“We stopped in Meridian on our way home from the beach, and so glad we decided to eat local. It was the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. My kids loved the fact you could draw on the table and the "bendy" straws in their cups. We also had their brownies and as a self proclaimed sweet eater they were amazing! Everything we had was so tasty. Our waitress was great also! This will be a place we stop at every time we come through!”

“Amazing place! This is a go to for our crew every drill weekend. The only thing that is a negative is they got rid of chicken and waffles that were the best in meridian! Skylar is the best bartender you can have there, so ask for her!”

“This was our first time eating here and we will most definitely be back!!!! The food and the whole experience was absolutely phenomenal!!!!! I got the curry chicken with rice and cabbage, my husband got brown stew chicken with rice and greens, and my daughter got the jerk chicken with Mac and cheese. We also sampled some oxtail and Soursop drinks. I can't even begin to describe how flavorful, hearty and savory the food was!!! The meats were fall off the bone tender! The best curry I've ever had hands down! The atmosphere was laid back and the owners and staff were awesome! It was SO NICE having a great conversation about the love of food and his recommendations were spot on! If you havent eaten here, do yourself a favor and GO!”

“I had The turkey avocato 1/2 sandwich (turkey I did not know that it be just a slide ok turkey and 2 small pices of avocatoe. With a 1 pc tomatoe and some argula. There is moore bread . the tortilla soup was ok. The newks special salad was good”

“Great food and service! We came from Illinois otw to the gulf shores in Alabama and stopped here for lunch. I haven’t ever had a sea food boil before, but I’m glad my first was here! There was a bit of a wait at the beginning when we were sat, but it was totally worth it. Hush puppies were super good, too.”

“I'm appreciative for the free Veterans Day meal of 6 oz. sirloin, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. The food was great, along with the friendly atmosphere at the bar. The server was quick and kept my sweet tea full I was in & out in less than 30 mins 😁”

“The Rib Shack is a small, friendly gem. The food was excellent, well worth the trip. My wife had the pork rib tips, field peas, and fried okra. I had the 2 meat 2 side plate (beef ribs, sausage, baked beans, and potato salad) with a great glass of sweet tea to wash it all down.”

“Just ate lunch at the Punjab Palace on the Frontage Road in Meridian, MS. My son ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, while I ordered the Butter Chicken. The location was once the Checkerboard, so it is not a new facility, but it was clean and neat. The staff were friendly and quick. The food was incredible! I mean, incredible. Best Butter Chicken I have ever had. The Naan was perfect. We will go back. Their hours are 11 am to 10 PM EVERY DAY. I can't brag enough about it. Next time I will try the Chicken Currie. I recommend the Punjab Palace for really good Northern Indian Cuisine.”

There are several other very good Mexican restaurants in town - you need to talk to your employees to do better, to keep your customers!”

“My husband and I had finally went. I got a chitterlings plate with Mac and cheese and candied yams. I came for the chitterlings my plate was $40. The chitterlings was definitely tough a little disappointed, but however the sides was so delicious and my husband plate meat loaf mashed potatoes and candied yams also was delicious i definitely will go back but will not be getting no chitterlings customer service was also good everyone was super nice”

“I went here last night July 2024 I had the best time I have had in a very long time, I'm from Georgia but I tell you what this place was by far the best, the people were absolutely amazing met a lady named Tristan, Ally, Crystal, Liz and Tracy they were the sweetest ladies ever and the owner JJ was by far awesome he danced with the customers by showing us line dancing never acted like it was a problem to play a song we requested one of the coolest owners I have ever met and it was just down right the most laid back place ever no drama just good ole down home fun everyone got along and no drama no jealousy and that was by far the best ever I can't wait to go back thank you for showing me the best night ever”

BBQ was fine but toast was burnt, okra was very burnt and inedible and baked beans were hard (tasted warmed and uncooked). I got the impression someone was distracted.”
