I would suggest this place over and over again and continue to use them as well . Latoya was such a great help and patient with me and my indecisiveness. Placing this order just days before my daughter’s birthday and being completely satisfied had made her day extra exciting. The cake was moist, the buttercream was perfect. Just honestly everything. “It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

“This cute bakery has incredible baked goods. I had the spinach feta turnover and a slice of carrot cake. The turnover was stuffed with filling, and the pastry was flaky. The carrot cake was the best I've ever had. The cake was moist and well-spiced, and the cream cheese frosting was light and so delicious. The service was wonderful, too. I will be back!“

“Bakery with traditional Mexican breads. Everything we purchased was delicious and very reasonably priced. There is a sign in Spanish with instructions, but if your native language is something other, the process is to grab a clean tray and tongs, line the tray with the paper provided, and use the tongs to retrieve items from the display cases. We went pretty late in the evening, so it was nit as busy as during the day...yet everything was still fresh. Great experience!“

I had the chorizo, the rosemary-fig tart, and the peach-sesame kouign-amann. Life-changing. Every bite. After a bite of their kouign-amann, I threw away the (more expensive) quiche/pastry I'd grabbed from Eastern Market and replaced them with Souk's. Serious upgrade.“

“We consider ourselves conesures of cupcakes. Traveled the US and abroad tasting cupcakes. These were the very worst. Customer service is terrible. Sprinkles, Georgetown, and Heaven Sent Cupcakery Cupcakes exceeds these by leaps and bounds and they all have EXCELLECT Customer service. Oh and their cupcakes are half the price. Sugar Vault is true to its name. The frosting like many have complained has no flavor and measures about a third of a cup in ratio to the cupcake and is unbarerably sweet. The cupcake lacked moisture and was a bit dense. The red velvet did not have a red velvet flavor. Oh and you can't go in to see what you are buying. This is the only bakery that will not allow you to enter even in small numbers rotating thru. Buyer beware...price far exceeds the value. $7 cupcakes, $16 cinnamon roll (haven't yet tried the cinnamon roll). Bought 2 red velvet cupcakes taste tested one and threw the frosting and other cupcake out.“

This place is far more appropriate for kids tastes than offerings at the National Children's Museum next door.“

They also have some vegan cakes (slices and full cakes) including black forest, mocha and more, and they even have some vegan cookies. “They have a gluten free bagel that was pretty good! Not a big fluffy bagel but thr flavor was good. I asked if it was toasted on the same spot as the normal bagels and she told me it's toasted in a bag. The chai was alright, a little sweet for my taste.

We know how wonderful their cakes are and luckily we had an excuse that it was my grandsons birthday so we were able to purchase one of their magnificent cakes. And we look forward to my upcoming birthday when we will get another one! The absolutely best cakes in town“

“This bakery is located in the historic Eastern market on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. My favorite thing is the molasses ginger cookie, with no icing and I like them gooey in the middle. I asked for them that way and I get them that way. Their snickerdoodles are also good and they have a nice selection of breads. Not everything is baked on premise. The owner and the other workers are all very nice people.

Parking: They are very busy on the weekends. The whole market and parking gets more difficult but come on Tuesday through Friday and you'll have your pic of parking spaces. Everything is almost everything is metered.

The scrambled eggs are fluffy and plentiful. The bacon is perfectly cooked and generously stacked. The pesto cream cheese is a delicious and unique add to any savory sandwich. The brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese (?) turns a plain bagel into a decadent mid-day treat. The bagels are a little less dense than a New York bagel, but still thicker than a Cali bagel. I could just go on and on but I went to this place with no expectations and left completely floored. I'm on a bus back to New York right now and I am thinking about how I will actually really miss their bacon egg and cheese with pesto. Anyways come here, spend money here, buy their merch, leave a tip, and have a great rest of your day.“
