The bacon was basically candied, which was not my favorite and the deviled eggs with pimento cheese were really salty. The poached eggs in the breakfast bowl were very watery, which was off-putting and the grits were strangely gigantic and super soft, although they tasted good. I'd only ever gotten lunch or dinner there before, so I probably will be sticking with that moving forward instead of the brunch. Important to know that this is an open kitchen, so if you're in the main dining room, it's almost impossible to hear anyone else in your party. If you want to be able to have a conversation, see if there's seating available outside of the main area.”

If you’re not in a hurry and you don’t care how your eggs are cooked or how long it is between the arrival of your eggs and hash browns until your ham shows up or your waffle makes it to the table then this is the place for you - but not at the bar counter because it hasn’t been wiped since the morning shift cleared out and the waitress isn’t happy about being asked to clean it. The food was good even though it came in shifts, the service was minimal as was the server’s personality and the prices were reasonable.”

“holy smokes! this place is GOOD. let me be completely honest- I just moved to the area and was not thrilled I no longer had a coffee shop within 5 minutes from my house. I don’t really like sweets much, but I saw they served coffee, so I just stopped in to test it out. I was wrong and this is literally a coffee shop and bakery (anddd ice cream shop!). I can’t tell you how happy I was! We also got cupcakes and when I tell you this is the ONLY cupcake I’ve ever enjoyed in my life, that is the 100% truth. This icing is amazing and not too sweet. The coffee was pretty good also. They have plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor, with rocking chairs too. I’ll take more pictures next time I go. I absolutely love this place!!”

Not only are the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is great for getting some drinks with friends or celebrating a life event with family. All of the meats are super fresh, probably bc they have a Mexican meat market attached right next door but we recently had the torta and the bread was soft and had a fresh baked taste to it. For drinks I’d recommend de Michelada or the Palomas 😍 Just had their pozole yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed..tasted like someone’s mama made that 👏👏👏 Also Friday nights is live music night! Definitely recommend!”

All in all it's a great restaurant, the seating is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and efficient, the food is great, and it's very clean. My only negative comments would concern the volume of the music in the background. When you go in for breakfast, or any time really, you don't need the music turned up as loud as it always is. My other negative comment concerns the fact that they are out of tea bags for hot tea quite often. If tea bags don't come when ordered there is a Food Lion right across the parking lot where a box could be purchased. These are minor items overall, and they won't stop us from dining there, but it would be nice to have these issues addressed.”

Although the staff is friendly, no one seemed to explain the menu items, greet customers, and so forth. Even though the owners were there, they didn’t engage with customers or create the sense of community I thought they would have. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a little uncertain and uncomfortable, esp if you’re by yourself. I recommend this place to try, but it’s no where I would go twice.”

Sirloin was as expected. Kansas City strip was a little tough and had more gristle than expected. Overall the quality level (grade) of the steaks shown through. Will say, kitchen did a good job making the most of what they have and cooking temps were spot one. Service was great, multiple people vlisting table to ensure we had what we needed.”

“I am a loyal Olive Garden customer. There’s no need to ask where I want to eat because the answer is always Olive Garden lol but I must say this last visit was by far my BEST visit. The food was amazing but the service by far stole the show. Our server Donvelle was the best server I have ever had at ANY restaurant. She was attentive and made sure every aspect of our dining experience was covered the moment we sat down to the moment we walked out. She’s AMAZING! I truly hope she plans to stay with the Olive Garden family and perhaps even has the opportunity to pursue management as she is PHENOMENAL!!”

The waiter mentioned he was having a bad day after the "Shelby came out of me"...I guess a bad day was what he was serving as well even if we just wanted shrimp tacos....I didn't get the tacos...I just got a bad day...then went to Burger King 👑 had it my way. I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.”

However, both times we have returned (after a long break) it’s been very nice. Hot food & attentive employees. The Carmel Apple is my personal favorite. Overall glad they decided to come to Winston.”
