The bacon was basically candied, which was not my favorite and the deviled eggs with pimento cheese were really salty. The poached eggs in the breakfast bowl were very watery, which was off-putting and the grits were strangely gigantic and super soft, although they tasted good. I'd only ever gotten lunch or dinner there before, so I probably will be sticking with that moving forward instead of the brunch. Important to know that this is an open kitchen, so if you're in the main dining room, it's almost impossible to hear anyone else in your party. If you want to be able to have a conversation, see if there's seating available outside of the main area.”

Hubby went with the surf and turf with brussel sprouts and was very pleased with his meal. I had the new york strip with mashed potatoes and can say with 100% certainty that the steak was the best I have ever gotten in any restaurant. The ambiance is warm and inviting,the staff is knowledgeable and polished and the food is a shining star in Winston-Salem.”

If you’re not in a hurry and you don’t care how your eggs are cooked or how long it is between the arrival of your eggs and hash browns until your ham shows up or your waffle makes it to the table then this is the place for you - but not at the bar counter because it hasn’t been wiped since the morning shift cleared out and the waitress isn’t happy about being asked to clean it. The food was good even though it came in shifts, the service was minimal as was the server’s personality and the prices were reasonable.”

“holy smokes! this place is GOOD. let me be completely honest- I just moved to the area and was not thrilled I no longer had a coffee shop within 5 minutes from my house. I don’t really like sweets much, but I saw they served coffee, so I just stopped in to test it out. I was wrong and this is literally a coffee shop and bakery (anddd ice cream shop!). I can’t tell you how happy I was! We also got cupcakes and when I tell you this is the ONLY cupcake I’ve ever enjoyed in my life, that is the 100% truth. This icing is amazing and not too sweet. The coffee was pretty good also. They have plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor, with rocking chairs too. I’ll take more pictures next time I go. I absolutely love this place!!”

Not only are the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is great for getting some drinks with friends or celebrating a life event with family. All of the meats are super fresh, probably bc they have a Mexican meat market attached right next door but we recently had the torta and the bread was soft and had a fresh baked taste to it. For drinks I’d recommend de Michelada or the Palomas 😍 Just had their pozole yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed..tasted like someone’s mama made that 👏👏👏 Also Friday nights is live music night! Definitely recommend!”

Although the staff is friendly, no one seemed to explain the menu items, greet customers, and so forth. Even though the owners were there, they didn’t engage with customers or create the sense of community I thought they would have. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a little uncertain and uncomfortable, esp if you’re by yourself. I recommend this place to try, but it’s no where I would go twice.”

The food was amazing but the service by far stole the show. Our server Donvelle was the best server I have ever had at ANY restaurant. She was attentive and made sure every aspect of our dining experience was covered the moment we sat down to the moment we walked out. She’s AMAZING! I'll cook my own tacos tomorrow! Don't eat at Mi Pueblo on Stratford road. We couldn't even complain because the manager had to get translation from Lucifer....our waiter.... eat popcorn PBJ sandwich even if you're allergic to PBJ just don't go there.”
