If you’re not in a hurry and you don’t care how your eggs are cooked or how long it is between the arrival of your eggs and hash browns until your ham shows up or your waffle makes it to the table then this is the place for you - but not at the bar counter because it hasn’t been wiped since the morning shift cleared out and the waitress isn’t happy about being asked to clean it. The food was good even though it came in shifts, the service was minimal as was the server’s personality and the prices were reasonable.”

I had the Greek salad with grilled salmon; it was perfectly dressed and every bite was full of flavor including the grilled salmon with perfect char. Delicious! I was seated at the busy bar during Sunday brunch in front of the kitchen window. The entire staff, from bar tenders, servers, chefs, management etc, are all happy and respectful towards one another. The vibe of the staff says everything about the restaurant…almost as important as the food. It was busy to say the least but all staff were getting the hard work done and joking along the way. Refreshing to see.
I highly recommend this restaurant and have already been back during my short stay here. Their outdoor seating area is quite large too if it’s not too hot & humid out.”

Not only are the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is great for getting some drinks with friends or celebrating a life event with family. All of the meats are super fresh, probably bc they have a Mexican meat market attached right next door but we recently had the torta and the bread was soft and had a fresh baked taste to it. For drinks I’d recommend de Michelada or the Palomas 😍 Just had their pozole yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed..tasted like someone’s mama made that 👏👏👏 Also Friday nights is live music night! I found that Winston Salem was a pretty good middle stopping point and looked for top rated pizza in the area. I found Burkes after searching through a couple different options and to say the least we are overly impressed. We love pizza and this is definitely top 5 best pizzas we’ve eaten. The girl who answer the phone was awesome at answering all my questions and we ended up getting at 16” chicken pesto, and added all our favorite toppings and a slice of the grandma pep cup. It was cooked to perfection when I ordered it “well done” and my slice was HUGE. Highly recommended as it was super fresh .”

“We had our wedding reception here. It was fabulous. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We had a lunch reception on a Saturday and the restaurant took care of all of the decorations. All we had to do was pick out the menu and show up.
In addition to the indoor seating the restaurant has an outdoor covered seating area. The plan was to use one area for hors d'oeuvres and the other for lunch and the restaurant would be able to choose which was best suited for which based on the weather that day. We ended up having lunch outdoors and it felt like a lovely picnic.
Our guests were talking for months about how the reception was a nice relaxing lunch that allowed people time to visit with each other as the service was so seamless that it never interfered with socialization.
The staff always kept an eye on my wife and I to make sure that we had anything we needed. She and I actually were able to sit down and have a full meal during the reception while still visiting with everyone!”

“I took my son here for his birthday on a Thursday. We were the only ones there which was fine, the staff was very nice and our waitress was very attentive. The food was great! I had the shrimp and grits and it was sooo good! My son had the chicken and waffles, mac n cheese, and yams. He loved it all and they gave plenty of food. The waiter mentioned he was having a bad day after the "Shelby came out of me"...I guess a bad day was what he was serving as well even if we just wanted shrimp tacos....I didn't get the tacos...I just got a bad day...then went to Burger King 👑 had it my way. I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.”
