“Wings are the best I’ve had outside of Buffalo, but sadly the blue cheese was tasteless. Our waitress was nice but brought us the wrong appetizer and often left our drinks unfilled. If you are a Bills fan, DO NOT come here for a Bills/Chiefs game. It was torture. WAY more Chiefs fans than Bills fans and some of them were downright mean, profane, and vulgar, mocking the Bills fans and loudly chanting, “F*ck Josh Allen!” I brought my 15-year old son and I cannot say that it was family friendly. SO MUCH profanity, plus a TV right in front of our table was playing some awful blood and gore show the whole time we were there. It needed to be tuned to the game or turned off. The TVs kept losing their signal, plus they were often not in sync with each other and were always well behind the live game, so patrons were watching on their phones and loudly announcing what we were about to see happen on the screens. Plus the sound was terrible. Apparently the jukebox was messed up, so a guy was going around turning individual TV volumes up, but it was impossible to hear anything. When my son went to use the bathroom, there was no door on it, just a curtain, which he found uncomfortable. So in summary, really good wings, but don’t expect a Bills-friendly atmosphere. It was a soul-crushing experience and my son was begging to leave, but we couldn’t get out fast enough because we never got a check or the box I asked for. I found a box myself and the waitress finally took my credit card after I waved it around for a few moments.“

“Room 39 was the perfect spot for my only night in Kansas City. I made the mistake of deciding to go vegetarian, right before I visited a city famous for its bbq meat! So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I had a perfect table by the window, with the radiator under the table making it cozy and toasty. The cocktails and dishes were fantastic - two Boulevardiers, a Brussels sprout soup, gnocchi with goat cheese, and the flourless chocolate cake with Earl Grey tea. My server Tory was terrific. I can’t recommend it highly enough.“

Their menu is refreshingly short and simple, which works perfectly to highlight their delicious offerings. While drink options are limited to water and Sprite, it's better than nothing and gets the job done. I highly recommend the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, and 'The Fry'—loaded with pulled pork and BBQ sauce—is an absolute must-try!

A quick note on the practicalities: Parking was quite challenging to find, especially with the ongoing construction out front. Also, due to recent rain, the outdoor seating area was soaked. However, these are clearly not the fault of the restaurant itself and don't detract from the fantastic food and concept.“

“We were staying overnight at The Fairfield Inn, and The Summit Grill was recommended to us for a dinner location. We were pleasantly surprised at the deliciously amazing food, quick service, and also our attentive waiter, Travis. I highly recommend the Traditional Pot Roast, and my husband recommends the Chicken-Fried Chicken. If we are in Gladstone again, we will defintely return.“

“My husband and I just stayed here to attend the Kansas City Symphony concert featuring Cody Fry. This is a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location to experience everything downtown KC has to offer. “My wife and I stopped in for the first time in a few years. We were seated after a bit of a wait. It is after all a Friday night in a shopping district. Our server was bright and cheery. She had a warming smile and happy persona. we placed our drink order. Shortly thereafter our food order was taken. I ordered a flat iron steak and a baker. My wife ordered soup and salad. Our dinner was served fairly quickly. Unfortunately my steak was quite a bit overcooked, so I requested one that wasn't over done. When the replacement steak was delivered, it was a bit overdone as well. I was hungry so I kept it. The manager came by to talk to us. I've spent time in a kitchen or two and I understand a dinner rush. The manager stopped at our table and wanted to assure us that this was not acceptable. She made things right, but wasn't needed or expected. I felt bad for our server because she probably feared she wasn't going to get tipped for a fairly big check. She was pretty wrong. I tipped correctly and arguably better than normal. Our return visit ended up being a great experience. We met a couple of wonderful human beings. Had some pretty good food. And, of course, my wife and I got to connect.“

From being greeted at the door with cocktails, the food, the service, the band and Lonnie himself...if you are looking for a Jazz spot in Kansas City this is well worth the money. It's a WHOLE VIBE!!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Lonnie is just fantastic from telling stories & experiences, to tap dancing and the way him and the band keep you entertained from the moment they start. We will be back for more!“

The manager, Ashley, went above and beyond and interacted with our daughters. Showed them the kitchen, gave them stickers, and printed them their own personalized cartoon characters to color with while they waited. AND brought them out bowls of ice cream to decorate for dessert! What an awesome experience it was for us!“

“Awful!!! The chicken was grease soaked & pink, the noodles were overcooked, the Alfredo sauce had so much grease and oil sitting on top. I took a few bites & hours later threw up! The "manager" was supposed to call me for a refund and that never happened. I will never be back or ever recommend.
