“Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.“

“This place is so adorable and has amazing options for korean food on the go! They have a delicious japche which is my favorite korean dish of all time, i highly recommend it with the bulgogi!! They always have new items whenever i go and the mochi doughnut flavors are always unique and different every time (also delicious). there’s vegan and vegetarian options too so there’s truly something for everyone! The cherry on top is that they are always SO sweet and kind, always so happy to give this place my business.“

“They were short staffed but the owners were so cute and attentive as possible. We had a larger group and ordered several items which were all delicious. The flavors weren’t extremely different from each other, even the spiciest wasn’t that spicy but the crispy outer layer of the chicken was perfect along with the tiny hint of spice. My personal fav was the galbi kimbab. Please support this local business! They even let us turn on the tv to play the Knicks game. What more can you ask for?“

“I've eaten at many Korean fried chicken places across Bergen County over the years, and this was hands down the best. The flavor was incredibly authentic and reminded me of the original Korean-style chicken I grew up with. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and every bite was packed with flavor.

“If you see a sign that says Tomo Sushi, it's the right place. I was confused because I came for Hama Korean, but I talked to the owner of the restaurant and she said it's Hama Korean. I almost went back home, but I am glad I asked the owner.

I absolutely loved food - especially bibimbap - at Hama Korean and so good.

The sign may say Tomo Sushi, but when I asked the restaurant owner, he said it was Hippo Korean. The owners are the same and the food tastes just as good ^^“

“This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Bergen county. The prices are fair and the food is always delicious. I'm a big mul neangmyeon connoisseur and this is the best that I've had in New Jersey. Every other mul naengmyeon falls short of this establishment and is my go-to.“

“Just be mindful that the restaurant is located inside the golf academy, once you enter the building the entrance is on your left.Overall had an amazing experience, they will give you an extraordinary service and treat you like a valued customer at all time. All the dishes are delicious, yet low sodium, fresh ingredients. They have a seasonal menu and it's the best to follow what the owner suggest. They usually have very traditional, healthy dishes.“

“It's such a futuristic way of getting your Korean fried chicken. So simplistic so to the point crunch is phenomenal, And even though it's made to order it's still fast! It reminds me of those individual food dining cubbies/booths for people who like minimal contact/interactions during dining that I've tried in Japan before. A lot of the items that I wanted were sold out but the experience was so well that I will go back again in hopes to get those items ☺️

(I'm not a spicy person but if you are the bokki is perfect for you, to me it was too spicy to enjoy unfortunately, even with the cheese added. But everything else about the bokki was spot on delicious!)“

“We’ve been here many times, and the service is always excellent. It’s a great spot to visit, especially if someone in the group isn’t a fan of seafood. Although it’s a seafood restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious Korean dishes. Our favorites are 김치찌개, 돈까스, and 한치회무침—which almost tastes like 물회, just without the soup. All the rolls are fantastic as well. Highly recommend!“

“I visited this spot for the first time yesterday evening. We had a variety of Korean foods (radish kimchi, japchae, dried pollack, spring rolls) and all of them were very good. It was a total lifesaver as both my wife and I are new parents, which makes cooking difficult. I plan on coming here again and would not hesitate to recommend the store.“

“The jjajangmyun here is better than a few places in NJ! My favorite though is the shrimp kanpoongi! It’s half the price and double the flavor with the same amount of shrimp compared to most restaurants. Went twice this week to order it. YUM!! The shrimp fried rice is on point too. “Completely surprised and intrigued with the menu. This is NOT a Mexican food restaurant as the name might fool you. The shrimp taco wrapped in seaweed paper was so fresh tasting,crunchy and absolutely delish. Fried rice served in your own skillet and you mix the egg in was the best! The smores waffle with homemade custard ice-cream was to die for. Bartender Robbie is a pro mixologist with really new style drinks. This place was a treat and I cant wait to go back. “I’ve been to Don Chicken several times now, and it never disappoints. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the flavors are always spot-on. “Sushi & Kimchi has become my new favorite comfy, cozy, and cute hideaway in Rockland for when I want the best tasting and authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Gina (owner) and Julie (waitress) are both absolutely lovely! Both Gina and the restaurant remind me of what I recall to have been the first Korean/Japanese sushi house in Bardonia, NY that I grew up up dining at in the early 2000’s and up until I moved out of state in 2008. Unfortunately, that location is no longer in business, but Sushi & Kimchi definitely gives all the nostalgic feels! The foos is always fresh and absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is always on point, and you’re welcomed each time with a warm welcome from everyone! It’s a little hidden gem in a parking lot off of Route 59 in Nyack that winds down in the late afternoon and is calm in the evening. The perfect place to go for an overall relaxing experience that will have you leaving full after having enjoyed every last bite! I’ve also ordered through DoorDash and the presentation, temperature, taste and overall quality were all solid as well. Thoroughly impressed!

“Authetic korean restaurant serving some good Tang Soo Yook! Very nicely fried and portion is generous! we also tried their seafood jjampong and it was good. I bet the heat is even perfect during colder weathers! I would love to come back and try their jajang. so hopefully soon.

Inside was clean and spacious and service was very good. We were asked if we wanted tea or water which I appreciated. we also had some fried pork left which we got to go and the staff gave us extra sauce! we felt so welcomed.“

“Always our go-to place in Paramus. We have yet to do their bbq but plan to soon. All their à la carte dishes we’ve tried is good/legit. Recently ordered their mul naengmyun (cold buckwheat noodles) - this was so good, chewy noodles. We also ordered the galbi dolsot bibimbap which came out on a big sizzling pan with a good amt of veggies, galbi and rice that was crisping on the bottom. And the duk mandu guk (dumpling soup with rice cakes) - also 😋. Banchans were fresh. Service is different depending on who you get 😆, but even just the food is worth going for.“

“I was looking for a good place to eat for lunch and found this place. The food is amazing. I never had dumplings where no sauce was needed. Fresh and explodes in your mouth with flavor. “Delicious chicken. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I had takeout from K chicken and it’s always a hit with my family. Recently had lunch at the restaurant and the service was A+. My go to order is chicken wings with the sweet and spicy dipping sauce on the side so my kids can enjoy them too. Kimchi fried rice and fries are also so good!“

“This place is a fantastic find. They offer an incredible range of food, covering everything from fresh spring rolls, kimbap, and various side dishes (banchans) to hearty soups and stews. They also have great mains like donkatsu and perfectly marinated meats ready to cook at home.

The best part? It all tastes authentically home-cooked and truly delicious. Every single dish I’ve tried here has been amazing. Prices are totally fair, and the owners are such genuinely warm, kind people.
