A small restaurant but super busy! Remember to book a table ahead if you don’t want to sit at the bar or high-top tables. The staff were a bit overwhelmed but their attitude was great.They serve a complimentary dish of Quicos before the meal, which was really tasty. I’m usually not a fan of nuts or nut-related snacks, but I finished the whole plate.I ordered the Cuban sandwich and patatas bravas. Both were very savory, but the accompanying sauces were on the sour side—great if you love tangy flavors! It’s a very authentic Iberian style; to be honest, it wasn’t quite to my personal taste, but I can see why others would love it.I kind of felt like I missed out on their true signatures. The meat dishes ordered by the table next to me looked amazing, so I'll definitely have to give it a second try in the future. Also, they have a huge selection of drinks, so it’s definitely worth a visit if you enjoy alcohol.”

We had the delight of having Mitch as our server, he was incredibly patient with those with allergies and anxiety. Thank you for that Mitch. “Good Mexican food with generous portions and plenty of flavor. We tried the chicken soup and several tacos, including al pastor and other meat options. The tacos were tasty, and the fresh guacamole, rice, beans, chips, and salsa made for a satisfying meal. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid local Mexican restaurant and a good choice for a casual meal.”

“2 couples, celebrating on a Tuesday night. What an incredible meal and experience at Bluebird. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by their friendly front staff to being catered to by Massimo (our waiter) and Heather (asst Mgr) and everyone else. The food was amazing, cocktails delicious and dessert outstanding. Some highlights -- fresh WA State oysters, Duck liver pate, Crispy Duck, Scallops, Halibut, etc.. We will definitely be back.”

“I had 50 Kitchen at Deep River tonight and this was incredible food. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The fries were crispy and the oil was fresh. Perfectly seasoned. The bun on the chicken sandwich was of excellent quality, the tomatoes were firm and fresh, the sauce was sweet but not overly sweet. It accompanied the fried chicken perfectly. The chicken was tender and juicy and wasn't over cooked. Every bite was better than the next. You can tell when someone cares about the food they make. From the quality of the ingredients to Anthony's polite demeanor, it was a five star experience and I can't wait to try other items on the menu!”

“My husband and I visited Momo's Master for the first time this evening and had a wonderful experience. We tried Steamed Momo's with veggie filling served with 2 of their signature dipping sauces, and Himalayan Fried Rice (vegetarian). It was great to see the option for both masala tea and coffee on the menu, especially in a downtown Chapel Hill restaurant, therefore we had to try both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan Coffee, and we were glad that we did. I usually do not write reviews but when the food is that good, I do. The momos were one of the best we have had so far and the flavors of both the signature sauces blended well with that of momos. Himalayan fried rice was hot, spicy and very good. The Punjabi guy, Sukhi, and Usha (from Nepal) - both chefs, were great; Sukhi came and asked us how everything was and ensured that it was to our liking. Both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan coffee tasted good, especially Himalayan Masala Tea was really good. The place has a nice, comfortable ambiance. We look forward to visiting the restaurant again and enjoying the food in near future. Highly recommend.”

“The Peking Duck with House Hotpot soup was too spicy for my taste, however the place seemed to be very popular - it was nearly full during weekday lunch time (we were only non-Asian people in the restaurant at the moment). We liked the scallion pancakes and the dumplings. Service was fast and great.”

“Aside from the amazing staff/ownership, the outstanding beer selection and great food consider the fact that they have received 10 consecutive inspection scores of 100.0 which is unheard of! That matters! Think about the last time the tap line was cleaned at your current choice of bar or restaurant. Tap lines are nasty if not maintained. On any given day at TCP you will see them cleaning the line when they change a keg. If you have not seen this at your current top choice you may want to think about what's in your glass. It is not pretty! Oh, and the tap lines are not inspected. TCP does this because it's the right thing to do!!”

Our water glasses stayed full and our cocktails were delicious. The food was phenomenal—appetizer, entrées, and dessert. The presentation was lovely and the taste was divine. The Whipped Feta & Fig Crostinis were a surprise hit! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Red Cream Paneer Curry and I couldn’t get enough of the Tagliatelle Pasta Alfredo with Wild Mushrooms and Shiitake Bacon. The ice cream sundae was great, too! It was my first time tasting non-dairy ice cream that actually tastes good! Given the quality and care taken to provide vegan food that is THIS tasty, I think the pricing is fair, especially when compared to other local cafés/bistros/restaurants in the area. Casual, kid-friendly atmosphere, but still nice enough for a date night. Can’t wait to come back!”

Being a Marylander, I was delighted and impressed to learn that the crabcakes come from Maryland. My husband truly enjoyed his. And came with a salad that was also very good -a cut way above most house salads that most restaurants serve. Will look forward to coming back for the dinner choices plus an appropriate wine which I could not partake of at lunch due to having to work on a ladder in the afternoon. “10 STARS!! We had the most authentic and delicious meal at The Latin Effect on Franklin Street. I had arepos and my husband had chalupas - both so tasty and so different from standard tacos and nachos (also on their menu!). Generous portions and delicious sauces plus fresh hot chips and homemade salsa, and pickled coleslaw with a real bite to it rounded out the meal for a great value. Our server was so helpful in guiding our choices - plus made a fantastic caipereña! We will return!”

“I am in town and really wanted to eat healthy. This place was close and the young man who wanted on me was very helpful. I told him I had never been there before so he explained all my options. The proportions were reasonable, but probably for a grown man it might not be enough. I actually didn’t put any protein on my bowl because I’m a vegetarian so this was a great option for me. The flavor was wonderful. I think it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in a long time. They could keep the bar a little more cleaned up and the avocado was bad so I asked him to give me a fresh avocado which she did without any complaints . I will go back here and eat, and I think the prices are reasonable as well. Just needs a little your observation to the details around the restaurant. Keeping everything fresh is really important us to setting like this. I love it!”

Blackened Fish tacos delicious with crunchy blue corn taco inside softer flour taco shell. Not too spicy. Oatmeal porter was great. Loved the sweet potato fries but there was a $1 up charge for those not mentioned when offered. Would go back.”

“Huge slices, 30 inch pies for a more than fair price, featuring seasonal local vegetables and a red tail grain crust. Friendly staff, wonderful outdoor seating. This is a tasty middle of the road New York style pie with some outstanding ingredients and otherwise decent ingredients. For me the sauce to cheese ratio is just right and the tomato is nice and tangy. The ranch is dill heavy and refreshing and would be great on a piece of grilled snapper but isn't what I'm wanting for ranch with a slice. A picnic table filled patio is a lovely way to enjoy a yummy lunch and a cold pint with family and friends. I'm thrilled to see a high quality flour being used at my local pizza joint and the pizza is tasty enough (and a fantastic deal for the portion size) to make for many return visits.”
