I might add that one of the main reasons for coming here was that they take reservations! There are many places we would have liked to have visited but the unknown wait time (if you get in at all) doesn't set right with me in trying to plan an evening outWell, we knew nothing about Russian/Ukrainian food and our waiter was a HUGE help explaining the plates and Vodkas available. We started with some dumplings (Vareniki) and a Vodka flight which consisted of 3 spicy and 3 sweet vodkas. He made note to us that the spicy 'horseradish' infused Vodka was their most popular. I like horseradish so I enjoyed that one!My wife ordered "Grandma's Golubsty" (some large cabbage rolls) and I had a special dish comprised of dumplings and mushrooms with strips of sirloin steak. “My husband and I took our daughters out for dinner. Nightingale is a lovely restaurant with a bar in the middle. We started with deviled eggs, mushroom bruschetta and french fries. For entrées, we had the Meyer lemon risotto, hangersteak, scallops, and sunchoke soup. The menu had a nice variety of items - our server recommended a few things that we enjoyed (except one).My daughter and I shared the prosciutto and burrata pizza - sooooo delicious! It was a little heavy on the arugula for our taste, but once we removed some of that it was a delicious pie! My daughter said it may have been one of her favorites ever! We also shared a Caesar salad - standard. My husband really enjoyed the skillet lasagna, but the portion was actually on the small side. Our only slight disappointment was the Philly sandwich. The menu didn’t have a description, so her only ask was no onions. When it arrived it was like loose meat with a bland orange cheese on top, in a standard hoagie roll. Not a ton of flavor. “I've come to Earl Giles a few times and the interior has always blown me away. I love the combination of greenery and urban influence. Service is usually fine, sometimes it's a little slower than I'd like but that's usually only if it's super busy. The servers I have had were always polite though so it was never an issue. They have fun drinks and great menu staples. If you like mushrooms then I recommend you get "A Good Trip" pizza - it is phenomenal!“

We all got burgers with cheese and fries, buffalo wings to share, a pitcher of beer. Beer was cold. Burgers were tasty. Salty, messy, and great pickles. I thought the meat was a little dry though and the price point (after adding cheese and fries) is little high but finding a burger with cheese and fries for less than $15 is hard these days! The fries were incredible. The wings were unexpected. The sauce a touch sweet, maybe a little citrusy? I really liked it. The sauce was piled high with fresh blue cheese and was creamy and herbaceous. I'll be back again for sure. “My wife and I came in on Monday before a show at the Fillmore. We had happy hour drinks and appetizers, along with entrees and dessert. Everything was wonderful. Hannah was great and if I remember correctly, Christian was the bartender. He made us very well balanced cocktails for 3 hours. My last drink was the chili rum punch. I pulled Hannah aside to get the ratios for the cocktail it was that good. I was taken back when she said it wasn't as popular as some of the other cocktails. That's a perfect patio cocktail and one that I'll try to recreate with my staff for this spring/summer. The only thing I will reccomend or suggest and it's maybe just a preference. For the crab cake appetizer, instead of placing the crab cake on top of the jalapeno tartar sauce,(which was delicious). Think about placing the sauce on the side and not underneath. It just seemed like there was way more tartar than needed. But like I previously stated, could just be my preference.“
“The place doesn't look much from the front, but the atmosphere is actually quite nice once you walk down the hallway (passing the glass wall behind the bar) and into the main restaurant. On warmer days, the patio looks like it would be an excellent place to hang out. The main part of their menu looked like a build-it-yourself type of thing. Pick tacos, burrito, quesadilla, etc. Then you can pick your protein, style, and sauce. I ended up choosing a Burrito Bowl with Carnitas Street Style. The food tasted great. It was obviously made with fresh ingredients. I was surprised later when I looked at the menu again and saw that it cost me an extra dollar to get the Burrito Bowl, thus saving them the tortilla. I wish the waiter would have mentioned the up charge, although I probably would have gotten the bowl anyway. As I do at most Mexican restaurants -- well, all restaurants -- I got an unsweetened iced tea. Much to my surprise, they charge for tea by the glass. No refills. Again, mentioning this when ordering would have been helpful. Personally, I have trouble paying $4 for iced tea in my at Starbucks... but at least I get free refills. Here, the glasses were much smaller, and again, no refills. At least the tea here tasted good. They checked me out tableside using ApplePay, which was nice. I didn't get an itemized bill. And I'm not quite sure if they tacked on a gratuity or not. Unlike normal, they didn't turn the POS terminal around and ask me to enter a tip amount. Bottom line... not sure if I will go back or not. The food was good. So was the atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced. What may keep me away is that each tiny glass of ice tea (tiny, by my standards) is $4.“

The food is mostly small bites and a couple sandwiches, and the wine and drinks menu is fairly priced and thoughtful.I got the olives and pickled vegetables, and the eggplant red pepper dip with crudités. The picked veg was great- crunchy carrots, cauliflower and other veg pickled to vinegary perfection. The olives were big meaty Castlevetrano olives. For me things went downhill with the dip and vegetables. The dip was sweet and spicy, but the assortment of vegetables was not my cup of tea. I didn’t touch the celery or the green onion (was I supposed to eat that on its own..?) The cooked mushrooms were good and the quality of the vegetables were great, but I should’ve asked what veg was included before ordering. Also, a bit of bread included with this would be a nice addition, without needing to order it separate and pay extra.The apricot old fashioned was okay- a tad sweet up front and bitter on the end. I was happy with it but it is on the sweeter side.Overall I did enjoy Dutch Bar. 2 small plates and 2 drinks were about $50 and they do add a hospitality service fee, but such is the current climate when dining out.I will also mention there was a strong smoky cooking smell in the place. Belly up for brunch and chat with Sam, your friendly neighborhood bartender. They've recently updated the brunch menu and have nailed everything! Im loving the Aerpa Benedict with sausage. Also, the changes to the sammies where you can build your own is perfect. Side note: you make think you want two, but you don't. You'll be splitting in two if you do. Finally, there new cheeses hash browns blow the old ones out of the water.
