“I’ve been to Star Sushi several times now, and every single visit has been great. The owner, Anthony, and his staff are always super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers — it’s the kind of place where they remember you and your favorites.

The fish is always fresh and the rolls are consistently delicious! My go to is the Star Tower. The amount of fish is very generous and it blends perfectly well with the rice, avocados, roe and sauces. It’s honestly one of the best sushi spots around, both for the food and the people!“

The service was very fast when delivering the dishes, delivering them all within 10 minutes of placing an order. “The store's handmade ramen is the most famous. Its beef noodles are very good and is everyone's first choice. The peanut butter spicy oil noodles are also very tasty and are our second choice. The scallion pancakes are also fried very crispy. Their soy sauce is Sweet soy sauce. General Tso's chicken is a favorite choice for children. The food is served quickly and the service is good at a reasonable price. Will come back again.“

I ordered the lunch special and got the Thai basil fried rice with shrimp, along with soup and fried chicken, all for around $17, which is an amazing value for the portion size. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.

I also grabbed a Thai iced tea to go for $6, and it was the perfect addition.

The service was attentive and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I didn’t feel rushed at all, which I really appreciated for a solo lunch.

“Delicious ramen menu with very rich and flavourful broths. They have very distinct options for adventurous palates, like the Wasabi marinated raw octopus. I recommend all and any of their ramen with pork, chicken and vegan options. I used to attend 3-4 times per week during fall so I got to try all of them. They have seasonal ramen options as well. The service was always attentive and kind. They also have very tasty calpico.“

We got noodles in chili sauce and beef brisket noodles. Both were delicious, the meat was so tender in the beef brisket. I did wish the noodles in chili oil was a little spicer. But maybe I look to white for the full spice version, 🤣. The person who runs the place and takes your order is so kind. She was able to negotiate us a place to sit. “I've been coming here for a long time and I really love everything about it. You get attended to and treated politely by the staff, but not bothered by them unless you need something so you can enjoy your meal there. The food is nicely portioned and tastes the best during the winter when you just walked through streets of chilly air and sit inside to have a nice bowl of hot broth and warm noodles. Please tip nicely if you can, they deserve it!! ❤️“

“Had higher than normal expectations for this eatery given the high rating, and was not disappointed at all.

Pork over rice - amazing marinade and butter soft smoky tender meat. Maybe the best pork I’ve had in Manhattan. Five stars. The two diners at the neighboring table also had this.

Tonkotsu ramen - favorful. Loved the thin shredded gyu-style beef which was tender. Noodles were great.

Miso ramen - okay. Preferred the tonkotsu.

Dan dan noodles - okay.

Looks more like a takeout place than a restaurant, but there is table service. Waitstaff were quiet but helpful.

Prices were very reasonable considering it’s near Bryant Park / Time Square.

Not crowded on a Friday night.
