“This is no longer just Tony's Pizzeria but also a Peruvian and Colombian "food truck" restaurant.TripletaIt was goodThis plate was the MVPFish, lomo, salchipapa, and chaufa with maduros for $30Also had a dine in Sicilian slice, big and delicious ?“
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“
“We were fortunate enough to bag an early lunch here after sitting on the waiting list for weeks, and so glad we got in today. The food, service and overall experience was simply outstanding. It certainly lives up to any hype and is totally justified. If you are visiting the city and luckily enough to secure a table, you won’t be disappointed.Outstanding team Torrisi…“
“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“
“Seriously most amazing staff. Had a last minute big catering request and they absolutely took care of everything for me, even packaged items seperately so nothing spilled and nothing perished. The manager Michelle and the hostess whose name is also Michelle are the KINDEST and most ACCOMMODATING ladies. Also the food is absolutely AMAZING and for the price too! Thank you again for the wonderful service and kindness. Highly recommend Rubirosa if ever you are in NYC.“
“The restaurant is cozy and very charming with a good vibe. However, my wife’s dish was too salty and mine was heated in the microwave. The gnocchi was overheated and overcooked. A disappointing experience. It was my wife’s birthday and I am sad the food was way less than I expected due to the good reviews I read before thanking her there.“
“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“
“I came here to make a pilgrimage to this pastry bakery, which has been operated by a family for more than a century. It is a very authentic Italian dessert. Sorry, I made an appointment with a friend here to catch up with old times, but I ended up eating the cake without taking any photos while chatting...The three of us ordered New York cheesecake, tiramisu, and eclairs. Sorry for those who are reading this review, there are no photos of the food this time (I can only attach photos of people who have finished eating) and can only use the rest. Imaginative…“
“We were in town visiting our son, who lives in Greenwich Village, and he recommended Maestro Pasta as he had recently dined there. We loved it so much…the atmosphere, the food, the service…we went back a second time in the same week. I know it’s crazy. Of all the restaurant choices there are in NYC, we couldn’t get that freshly made pasta off our minds and had to go back. The swing seating by the tables is a very special touch. Alessandro, the owner, is amazing… so friendly and personable. We’ll definitely go back there every time we visit. Still can’t get that pasta off my mind.“
“You have to remember that when you dine in a Michelin star you will be paying a big price for tiny portions. So all that aside the food itself was truly amazing. You must get the gnocchi fritto. The bread is pillowy soft, not greasy at all and pairs so well with the salty proscuitto. I was most excited about the uovo ravioli and tbh it was a bit disappointing but I think this was just a personal preference because of all accts it should be a perfect dish. You need to be prepared to go all out because otherwise you will leave hungry.“
“what an incredible experience. the place is packed all night long and serving the best squid ink pasta i’ve had. strachiatella and fig toast along with the mushrooms are essential too. the cheesecake for dessert hit home. fabulous wine list too. must go!“
“Ever since Village Crown closed I have missed a truly satisfying kosher restaurant...and now that I am vegan the challenge is greater. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. These were the highlights of a memorable dining experience in a charming place.“
“Best tip: dinner and try the braised artichhokes. Not sure I want to tell many people about this place or it will become even harder to get a reservation like Don Angie or Rezdora. We were very surprised by all the dishes. The braised artichoke though was amazing, flavorful and unique. We only had the pasta and they were great (tortellini and the verse ragu).Although I must say the ambiance is a bit louder than I would typically enjoy so be prepared to a more lively and noisy dining than usual. Definitely more casual than those I mentioned - but the food is worth it.“
“We spontaneously got a place - reservations are recommended. Seating is rather tight, please pay attention to the volume when the restaurant is full. More authentic Italian cuisine. Taken on its own, it tastes very good. Service friendly and accommodating.“
“This was our first time and we had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the ambiance set the ideal mood to enjoy the experience. The duck and the agnolotti were particular standouts that were quickly added to our “best in the city” list. We will be regulars from here on out!“
“Hands down best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had, as well as the best red sauce on the lobster ravioli. The atmosphere was immaculate, with classic Italian music playing outside over the patio. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was cheap for lunch. However, dinner options are around $20-$30 per person. We were looking for somewhere to eat and many waiters were asking us to dine at their establishments as we walked through the neighborhood. We were drawn in by Mr. Ayman and one of the waiters. Mr. Ayman was an excellent, gracious host who truly cared about his service and food. If you’re in Little Italy you have many restaurants to choose from. Be sure to choose L’Amore.“
“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“
“All was so incredible - food, service, vibe of the restaurant, all were 10/10. We got so many delicious dishes but our favorites were the cacio e pepe and the chicken parm smothered in vodka sauce (what’s not to love about that???). Would recommend going, and we’ll ABSOLUTELY be back!“
“Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“
“Had a cozy lil' table for two last Friday night, and Osteria Carlina hit all the marks for outstanding food, warm hospitality and intimate atmosphere. Everything we tried was a treat, with the beef tartare, Barolo risotto, beef cheeks and molten chocolate cake standing out as our favorites. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! It was a packed restaurant with couples and friend groups, seemingly everyone in high spirits. Also: points for the playlist which spanned from the Bee Gees to Fleetwood Mac – we're excited to come back!“
“I have been dying to visit and it did not disappoint! The owner was so kind and gracious to my friend and I and even allowed for a third friend to join us! It was all things pink, fabulous and fun! My heart shaped pasta was amazing, the service was intentional and welcoming, and we stayed until they closed. I cannot wait to go back!“
“We came across Aura on a night out, and we are so happy that we decided to go in. We loved it so much, that we stayed till closing. The owner welcomed us with so much warmth, and hospitality. He was incredibly accommodating and got us seats by the beautiful, electric bar even though it was full. The bartenders were super sweet, fun, and everyone was so pleasant to be around. Overall it was a cozy, fun, charming little place.Drinks were amazing. Our friend tried the food and she loved it. We will definitely be back for more drinks, the food, and the aura ;)“
“I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“
“Came here for dinner with friends. My friends are regulars and love Locanda Verde. They’re foodies like me, so I was excited to try this restaurant…Well, now I know why they love it so much. This place nails Italian food; every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. My favorite was the rigatoni. Additionally, they have an impressive list of wines. Furthermore, the staff are stellar. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Keep up the excellence Locanda Verde!!!“
“I went to Rome in October 2023 and I wasn't able to eat the famous Italian panino, as the queue was huge and I didn't have much time. But I took advantage and when I was in NYC 2024 I went to the Times Square store and ate The Odd Couple, wonderful!!!!“
“We’ve eaten at several places in Little Italy but this may be our new favorite. It’s the real deal. Truly fresh pasta - you can taste the difference. We had the bucatini and the gnocchi. They also brought a chocolate cheesecake or mousse dessert that was ridiculously good. The service was excellent. Very friendly, patient, and right on top of everything. There is plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor tables. The interior is fresh and welcoming. We even enjoyed watching an employee carve a large wheel of cheese. It’s been the closest thing we’ve found in the US to our experience in Italy. The bucatini reminded me of the same thing I had at a tiny, family restaurant in Sienna. We will definitely be back any time we are in the city.“
“Absolutely loved this restaurant! Service was superb! Great vibes … felt very safe with distance of tables . Service and head waiter was so welcoming ! Lentil soup and Salad gelato with shrimp Delicious! Salmon , lasagna and homemade pappardelle so yummy . I just returned from Italy and felt like I was right back there ! Will be back !“
“This is one of the few restaurants opens late and took our order 15 mins before the kitchen close. The servicers are friendly and welcoming. Ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and Crispy Octopus. This pizza is the thinner style, the crust is slightly crispy but soft mochi-like inside. It is pretty light and not greasy; it’s stated as spicy on the menu but is not.The crispy octopus is alright, the octopus is on the tough side, so not everyone would like that. However, the vegetable combination and sauce surprised me. The celery and herb are tossed in a light refreshing sauce, with the spiciness and tanginess from pepper dew and crispy potato, overall, a complex flavor profile yet refreshing and savory appetizer.“
“It's just a stellar place, the interior is gorgeous, and our party decided to stay in the outdoor cabin. For a party of six, it was cozy but be wary of be who sits on the outside sometimes that wind will cut deep between the sliver of an opening. The food and service was exceptional. Truly great experience. It “
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a VERY long time. Every dish was a 10. Exciting, innovative, yet still approachable and incredibly delicious. Still thinking about the seabass tartare and the mafaldine with king crab mmmmm. The team there is TOPS. They execute flawless fine dining service in a way that feels genuine, cool, calm and collected. Many many thanks to Whitney, Darnelle, Naomi and Josh. Already looking forward to my next visit.“
“Lively place. My friend from Italy he recommended this place. We were group of 9, mostly vegetarian. Excellent service and everyone loved the food. The portions were pretty good size. Highly recommend and can’t wait to back out. Yes, good for date as I saw few couple and great for friends night out as well.“
“This is by far the best vegan Italian food we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, healthy and delicious! No refined sugar, excellent gluten free pasta and crust, only healthy oils (no canola or soybean oils), and super fresh ingredients. Love their concept of truly healthy food. Sha, our waiter provided stellar, friendly service. He was able to easily answer all of our allergen/ingredient questions. He was the best! All of the chefs and floor staff were incredible too. Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“My second time to Bad Roman and I was impressed once again by the food and the service. The decor is fun. It is always packed for dinner. The noise level is low. Every dish is terrific and I cannot wait to return. The filet mignon meatballs are the best ever! Khalil was a terrific servers and well as the rest of the staff.“
“We stopped in before our NYU tour and were greeted & seated right away! The menu includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more! My daughter is a vegetarian and appreciated the vegetarian suggestions on the menu. The food came out quickly and was both fresh and delicious! We would come here again!“
“We had an excellent experience at Marcellino. The meatballs were fantastic. The mozzarella appetizer was one of our favorites. I especially loved the raspberry blossom drink. We had no problem making a reservation and the service was excellent.“
“Sitting at Diego’s bar made me a better wife, mother, daughter, and person. He brought me back to life and shared his passion for New York, making me excited about waking up tomorrow. If Sofia’s does not give Diego a significant raise, they will be doing themselves a disservice. Diego is the reason for Sofia’s. He is the light. Go to Sofia’s for Diego… And the orecchiette di salmone. Sofia’s is lucky to have him.“
“The menu is small, and the preparations are simple. While the menu doesn't present any surprises, it's a step up from the substandard Italian-American fare too many places pilfer to an unsuspecting public. Pep's claims to make all pasta in-house.We didn't order a pizza, but those I saw coming out of the wood oven looked very good to my keen Neapolitan pizza-loving eye.My rigitoni with eggplant and thin slabs of fresh mozz was good. The pasta was cooked *perfectly* with a delightful chew. The eggplant was flavorful and creamy and there was lots of it.My wife's salmon was properly cooked, and my fussy daughter's chicken Milanese was a generous portion, that was tender and crispy. Their dishes were good but unremarkable. The service was not overly attentive, or very polished but it was friendly and more than acceptable.“
“Had a wonderful evening on October 4th at the Surf and Turf event! Many thanks to Marc Forgione and Dave Pasternack for creating such a wonderful menu collaboration. Catching up with friends at this dining destination was a welcome diversion in this crazy world!“
“One of my favorite places in NY. Very good cocktails. The famous garibaldi is a must, but they have many other good ones, including their variety of negronis. Food menu is also interesting. Italian vibe, great atmosphere and top hospitality from all the staff. Reservations are recommended.“
“Great experience. Amazing staff, and some really excellent bites of food. They were able to accomodate a large group of us, even on a Friday night (with prior reservations) - but didn't think we'd be able to find a place that did.Really grateful for them for making it work.“
“Besides the fact that the service was excellent, from start to finish, the food was truly outstanding, beginning with a generous slab of parmesan cheese with bread at the beginning. I had the tomato soup, served piping hot as it should be, with melted cheese at the bottom of the bowl--wonderful touch! Had the Ramerino salad as a second course which was served with a light lemon/olive oil dressing--fantastic--followed by the spaghetti alla chitarra, which was great. The portions were generous throughout. If you like Italian food, you'll love this place--fresh, excellent ingredients beautifully prepared and plated.“
“December 2023My friend and I back here again for great wine. We were waiting for next door to available, so we decided to hang out here first. I Could eat here at I saw they have lots of nice menu but my best friend who is super crazy about food demanded to go to the next place so I'm very easy person just go with it. Service is always nice and professional. With out my friend I will come back to try great food next time.2019Il Buco is next to the restaurant that my friend and I went to have a dinner. Looks from the outside this place is very attractive then we stepped in and we spent time in il buco for couple hours, lol. We had several drinks, met some interesting people, had a nice conversation and enjoyed my evening so much. We didn't eat there but from what we talked to another people, they all say food here is very delicious and I will definitely try to eat here next time:) nice drinks and nice interior!“
“An absolute nightmare. If drinks are normally served a certain way with an additional charge, it should be disclosed as such and not add the additional charge without informing customers. We were also charged for an additional drink and bread service we never ordered or received. The service felt rush the whole time we were there.-------------------------------------Update* We were charged the wrong bill and refunded.“
“Saw this place featured on Instagram, and since I work five minutes from here I figured I had to go for lunch. I tried the La Paradiso sandwich and it was phenomenal. The bread was crispy yet somehow still soft, and you can tell it was very fresh. The mortadella, cheese and pistachios were all great too, and the sandwich was very filling. The sandwich by itself is $18 which is pretty steep imo, but I guess the quality and quantity kind of justify it.“
“Came here for a birthday. Very friendly staff and great decor.Started off with some Brussel sprouts, calamari, it was all pretty good. Brussel sprouts slightly overcooked but not too bad. Calamari is great esp the green color sauce.Had a burger, very good! My fellow diners got pasta - they said it was mid but they still enjoyed it.Overall a great please. One slight bother was the $8 for bottled water. Not sure is tap water is an option but seeing $16 charged for water was not pleasant and a surprise.Additionally, more non pork options would be great.“
“Ferdi is amazing. Everything we’ve had - calamari, salad, bruschetta, shrimp scampi, chicken scarpariello, pasta with seafood - delicious! And, everyone who works here is so very gracious. If you haven’t yet tried Ferdi - you have no idea what a wonderful meal you’re missing!“
“A perfect dining experience from start to finish. Welcoming staff and expert service made this an unexpected treat. My husband and I started by sharing the special salad chock full of blueberries, blackberries, pomegranate and hazelnuts. For our entrees, he opted for the well prepared black bass special, I enjoyed the pappardelle with sausage ragu. We shared the fresh fruit pastry shell with gelato - a beautiful creation and the perfect way to end our meal. Such a lovely find - can't wait to return.“
“carbone was very good but i think it looses points because of the amount of hype it’s given. don’t get me wrong the food is amazing but i don’t think it’s worth stressing over a reservation or worrying waiting a month to eat at. for food we ordered the spicy rigatoni, lobster ravioli and meatballs. the rigatoni had opposite views at my table, i was not impressed nor did i think it tasted like vodka sauce but my mom absolutely loved it. same goes for the ravioli, there is a strong tarragon flavor which i am not a huge fan of so i did not enjoy it that much but my mom loved it. i will say that there was a lot of lobster both in and around the ravioli so i think it is worth the price. we were debating on the meatballs or the veal parm and ended up with the meatballs which i regret! they were fine but i honestly like trader joe’s frozen meatballs better. it’s a standard red sauce and i feel that the meat itself lacked some flavor. as for the freebies, the meat they give you was surprisingly my favorite thing. i can’t remember if it was soppressata or salumi but regardless i don’t normally like either and i devoured it, that was my favorite thing at carbone. the mozzarella is standard mozzarella you could buy at eataly, nothing too special. the garlic bread also wasn’t great, the bread was hard and i’ve had better garlic bread. the reason that carbone still gets 5 stars is because of the atmosphere and service, the restaurant is gorgeous and honestly feels like a step away from the world somehow. our server was absolutely wonderful. he guided us through the menu by telling us what he recommended and what went well together. he was able to coarse things nicely and he even brought me a drink for congratulations. hey really go above and beyond here to make you feel welcome and comfortable. i would come back if i was celebrating something because it’s definitely a restaurant for that but i do think that it is overhyped.“
“This is the best pizza I ever tried in passaic, the place it’s very quiet with nice relaxing music in the background, very good prices and the attention is really good, I can tell the owner of this place take care in every move he does. 10/10 in my “
