that it was great value and delicious!“

“The staff was very friendly, helpful, and overall amazing. The person who helped us gave good recommendations. Some of the things were a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but they did have interesting food and drink options.
Parking is horrible, but that’s to be expected in Union market. there were a lot of people doing work on their laptops but other than that, there was a pretty good amount of space to be seated if you could find it.“

“Amen Cafe, located at 3661 Georgia Avenue Northwest in Washington, DC, is a standout spot for delicious food and refreshing beverages. The menu features a delightful range of dishes, including the “Dulet,” which reminded me of my mother's cooking—truly exceptional and comforting. Their coffee is expertly brewed, offering a rich and satisfying experience, while the hot drinks are perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The fresh juices are a vibrant and healthy addition to any meal. The welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the friendly presence of owner Birikti, makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a memorable meal or drink.“

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!“

“I love the vibe at Tatte Bakery—it's a great spot to work or hang out with friends. The atmosphere is great, and it’s just a nice place to be. But, honestly, the wait times are kind of frustrating. I ordered drinks online, and it still took over 20 minutes, which feels like forever when you're just waiting for coffee. Still, I'll keep coming back because the space is awesome.“

“My first Tatte experience was at the Bethesda location, thanks to a friend who introduced me to this gem. Now, it’s one of my go-to spots in DC! They’ve got the best of both worlds: real specialty coffee for purists like me, plus all those syrupy concoctions that are popular around here.
And the food? Absolutely delicious! From tarts to puddings, there’s always something tempting to try. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a bag of their granola on your way out—it’s perfect for satisfying those post-café cravings at home!“

“This place is AWESOME❣️ I asked the manager if they could offer more than 1 gluten free pastry & within a week they started offering the MOST DELICIOUS Meusli Muffin❣️ ?
Don't be fooled by the seeds on top into thinking it’s “a drybran muffin” - NO - it’s a moist, yummy muffin that I challenge ppl to try & see you miss no gluten when eating this scrumptious treat! ?
THANK YOU, Takoma Beverage Co. baker!!“
