“Recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and the penne Al vodka was hands down the best I've ever had - perfectly cooked pasta in a creamy, flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of kick. But beyond the amazing food, what really stood out to me was the welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and attentive service that made us feel like valued guests. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations and I can't wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend!“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“

“Food was incredible, but the service wasn’t the greatest. Our first waiter was lackluster, but the second waiter was great. Also the receptionist was a bit rude. Other than that, I’m still thinking about the espresso martini and oysters - they’re amazing!“

“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“

“Generally not a fan of New York thin crust pizza, I thought Rubirosa was fantastic. The flavor of the pizza more than made up for the cracker-like crust. Everything on the menu looked so good. The people next to us ordered the lasagna for two and now I have to try it on my next visit. Be sure to make a reservation a week in advance!Dietary restrictions: Large selection of gluten free pizzas and pastas“

“Order: broccoli, brown butter, buffalo mozzarella, rigatoni, olive oil + pistachio ice creamVerdict: first and foremost, just an awesome waitstaff. Effortless but nice. The pastas are totally fine, but honestly one note. Felt similarly about Lilia so no real change. The gelato was Excellent though. Only thing I'd come back for is the desert.“

“Anelle was AMAZING! Truly one of the most remarkable service and food experiences I’ve had in NYC- every single course was an absolute smash hit and a transportation to Tuscany. This is the type of meal that you want when you want something truly, really special. Core memory while living in NYC. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you to the entire staff!!Dietary restrictions: They are so accommodating to any dietary needs, and totally create the menu around your needs!“

“Came here on a Wednesday after work and was able to grab a seat at the bar. Went for the "Busiate Siciliana al Pomodoro" which was a pasta with eggplant. For the affordable price of $26, I got a huge plate of pasta that lasted for two meals. It was flavorful, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the service was fast. Definitely has more of a finance bro/businessman crowd in there but all the staff were welcoming. Worth trying it out if you're around!“

“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“

“Excellent food and service. I am a visitor in NYC and was referred to the restaurant by friends who had all good things to say about their experience. We are so happy we went there for dinner. The duck was delicious. The pasta was delicious, the sauce was sooo good. We will be back again. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. As an added plus, Gabriele greets his customers, and that made it extra special when he checked in on our table.“

“They must have a crew of nonnas in the kitchen here because this food tastes like a New Yorker’s childhood. Hospitable and charismatic, from the host to our server- the true energy of an authentic Italian restaurant. Ask for Anastasia when you come in if you want to have an amazing dinner, couldn’t ask for a better time for a memorable evening between close friends.“

“A friend told me about their Porchetta pop-up at lunchtime Thu-Fri-Sat and I had to try. Had the standard Porchetta sandwich, which was a very good size, served on fabulous fresh baked foccacia. The meat was very tender and the flavors were all wonderful. Already looking forward to next time!“

“Delightful spot to get together with friends or for a date night.Queue can be long but more flexible if you're open to outdoor seating. Just leave your name, number, and explore the neighborhood (stay close!).Food was more generous than expected without tipping into quantity over quality zone. Pasta had a nice chew, anchovy bruschetta was even more of a win than anticipated, and waiter was helpful when it came to wine choice.Service became a little more relaxed as the tables filled up and one group table seemed a bit indecisive. However, that's a matter of circumstance. All in all, good service.“

“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Speaking on behalf of the bakery, as someone who has somehow managed to sample almost everything at least once, this is the best bakery in NYC. While my Baba always wants a canoli, I enjoy their fruit tarts and their perfect cream. My father cannot go without a slice of the Sicilian Cheesecake and would buy the whole giant wheel if we let him. The assorted cookies (especially the rainbow cookies) and biscotti are also great. It is a must go if you are in the neighborhood and need a treat.Shout-out to the tiramisu cake we bought for my brother's birthday. Soaked in espresso, perfect marscapone layers and fresh lady fingers. They even did a quick writing job for us.Thank you for all the great treats!“

“Ever since Village Crown closed I have missed a truly satisfying kosher restaurant...and now that I am vegan the challenge is greater. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. These were the highlights of a memorable dining experience in a charming place.“

“We had the most delicious meal with cousins from Italy. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Parmigiana, Wild Boar meatballs, the Piccola Cucina salad, Rigatoni with pesto, Tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, ravioli and all of the desserts. The service was impeccable. The wine list is very extensive. We had 2 great bottles of Etna Rossa. I can't wait to go back!!“

“I grabbed dinner here and it did not disappoint. This was a cute and cozy spot just a few steps from the L train. For cocktails, I started with the Spicy Mezcal Marg. It wasn't my favorite, as I expected it to be spicier, since Szechuan peppercorn and Calabrian chili were some of the ingredients used. My next drink was the Hugo Spritz, which was amazing!! It made up for the first drink: it was refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). For apps, we had the Rye Pita and hummus. Now let me just say, I am not a hummus girlie, but the hummus here was so flavorful and smooth. It wasn't gritty as I have experienced in the past. It definitely paired well with the pita. The star of the show was the Lahmajun, which is sort of like a pizza (without cheese) with lamb. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb, the herbs & spices were just so delicious. Our server told us to dip it in the hummus and I had no regrets. We also had the braised chicken thigh, which felt very much like comfort food. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb meatballs, which were so tender. The pairing with pomegranate really brought the flavors out. Overall, I definitely unlocked some new tastebuds here lol. I would return again for the Lahmajun alone! Service was exceptional as well :)“

“This was our first time and we had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the ambiance set the ideal mood to enjoy the experience. The duck and the agnolotti were particular standouts that were quickly added to our “best in the city” list. We will be regulars from here on out!“

“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“

“It's very nostalgic and authentically retro in the space, despite being crowded it's quiet. Great service without trying too hard. Brunch was good but not exceptional, Dessert was a dream. So so good and the menu is filled with traditional favorites which I appreciate. I enjoyed people watching and the general feeling of old New York was so comforting. For me it was a splurge and worth it for the atmosphere and dessert.“

“Hands down best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had, as well as the best red sauce on the lobster ravioli. The atmosphere was immaculate, with classic Italian music playing outside over the patio. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was cheap for lunch. However, dinner options are around $20-$30 per person. We were looking for somewhere to eat and many waiters were asking us to dine at their establishments as we walked through the neighborhood. We were drawn in by Mr. Ayman and one of the waiters. Mr. Ayman was an excellent, gracious host who truly cared about his service and food. If you’re in Little Italy you have many restaurants to choose from. Be sure to choose L’Amore.“

“Been here several times idk what took so long for the reverse, but this place is 10/10. Always great customer service and ambiance. Been for lunch when calm and busy dinner time. Food is always on point freshly made and hot. Flavors are robust. Pricing is average, but worth it. Love how much the business has grown. Can't wait to continue going back and bringing new people with me. The spicy calamari as appetizer never fails. For main course i had the penne (don't remember exact name) had mushroom and truffle added chixken as protein. My niece had the lobster spaghetti and she loveddddd it! Overall, recommend and look forward to trying other locations for same great experience.“

“We were staying in Midtown recently and wanted to find an Italian place that didn't feel touristy, and offered "real" Italian food vs. the typical Italian-American fare of spaghetti & meatballs and chicken parm. Il Corso fit the bill perfectly - wonderful food; cozy, elegant environment; and excellent service. We were especially impressed by the creative seafood specials that were available the evening we were there. Prices were surprisingly affordable for NYC, as well - the bill for our dinner of shared app, 2 entrees, shared dessert, 2 espressos, and 2 glasses of wine was only around $160, without tip. Truly EXCELLENT value for the quality of food and the level of service we experienced! We will be back!“

“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“

“We enjoyed our dining experience at Osteria Nonnino. The servers are attentive and make sure you always have a full glass. They have a variety of specials to try, I ordered the chicken parmesan which was great. Not too thick of a piece which is how I like it and topped with some pasta. For dessert was the tiramisu. The tableside tiramisu was delicious and the presentation of the server putting it all together was awesome.“

“Before actually visiting Dante, I had featured them in an article on the low ABV revolution for Drinks International. Dante is a shining example of an industry shift towards lighter aperitivo-style drinking establishments. Inspired by their travels in Italy, the team wanted to promote the European style drinking experience to New Yorkers, accustomed to sipping Old Fashioneds, even before dinner. Original founder Naren Young says that customers often hang out for hours, sipping four of five of Dante’s sessionable drinks like the Garibaldi, Americano, Spritz or lighter versions of the Negroni.Dante is an Italian aperitivo hangout done well. Think Bar Termini but on a larger scale. A staff with positive energy, comforting natural lighting throughout the bar, and skilled and happy bartenders making a better rendition of the Garibaldi than in Italy. I had such a great experience at Dante that I was tempted to visit a second time the following morning before my flight back to Milano.“

“I went to this restaurant for my birthday, and despite the last minute discovery, Giovanni and Matteo went out of their way to surprise me and bring me a slice of cake to celebrate. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! “Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“
