“I was visiting the area for a workshop. There was a huge ice snowstorm, and this lovely restaurant was one of the few open. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, gracious and accommodating to the three of us in the party. All of us had different food allergies. The food was amazing and you can see she puts her love and heart into everything she makes. Must visit restaurant if you’re in the area.Dietary restrictions: Her menu is mostly vegan and vegetarian. There are lots of gluten-free options. She makes all her own sauces and uses locally farmed vegetables.”

We had The Brandied Camembert, The Pork Belly, Chicken and Waffles, and Birria Tacos. All were delicious, thoughtful, and expertly cooked, but the pork belly was done so well, so perfect, that I foresee an addiction developing. At 8pm on a Friday night we had no problem finding street parking out front. This place is jewel on the Bangor dining scene crown and should not be missed! Don't sleep on it!”

They don't have a sampler, which is my only very slight complaint. They did, however, let me get a kids plate and add all the different barbecued goodness as sides. Benjamin’s was the final stop, and actually put all the clues together for the hunt! It was such a fun way to get out of the house, and we even each got a free whoopie pie for hunting? I hadn’t been to Benjamins before, but the atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely be in for some pool and darts some night!!”

“First off, there is easy parking for Frank's. That makes everything nicer. That they have been a fixture since 1945 is also nice, but the real test is the product. Being greeted by enthusiastic counter people was lovely. It was easy to figure out who was an employee by their hats and shirts-a very nice touch and nod to the past. Two thumbs up to everything we sampled, from gluten free cheesecake and yummy cookies to pizza. We are looking forward to sampling a sandwich or an entree during our next visit. Be aware that you pay for the cup for the dog in addition to paying for the whipped cream.Parking: When summer is in full swing, be cautious of parking in the spaces that lead to the drive-thru window as you can get blocked in by cars waiting in line.”

“I’m really surprised by all of the bad reviews. I went in around 2:00 on a Monday afternoon and ordered a two piece combo, dark meat. The cashier seemed fine to me, competent - I mean, we’re not running off together to get married, but the exchange seemed perfect to me. She asked, I ordered, she told me my total, I paid, she gave me my cup and told me I was number one, I asked where the pop was, she told me, and we parted company. Then, get this, I walked around the corner to fill my pop cup, was just putting my cup towards the Mountain Dew Lightning tap when a guy hollered out “Number 1, two piece dark meat combo” and there was my box of food - it couldn’t have even been a minute. I went out to the car, opened the box and I had two perfectly crispy chicken pieces, a hot biscuit with butter, mashed potatoes with gravy - needed more gravy - and a spork. The chicken thigh I ate was fricking delicious - juicy, crispy golden perfection. I had to take away a star because management is skimping on the herbs and spices. If they added spices like the Scarborough KFC does, they’d be the best KFC in Maine.”

Now, to be fair, the first thing you see when you look at the order is no robust-inspired tomato sauce. If someone new or looking at that order quickly saw it, they may think I wanted no sauce, but after all the toppings, I added extra parmesan-garlic sauce.I've ordered from this location several times since getting here from work last month and have never had a negative experience.I called and talked to the manager, Tiffany and she was receptive to my complaint. I truly only called so they were aware, not looking to get a discount or anything. Tiffany told me she would give me a $10 credit on my next order which she came through on. Not only was there sauce on the pizza but there was extra drizzle on top as a nod to let me know my complaint was truly heard and resolved.That's excellent customer service and I wanted to take a few minutes to acknowledge the effort and resolution.I appreciate it!”

They don't have a sampler, which is my only very slight complaint. They did, however, let me get a kids plate and add all the different barbecued goodness as sides. It cost me like $22 to get everything that I wanted like that plus a drink. I'm definitely going back.Vegetarian options: No, they don't have vegetarian barbecued meat.Kid-friendliness: They have kid's meals.”

“Fast service. Nice owners who tend the bar. Plenty of parking in the back of the pub. Good Prices. The oldest tavern in Bangor and maybe in the State of Maine. Three generations (same family) have run the Business.Parking: Huge parking lot in back of the pub.”
“This was our first time here under new owners and we were SOOOOO happy. The service was good but the food, the food was so unbelievably good. The crab rangoons were light and airy, were very full and had a great flavor. I hadto go back and order another order of the rangoons to take home. This will be our new go-to Chinese ”

I love that it has sushi offered as well as so many other delicious dishes like general tsos, noodles, rice , even american dishes like salmon and beef brisket. “My husband and I went to Bangor for the weekend and had big plans of going to different places to eat. Those got trashed after we had Applebee's the first night via Uber. We ended up going back there to eat in person the next night. Food and service were both amazing. It continued after we left. My husband left his Jays hat there in a chair. Not only did they find it but the manager Jason mailed it back to us in Canada. That's the kind of service that makes people come back. Thanks!!!”

“Food tastes great—I just can never get it because they are always understaffed and running a ghost ship of online ordering only. They are also frequently out of something—usually fajitas veggies. The lack of staff makes me wonder if the minimum wage laws are going to kill this company. They are allegedly hiring at $17 /hour (sign on door) but appear to only have like three people working generally.Since switching to the online ordering the portions have been very “controlled”/skimpy, and usually done wrong/missing something(s) on the ticket.I go here for the lunchtime convenience, but it is very inconvenient to have to order in the store from my phone since it takes WAY longer than a human interaction—this also means I cannot come just myself with my kid because I can’t be on my phone and watching the little bugger.After 10 minutes of pressing buttons and entering all the items I wanted using the online feature, I ended up leaving and going to Miguel’s because it said the soonest order was 45minutes out.I do really enjoy the food, so this is very depressing.*Edit: previously given two stars, they have improved significantly since my last visit.
