Food was delicious with generous portions, coffee had a home taste to it, service was outstanding and food priced just right. “Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

We went to celebrate my birthday with my husband and siblings and honestly… we had such a good time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super nice and helpful and just made everything feel easy and welcoming. The vibe is really good, cozy, great music, loud enough to vibe in your seat but still easy to talk.

We started with the guacamole & chips and the tostoncitos with birria, both so good. While we were eating, Marcelo (the owner) came by and was so warm and welcoming. You can tell he really cares about the experience.

For food, I got the chimi sandwich with birria (so good), my husband got the mondongo birria, it had a lot of meat (he even said it was a bit much lol) but the flavor was really good. My siblings got the ribeye steak and shrimp tacos with rice and beans and loved it.

The drinks were sooo good, passionfruit mojitos, mocktails, and the Frida Kahlo drink were all a hit.

You can really taste the Dominican-Mexican fusion, which I loved, it’s different in a really good way. Marcelo and his team were all so kind and attentive.

We literally left still talking about how good everything was. Such a vibe. Can’t wait to go back.“

“I ordered from two good to go, which is an app that gives you discounted meals for less at the end of the night. They gave me liver which I’m not a fan of liver, but I gave it to a friend. I got potato salad. That was delicious a soup with pork in it and vegetables, rice and beans and a vegetable dish with okra and plantains. “I’m Puerto Rican and when I’m feeling homesick (often lately) I come in for a feast. Best rotisserie chicken, perfect seasoning, tasty crispy skin. Arroz con gandules is my favorite but the congris (black bean rice) is a close second. Also, I have a severe gluten allergy and have never had an issue! Love this place!“
