“Was walking home and stopped by to grab something to eat. Customer in the store recommended to try out the Curry Goat. I got the Curry Goat lunch special, stepped outside the store and eat the entire plate in 5 minutes flat.

“I go to the Roy's in Linden and the food is very good the oxtails, the stewed chicken, Mac and cheese, the yams are scrumptious, the potatoes salad is very tasty and i dont like potatoe salad, the fried chicken wings are deeelicious and to top it off the peach cobbler, sweet potatoes pie and the carrot cake is dangerous, just soOo gooood the place is small but always kept clean and the customers are coming in and out I went their one evening toward closing and they had nutin but oxtails left and that was a small amount which speaks volume but I really wanna mention and rate the service as this is what makes a good business and is just as important as good food I give Roy's an extra ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars for Ms Jay and Ms Shana the both of them are just lovely they both are professional with the customers and their communication is very tasteful they both are just pure aaaadorable I pray that you have nutin but increase ~ blessings endlessly ❤️”

“I visited the restaurant yesterday for Fritay and to my surprise they included potato salad and mac gratin with meal. They offer this add on as a bonus for Sundays only, it was delicious. Service was fast and ladies behind counter were nice! Definitely coming back and highly recommend.”

“I’ve been dying to try Golden Krust so I came to Irvington to give it a run. The jerk chicken is perfect it’s not too but still seasoned well. The Jamaican beef patty has a nice flaky crust and the rice and beans were great with the jerk chicken. The cabbage was very bland and was missing salt which I was disappointed about. The lady working there was decent when I was picking up but there are some problems. If you are ordering on Uber Eats they don’t tell you that the Jerk Chicken comes with sides so I wound up ordering an extra side. Also if your getting juice you can’t choose a flavor on the app they pick it for you.”

I live out of state, but whenever I'm off to the airport, I call ahead either the same day or the day before, and they always hook me up. I used to detour all the way to Queens for some grub before flying out of Newark. But ever since I found Cynthia's, Queens is dead to me! I've saved $40 in tolls, and you bet I spend every dime of it on more Cynthia's food. Honestly, it's the best investment I've ever made—my stomach and I couldn't be happier!

I stopped here for my lunch while on route with my job. The customer service is good! The food was ok tho. I got a small stew chicken, and the chicken wasn’t really stewed. My was very cold, as if it has been in the fridge, but my rice and beans were fresh and hot. Wasn’t digging that. Also the chicken wasn’t as flavorful as I thought it was going to be. Wanted to give 5 stars because I support Black Business of all nations/ cultures, but serving me cold chicken is gets a bad review. Other than that, it was ok.”

“I recently visited Adidun for the first time while traveling from out of town, and while the food had great potential, there were a few key issues that took away from the experience.

We ordered a mix of traditional dishes: Abula (amala, gbegiri, ewedu, and stew), pounded yam with efo, and rice and stew with plantain. The flavors were rich, and we adults really enjoyed the spice, but the heat was overwhelming for my 9-year-old. Unfortunately, the rice and stew were way too spicy for her, and there were no milder options available. It would have been nice to see some variation in spice levels to accommodate different tastes, especially for kids.

One of the biggest disappointments was the owner's attitude. She was dismissive and rude, which made us feel unwelcome. Given that it was our first time visiting, we expected a bit more warmth, especially as we had traveled specifically to try this place.

There were also some issues with the restaurant setup. There was no running water in the sink by the door for washing hands, so we had to use bottled water, which was inconvenient. Additionally, while the flavors of the food were solid, some of the meats like ponmo and shaki were so tough that they were nearly impossible to eat.

In summary, the food had great flavor for those who enjoy spice, but the lack of customer service, tough meats, and the absence of milder options for kids were definite drawbacks. If you're a spice lover, Adidun has potential, but be prepared for some inconsistencies.”

“"This is our neighborhood Popeyes Chicken, Y'all!! 😅 No, seriously, though." I went to get some chicken wings and an Italian cheese and cheese steak. There was no one in there when I first went in, but boy did that change quickly. About 5 minutes later, it was like a family gathering full of people who did not know one another, but we had one thing in common. WE LOVE THAT CHICKEN 😂!! Y'all, we talked about the chicken and how good it is. We even stayed until a fresh batch came out. We laughed and brought up memories of the 2 staff that were still there since our younger aging, me now 50. The point is to get there and get THAT CHICKEN!! OH, the chicken steak was delicious as well. I loved that it was not dry. Also, try the pizza with the beef pepperoni slices.🤤🤤😁😍🍗🍕
