“My husband and I chose to celebrate our one year anniversary here today. It was both of our first times dining at Broders’ and we enjoyed everything about this wonderful experience! Upon arriving we were attempting to take a selfie photo outside and one of the employees opened the front door and asked us if we would like him to take our photo. Tyson so kindly took several photo angles and opened up the door for us as we walked in. It truly felt like we were being welcomed into someone’s warm and inviting home. Our sweet waitress helped me select the most delectable glass of wine I have ever tasted. Words cannot explain how delicious the pasta was… we lapped up every single drop and were in absolute food heaven. To top it all off… we were treated to a free dessert of our choosing along with two chocolate cocoa truffles on the house!! After we finished our meal we went across the street to their storefront to purchase some pasta and sauce to enjoy at some point in the coming weeks. We will definitely be back for all special occasions and certainly for our two year anniversary. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience and meal this is the place!! Enjoy!”

The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! That meal was better than we could have ever expected!”

“It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!”

The service was fantastic, our server explained everything to us in detail and with enthusiasm which added to the excitement of the experience. The drinks were not only delicious but also very balanced. I would say that's a theme of the restaurant, great balance. I felt like the flavors for everything we had, from the charred shishito peppers with bonito flakes to the dungenous crab fettuccine, was very evenly balanced and everything complimented the other flavors well. This is definitely in the top 3 restaurants I've tried in Minneapolis so far. Highly recommended.”

I mainly do drive through orders so this doesn’t affect my experience.”

“I had the privilege of trying Channa Kitchen and meeting Anisa at the Linden Hills Farmers Market. This was my first time trying Trinidadian food, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. First, I tried the eggball ("mashed potatoes seasoned with aromatics and herbs, wrapped around hard boiled egg and fried in seasoned bread crumbs"). Then, Anisa gifted a plate of the doubles ("Turmeric-infused fried bread containing curry chickpeas and served with tropical chutneys") to try. All of it was excellent and I would definitely get all of it again. I highly recommend. Anisa was the SWEETEST and she treated us like dear friends from the moment we approached her stand. Her energy is radiant and her passion for sharing exceptional food and creating a delightful experience is unforgettable. I look forward to seeing her again and trying more of her offerings at the next farmers market, and I hope to make it to her location in south Minneapolis to pick up food before the next market because I cannot wait to try more. Channa Kitchen is a local gem, and I am excited to share this with my loved ones!”

“Sometimes it’s the food, and sometimes it’s the people behind it.
We had a really rough evening. The restaurant where we originally had reservations was running over an hour behind, and after waiting forever for dinner, we decided to take a chance and stop by Rosalia.
When we told the staff what had happened, we simply said we were grateful to get a table. What happened next completely turned our night around.
The manager, Will, and his team welcomed us warmly, brought over drinks on the house, and even treated us to an appetizer. From that point on, everything was exceptional. We ordered the Margherita pizza to play it safe and the Salsiccia to balance it out, and both were absolutely perfect.
To top it all off, our server brought us a sample of Little Bird ice cream because we had never tried it before.
Service like this is rare. It’s one thing to provide great hospitality when everything is going smoothly, but it’s another to step in and make someone’s evening better when the problem wasn’t yours to begin with. That kindness and care will stick with us, and it’s exactly why we’ll be coming back.

We spent a few hours there eating and talking and we never felt rushed. The worst part? I don’t have really anything to add here. I tried a few other dishes the other time we came, Bi Bim Bap, beef bulgogi and spicy beef soup and overall the spicy pork bulgogi is my favorite dish we’ve tried, the sides and both boiled and fried dumplings are good too, I’d like to try the kimchi or sea food pancakes in the future, the service is approachable and friendly. I like the mom and pop atmosphere, in fact it’s often preferable to me them places with a “fancy” interior, feels down to earth and home like.”

Before we left, we bough all the cupcakes and cookies from the case and all of us were so excited to have them on our ride back to Mankato. We continued our day and our car was stolen from a parking lot on washing Ave. Of course we are sad about the car loss but we can’t stop talking about how much we are devastated by losing our copper hen cupcakes and cookies. Luckily one of our friends in another car had purchased 2 cupcakes for herself and we all got a bit of the best cupcakes in MN.”

“I flew in all the way from Detroit to Minneapolis Minnesota to visit my all time favorite restaurant. It was a dream come true that it reopened. I have been looking for the ChiChis fix for over 20 years. It was well with the trip and well worth the wait. The chimichanga ( with the Diablo sauce) was exactly how I remembered it. I got the chicken one day, and the beef the next day. A+. The chicken tortilla soup was superb! The original chips and salsa, margarita and fried ice cream was the topping on the cake. Exactly, how I remembered it. Both so good. My daughter got the cheese and the chicken enchiladas and elotes (corn) and she was highly impressed! I got everything with extra Diablo sauce because I had been missing that key ingredient to Chimichangas. The ChiChi’s Diablo sauce. My trip was made extra worth it when the founder of ChiChis son, and current owner, Michael, I believe, came to the table to thanked me for coming from so far away to enjoy ChiChi’s and asked how was everything. I told him first I wanted to Thank him, for bringing our childhoods and favorite restaurant back, and that everything was excellent!!! I was 100% satisfied. No complaints at all. He gave me the history of the ChiChis name!! Very nice guy!!! - He did say that corn 🌽 cake was probably coming back. I am back in Detroit and attempting to plan my next trip. I am having ChiChis withdrawals once again, just like it was 2004. I hope they come back to Michigan soon. Do yourself a favor! Visit ChiChis. You won’t be disappointed. Great food. Great service. The best chimichanga on earth!!”

Everything was fresh and delicious seasoned perfectly and the portions were enormous. Easily could share one dish for two. But get your own leftovers are wonderful . “We stopped here before the Twins game and ended up getting 2 for 1 small pizzas for happy hour the bartender let us know about, score. The sausage and onion thin crust was a hit with plenty of cheese and a slight spice on the red sauce. I am coming back to try more of the food and will definitely be checking out the arcade which has a nice setup and variety of games.”

“I came here on a Sunday night to order takeout, but there were a lot of open tables and I decided to eat in. The host was very nice and gave me a great table and the atmosphere was cozy on a winter night. I ordered the Insalata and Pepperoni pizza and a nice glass of wine. It was all excellent, but far too much food for just me (I was by myself). I took the leftovers home, but the salad did not save well (I threw it away) ~ so my recommendation would be... if you are alone and want salad and pizza, order it ~ but mainly eat the salad knowing you won't take it home, and some of the pizza knowing you will take it home (it reheated fine, but was best at the restaurant) or get one or the other. I would definitely come back, it was a notch above.”
