“Cool new spot in town! I was reluctant to try this place out but I decided to give it a try after seeing a nice crowd in there. It turns out there is a new owner, he just kept the name of the place the same. A mistake in my opinion but at least he did one good thing. He hired a great bartender named I know from Barrel and Brew. This guy can make a great drink and he is so personable. He interacts well with guests and designed a great menu of drinks. I enjoyed a couple of delicious margaritas while I was there. They also had a DJ named Bronson playing some great music. I look forward to seeing how this place does because I've always said this spot would make a great bar because of the nice patio outside. It would make a great hangout for the summer. I can't really comment on the food because I only tried an order of wings but they were good. The ambience though gave me reason to believe this place could make it at this spot.“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

The owner patiently waited (and had to come back several times) because it took us a bit of time to make up our mind. Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose just a few dishes.We were very happy with our choices. Everything was delicious!- Shrimp burger - I already knew that the texture would be like a patty consistency of minced shrimp, but my friends were surprised because they were expecting whole shrimp pieces in the burger. I was a fan of the dill sauce on it, but if you don't like dill, maybe ask for it on the side? The dill taste and smell is strong, which goes perfectly with the shrimp burger.- Empanada Sampler - I wish I remembered what flavors were included in this, but everything was super good.- Mofongo Supreme - The mofongo was delicious and it came with pieces of cheese, shrimp, and steak. Definitely need to go back to try the lobster mac and cheese that everyone seems to be raving about and try their other dishes, as well, which all sound delicious.Tips: - There is plenty of street parking nearby and even a municipal parking lot to the left of the restaurant (if you are facing the restaurant).- It seems like a lot of people do take-out so that is an option, too.- We went on a Saturday night and left around 8:30 and they were supposed to be opened until 11:00, but they closed early for a private event, so maybe you should call ahead to make sure that they are open for guests or pick-up.
