“It’s more of a desert shop. Very tasty. The atmosphere is great too and very clean. The only down fall to the restaurant is the staff. Not welcoming at all and don’t greet you. I’m from out of country and I love to experience new places and I like to go back to restaurants that are friendly and warm, however, I won’t return here because of the staff lack of hospitality.“

“Mr. Khalit is amazing! I stumbled upon his shop while i was waiting for my train at Kew Gardens station. It was extremely cold day and was around the shop’s closing time, yet he asked me to stay in his shop even though my train won’t be here for a while. Mr. Khalit is kindhearted and seems to love his job. I’m so glad I found this gem and definitely will visit again if I have the opportunity!“

“I've never tried Kava before and so, I really wanted to check it out! This spot in Brooklyn is a very casual, relaxed, and chill spot for you to hang with friends or get some work done (there's free wi-fi!). The menu is pretty straight forward and you can get either your choice of tea or a cocktail.

I ended trying Blood moon, lassi, Kolkata, and Cinnamon toast crunch cocktails. The cocktails themselves were pretty decent and just tasted like juice. Definitely a cool experience, and I would love to try other spots.“

It has that typical coffee shop atmosphere where most tables are filled with people working on their laptops, which makes it feel lively but still relaxed. So happy it’s just around the corner from me ☺️. The bartenders are amazing, Jessica is such a sweetheart and makes the absolute best drinks. The owner is super cool and really sets the tone for the great vibes here.
The cook always puts out delicious finger foods which are perfect for snacking while drinking. I especially love when they do karaoke nights and bring in live bands, it’s always a fun time. And when DJ Sound Nice plays there, he always has the place rocking with all types of music.

Blacksmiths Breads was one of the breakfast places on my list.. and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was spot-on and the croissant was perfectly soft, buttery, and fresh. “I’m new to the Neighbourhood, but I just found my new spot. Tommy’s deli Is a nice convenient and well Established. The owner Angela was very nice very respectful and the way she ran her business and the entire presentation is a five out of five. It’s A+. She’s a great individual.

“Saw that this place had good reviews, we walked 15 mins. from the subway to get to Pando’s and got a great view of Brooklyn’s real estate evolution otw. It was wild seeing decades-old brick structures sitting right next to gentrified/priced out houses.

At Pando’s, the crepes were legit, and the kids loved the New Yorker—oreo bits + chocolate drizzled on top. Would’ve been nice if they could’ve been served with slightly less disdain. Though to be perfectly fair, it would’ve been best to sit outside with our 2 kids, as cafe seating was limited and any noise is easily amplified inside.

“Soft butch is the place you want to be if you want community, INCREDIBLY MADE coffee++, and amazing service. The owners really care about what they’re doing and you can tell from both talking to them and experiencing their drinks. I’ve gone there to do work and it’s been perfect, lots of outlets, quiet, and good vibes. “I will go the distance for excellent coffee and pastries and Rita & Maria has both!! I’ve been coming to this quaint cafe for the past 2 years or more. The cafe is a 20 min walk from my place and it’s well worth the trek. I would typically walk over with my dog, so it gave him a chance to sniff along the way. Each of the many visits have been a good experience. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, no matter how busy they are and there is typically a bit of a line. I’ve had my fair share of delicious pastries—maybe to my own detriment (working on discipline)! Rita & Maria’s never fails to impress, always offering a unique twist on their pastries and changing them for the seasons. Their baker creates some wonderful creations. The most recent tasty, perfect pastry was their citrus olive oil fennel cake. Soo soo good and moist. The fennel gave it a nice twist. The sizable piece was perfect and once I finished I wanted to have another! Of course, it’s all about moderation. I’ll be back for a slice another day!“
