The eggplant dip and lemon potatoes were my favorites but you can’t go wrong. Lamb riblets, spinach pie, and octopus were all incredible as well. Our server Alex was friendly and attentive. “Everything about our experience here was so so amazing. The second we walked in the door all the servers were so warm and welcoming. When ordering our food they were incredibly patient despite being very busy and took the time to answer any questions we had and talk to us about Greek culture and cuisine. The food felt like a homecooked meal and I would not be surprised if there was someone's grandmother in the kitchen doing all the cooking. On top of all this, the feta....it changed my life. “I found an oasis in the busy city as well place to spend time while my wife is at art class. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, extremely clean. “I love Pi I enjoy getting my Greek frappe and other coffees from Pi. The pastries are exceptional and if you want to have lunch, you can also have fantastic Greek dishes. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the coffees and food that they serve. I go to Pi every time I’m in that neighborhood.“

“Food is terrific and authentic! In lieu of a bread basket they put down a plate of excellent pita and eggplant dip and also gave us and the tables around us a complimentary dessert (delicious). Not sure if this is typical or just for the particular night I was there. Service could be smoother... not bad, but someone should train the waitstaff to give people a few minutes to make menu selections (not come to the table 3 times in 10 minutes) and to check back in halfway through to inquire if anyone would like more wine/drinks. I had to stop the waiter to ask for a second glass of wine, which never showed up. The decor was pleasant and would've been pretty quiet if not for a large table of very boisterous people. Overall, a wonderful, authentic, local spot that I will definitely return to!“

“This is my dream diner. Breakfast is my favorite meal and Madison delivers. Many other reviewers complained about the prices. The prices may be slightly higher ($2-$3?) than other places but you get what you pay for. First, the place is immaculate. Everything shines like a mirror. Second, the food is cooked by a certain kind of professional. I'll compare to another cafe nearby that offers a load of grease with your food. Not here. My hash browns were crispy, fluffy, perfect. Eggs, again perfection. The coffee was not as good as it could be (Lavazza please), but more than drinkable. I'm thinking of moving to NYC. Now I'm looking near The Madison as I'll spend most of my mornings there.“

“Food is really good! Comparably priced to most of the fast casual restaurants in midtown area. Got the Piato both times, and the potatoes are great as a base. Chicken is crispy and nice, and the Bambi and Greek Salads are fire. Service is really really good too, and personally get a kick out of the door to the basement being covered by the trash can lol.

“Everything was great except they had trouble dividing the bill as 2/3rd and 1/3rd. After waiting for over 15 minutes we said split in and we'd sort the difference in cash. It would have been good form to give us cookies or a glass of wine while we waited so long. On the plus side, the food was as tasty as always.“

“Overall pretty good, but not the best or most authentic Greek food I've eaten. It's okay. The service when we sat was pretty quick with waters. The food itself was okay, flavor is there but not strongly. The Saganaki had goat cheese, which isn't traditionally the case nor was it specified in the menu.

They do need groups to all be there to be seated and don't take reservations. I'd understand if it was amazing food, but it was just okay.“
